The cable modem worked with the generator power, so I would think the router and

For some reason the Sony television also worked, although I think it would draw

electronics in the cable system that might keep the internet from working in a
power failure, but the Optimum Voice telephone worked. CIO

I ate
breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and
milk. The was a wasp in my apartment, and I opened the door, and it
flew out into the hallway. About 4:15 P.M., the electricity went off.
I turned off my electronics when it came back on briefly. With the
building generator the low wattage lights work, but not the more powerful items.
I dressed, and I went out. The fire department was also paying us a
call. I picked up my mail. I went downtown, and I went
by Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Mason Street, and I used their ATM machine.
I then went by CVS on Greenwich Avenue, and I bought four 9.75 ounce lightly

I then drove down a bit further on Greenwich Avenue, and I walked the entire
length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat out at
various locations. I stopped by Zyn stationary, and I bought a ACES
High $1 scratch card, and I won $2. I used the bathroom at the
senior and the arts center. I stopped by CVS again, and I picked up
a prescription. I bought a 10 pack of CVS disposable twin blade

CVS 3.5 ounce Clorox drop in toilet tablet for $1.99, and two buy one get one

plus .66 tax for $11.62 total. I then completed my walk.
I sat our some more for a while. I drove down by the waterfront.
I went by the Greenwich Automotive Exxon service station next to the Greenwich
Library, and I bought $20 of self service premium unleaded gasoline $3.599 a
gallon for 88.6 miles driving the past 12 days at 16.1 miles per gallon at an
average of 12 miles per hour. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and
I bought a dozen large eggs for $1.69, whole boneless breasts of chicken at
$2.99 a pound for $3.41, a 2 pound bag of onions for $2.19, a 16 ounce bag of
baby carrots

garlic at $2.99 a pound for .36 for $11.73 total. I then returned
home, and I put away my purchases. I washed the breakfast dishes,
and I made my bed. I watered the plants, and I put out white vinegar
in the scent bowl. I threw out some garbage and periodical
literature. The elevator is not working. I started up the

a lot of these internet people whom supposedly have money, only have something

not is opened to question. I found two Lincoln pennies on Greenwich

I opened up a 7 ounce box of frozen Armour lite sausages, which I put in a 10
inch skillet with three tablespoons of water on medium heat with lid, and I
cooked them for 7 minutes stirring occasionally. While doing that I
mixed in a large metal bowl with whisk three extra large eggs in a mixing bowl
with a teaspoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of oregano, a tablespoon of grated
parmesan cheese, and a couple of tablespoons of milk. Once the sausages
had cooked for seven minutes, I removed the lid, and I let the rest of the water
evaporate, and then I added a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, and I mixed in
the egg mixture, which I scrambled around the sausages. Once the
scrambled eggs were cooked to about medium soft, I put the frying pan on a
dinner plate to warm the dinner plate, and also while cooking the eggs, I
toasted two English muffin halves which I put a small bit of olive oil on.
I put it all on the dinner plate, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea.

I mentioned that most of the interest on the waterfront on Steamboat Road over
the years besides fishing was that people were interested in seeing Victor
Borge's former home, and not many people seemed to be interested in the Watson

then chatted with
Contact - Consulate General of Denmark New York to see if they knew anything
about

From what I can tell, the largest population group I know here in Greenwich,
Connecticut seem to be Danish, but one usually only sees them in the winter, so
maybe they go back home to Denmark in the summer. Since I do not
know Danish, Dutch, or German or the other northern European language besides
having studied four years of French, it is hard to tell what is going on with
northern European community. However, I do have the native language
of English, so at least in terms of English I can make sense of what is going on
in this area. Even Queen Elizabeth II's husband Prince Phillip is
Danish, so perhaps he could translate between English and Danish, but I am not
sure if he ever learned English in his world travels. CIO

I went out after the last message. I stopped CVS, and I returned the two
Southwestern Bell rechargeable telephone batteries for $6.36 cash refund.
I drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. I then walked the
entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat
out at various locations. I chatted with the pizza delivery person
from Planet Pizza whom is from Brazil. I chatted with a customer at
the Greenwich Hardware store from Belgium. I chatted with a family from
Providence, Rhode Island. I chatted with someone that looked
familiar, but I could not place the individual. About the time it
started to rain, so I stopped by CVS briefly again. I then sat
underneath the glass canopy to stay dry for a while at the Pickwick Plaza by the
Chase Bank. I then completed my walk in the pouring rain.
I did not bring my umbrella, and I left it in the car, and as usual it rained.
I did have on my yellow DuPont Gortex rain slicker with hood, so it kept me from
getting totally soaked. I stood out for a while underneath the
Greenwich Post Office colonnade which offers shelter from the rain.
I then stopped by the Greenwich Library, and I chatted with the reference
librarian. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought a 1.75
quart container of Edy's Slow Churn coffee ice cream for $1.99 and fresh green
bananas at .79 a pound for $2.57 for $4.56 total. I then returned
home, and I chatted with a neighbor. I then microwaved a 21 ounce
frozen Maria Callendar meat lasagna which I sprinkled a couple of tablespoons of
grated parmesan cheese on along with a few dashes of parsley, garlic powder, and
oregano, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea. I chatted

Microsoft Windows XP Professional Automatic System Recovery backup from the C:

www.hourofpower.org on television
channel 45 digital from 8 A.M. to 9 A.M.. We have Dutch families in
Greenwich, Connecticut, but as far as I know we do not have a Dutch Reform
church, but last I heard there is still a Dutch Reform Church in nearby Rye, New
York, and there is another one in Tarrytown, New York. The
Rockefeller farm in North Tarrytown, New York used to be a Dutch Farm, and I
once met a man would lived in Dorothy Bush's neighborhood whom claimed his
family had owned it before the Rockefellers. He even had a familiar
Dutch look of my youngest uncle. Also in Manhattan, there are still
quite a few Dutch Reform churches including Marble Collegiate Church.
Thus the Dutch still have a presence in this area, so just because they do not
walk around in wooden shoes, they have managed to keep a foot hold in the area.
On my primary computer system, the HP Photosmart P1000 printer turns on with the
power strip switch. I chatted with a Dutch friend whose family has
continually lived in this area for 400 years. His name is Richard
Van Marter at
Country Living Associates
Real Estate in Wilton, Connecticut, and he knows this area better than
anyone I have met in this area in the 45 years that I have lived here.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will shower, and I will clean

I chatted with a friend. I washed off the two green wrought iron
patio or porch tables with Fantastic orange cleaner, and then I rinsed them with
a hot damp cloth, and I dried them. I put them in the far end of the
living room by stereo system stacked on the chair and the floor in front of the
chair, so they are out of the way of the primary living room sitting area, and I
will take them up to Maine in two weeks. One of them was missing the
plastic cap on the bottom of its leg, so it would sit slightly unleveled, so I
took the similar cap from a gallon jug of America's Choice white vinegar, and I
trimmed it, and I inserted in the opening of the bottom of the leg, so although
it is not quite as thick as the other legs' caps, it is more level and about a
quarter inch less thick, but it also keeps the metal part of the leg from
sitting on a damp outside deck. They look quite nice, and they
should look nice on the deck in Maine, and they are big enough to hold a potted
flowering plant along with a drink glass or whatever one would set down on it
from an adjacent chair. CIO

I put away my laundry. I ate a few handfuls of dry roasted peanuts

town with the same zip code as the poorer area of Belle Haven, we have learned
to watch our budget in terms of computers. I have heard there is
even a wealthy European banking family living nearby, so if any of these so
called rich Americans have barrowed money from them over the centuries, it would
not look good for them being living high on the hog with barrowed money with
your banker watching your every step. I remember back in the more
frugal days of Greenwich, Connecticut when John Reed was the President of
Citicorp
Welcome to Citibank , he
use to drive a Volkswagen to commute to the Greenwich railroad station.
I use to see the former chairman of the Federal Reserve bank evening walking

www.forbes.com magazine, Steve Forbes said
that Hedge Funds are the sleaziest game in town. Since although they
might be profitable, since they are also unregulated, one could also easily lose
one's investment capital. My personal viewpoint particularly if one has a
large amount of investment capital, one tends to drive up the markets, when one
buys into the markets, and when one sells one drives down the markets.
Thus it would seem prudent to me for large capital investors to invest in long
term United States Government Dept
U.S. Treasury - Daily Treasury Yield Curve , where at least one would not
risk losing one's principal. Even tax free municipal bonds can lose
their principal I think if they are bid down. CIO

15,000 BTU LTH air conditioner for $320. They also had a 18,000 BTU
air conditioner, but I am not sure what electrical socket it takes.
I bought five 6 foot 16 gauge 13 amp extension cords for $1.24 each and two 12
foot 16 gauge 13 amp extension cords for $2.33 each plus .80 tax for $11.66.
I then returned home. I chatted with a neighbor. I
disconnected the 20 inch Dell monitor from the primary computer, and I moved it
out of the way. I installed the other older Belkin Power Control
Center beneath the other three power control centers. I connected it to
the surge protector power strip. I used one six foot extension
cord, and I connected the powered USB LAN device to the second control panel
left switch. I connected Minolta 1250W laser printer to the bottom
control panel right switch. I connected with a 6 foot extension cord
the Logitech cordless headset for the primary computer to the second switch from
the right on the bottom control panel. I connected a with a 6
foot extension cord the Logitech cordless headset for the server computer to the
second switch from the left on the lower control panel. I connected with
another six foot extension cord and three prong adapter, the Lexmark X85 to the
left switch on the bottom control panel.
They thus are setup as:
Computer, Left Monitor, Right
Monitor, Cable Modem
Powered USB port and LAN
device, Speakers, Network Switch, Router
Power Strip for the Logitech
cordless headset, powered USB port and printers; Scanner; Lexmark E238; Lamp
Lexmark X85, Headset #2,
Headset #1, Minolta laser printer
Each of the four control
panels has a master switch.
I labeled the new switches on
the fourth control panel with small labels covered with scotch tape.
I reinstalled the Dell 20
inch monitor. Thus the top the Dell 20 inch monitor on the right is
about 3.5 inches higher than the top of the Dell 19 inch monitor on the left.
I also took out the two floppy disk boxes from beneath printer stand beneath the
control panels, and I put them on the floor the right of the woofer. I
move the old telephone cards by the AT&T telephone by the French reproduction
chair in case any of them have time left on them. I put the spare 15
foot, two 12 foot, and one 6 foot extension cords in a bag on top of the cable

06/23/06 Friday 11:55 P.M.:
I went out after the last message, and I chatted with some neighbors. I
returned back to my apartment, and when I turned on the Minolta laser printer,
it blew the fuse on the UPS device. I looked more closely at the
small UPS instructions, and it said one is only suppose to connect the computer
to it. I moved the monitor again, and I removed the UPS device, and I
checked its fuse which was blown. I went out to the new
www.radioshack.com in Cos Cob, and I
bought two packages of four Radio Shack #270-1056 5 amp 125 volt fast acting
fuses 5X20 mm GMA type. I then drove down Greenwich Avenue by the
waterfront, and I returned home. I chatted with some neighbors.
I then installed one of the new fuses in the UPS device, and it works fine
again. I hooked up the surge protector power strip with all of the
devices attached to it to the surge protector wall outlet. I connected the
UPS device to the computer switch for the Belkin surge protector power control
switch. I place the UPS device on the subwoofer beneath the
keyboard, so it gets plenty of ventilation. I plugged in the CPU
cable to the UPS device. I then had to put a new monitor cable on
the 20 inch Dell monitor, since I broke one of the screws on the old cable.
To turn on the primary computer, one has to turn on the control panel switch and
then the UPS device, and that turns on the computer which comes on with power.
To turn it off, one shuts down the computer, turns off the UPS device and then
turns off the control panel switch. The "power strip" switch also turn on
the Minolta laser printer power, and the Lexmark X85, and the powered USB port
box and the Logitech wireless headset. On the server, I connected
its UPS device to the Belkin surge protector power control strip and only the
server CPU cable is now connected to the UPS device, and one turns on the server
by turning on the UPS device and the CPU power switch. I positioned
the UPS device underneath the desk, so it gets plenty of ventilation.
For some reason, it looks like the server was hacked because it the Microsoft
IIS server would not go online. Instead of trying to troubleshoot it, I
restored the C: drive ASR backup, and I did some minor configuration and
updates, and it is now running again. I then did a Microsoft Windows XP
Automatic System Recovery backup of the C: drive. I chatted with a
relative whom thinks I am nuts for working on the computer all of the time.
Earlier today, I ate about 40% of 16 ounce jar of Planter's dry roasted peanuts
with some ice tea. I will now eat two scoops of butter pecan ice
cream. I put the spare fuses in a plastic zip lock bag in the left top
desk drawer. I could have used the fourth Belkin power control
device that I removed, but that would have set the monitor two high. I
might put it with the backup systems in the bedroom. However, it would not
take too long if I decided to install it on the primary computer. I
will now go through my email. CIO

I received this reply from the Katonah free library. Email follows.
Hello Mr. Scott,
I did not find a Scott among John Jay's mother's predecessor's. However, I
could not go back very far on her family tree. Here is information I was able to
obtain from books in our collection.
Most of this information came from Stahr, Walter. John Jay, Founding Father.
New York: Hambledon and London; 2005.
John Jay born 1745
John Jay did not have any British ancestors, his great-grandfather Pierre
fled from France to Britain in late 17th century to escape persecution as a
Huguenot.
John Jay’s grandfather Auguste or Augustus Jay came to America and worked for
Frederick Philipse in New York.
1697 - Augustus Jay married Anna Maria Bayard, Dutch Church, New York City.
She was related to many of the prominent Dutch families such as Stuyvesants, Van
Cortlandts, and others.
John Jay’s maternal grandfather, Jacobus Van Cortlandt, married Eva Philipse,
adopted daughter of Frederick Philipse. They had 5 children, two of whom, their
son Frederick and their daughter Mary, married children of Augustus and Anna
Jay.
1728 - John Jay’s father Peter married Mary Van Cortlandt.
1774
– John
Jay married Sarah (Sally) Van Brugh* Livingston (1756-1802), who was the
daughter of William Livingston (1723-1790) and Susannah French (1723-1789).

I hope this information proves helpful.
End of Email. Of course the
book that I read in Greenwich, Connecticut library about the first families of
Manhattan published around 1800, listed the first 2000 families in Manhattan,
and two of them were from the Scott family, and it mentioned one of their
daughters had married into the Jay family, so it must be a different Jay
relative. Whether the Scotts in Manhattan were related to the Scotts
in Virginia, I do not know.

I woke up at 3:30 A.M..
I ate
breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, 2 slices of toast with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and
milk. I went back to bed until 6 A.M.. I made my
bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I showered, and I cleaned
up. I went out, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue.
I chatted with the
www.mit.edu observer.
I chatted with the attorney for the Greenwich Housing Authority. I
stopped by CVS, and I bought four 16 ounce jars of Planter's dry roasted peanuts
for buy one get one free for $3.39 both. From the clearance rack, I bought
a Linx 6 foot USB 2.0 cable A-B for $1.99, and a Southwestern cordless telephone
battery S60508 for $4 and a Southwestern cordless telephone battery S60506 for
$2 and .48 tax for $15.25 total. I then went completed my walk.
I drove down by the waterfront. I then went by Putnam Trust Bank of
New York on Mason Street. I then went by the Greenwich Hospital
Thrift shop, and most everything is half price. I bought a maple
framed mirror about 19 inches
by 29 inches for $10 and two medium green modern wrought iron with scalloped
glass outside tables about 18.5 inches by 24.5 inches by 18 inches high for $15
each for $40 total. I put them all in my car. I said
hello to another morning walker. I then returned home. I
hung the maple frame mirror on the right side of the kitchen entrance.
I move the mirror from that location to the lower back side of the apartment
entrance door. I moved the horse calendar from the back of the door
to the right hand side of the right living room closet door. I
stored the two green patio or porch tables at the near end of the down sofa.
I chatted with a relative. I will return the two cordless telephone
batteries, since they are the smaller ones, and they do not fit any of my
cordless telephones. I will take the two wrought iron outside porch
or patio tables to my relative in Maine, when I visit in July.

I also steamed for 15 minutes on medium electric burner heat with an inch of

6/25/06 , and I could get this set of tires
Costco.com BFGoodrich® Traction T/A® V 205/55R16 for about $420 with
the $60 discount plus tax, and I would still need to get the 4 wheel allignment.
My Costco card is good through June 2006. However, they will
probably have the same sale in the fall, and I could renew my Costco card at
that time for $50. Since I think my current tires are good for a
round trip to Maine, I will probably wait until the fall. CIO

06/21/06 Wednesday 10:40 A.M.:
I checked with
www.mavistire.com in
nearby Cos Cob 1-203-698-9599, and they could install a set of V rated all
season tires with mounting, stems, balancing, and four wheel alignment for about
$550. They would install a B.F. Goodrich traction V rating, a
ContiExtreme Contact V rating, or a Pirelli P6 Four Seasons H rating in size
"205/55R16" , and their are other alternatives. I chatted with
www.samsclub.com up in Scarborough, Maine,
and they could fit me out with a better set of Goodrich or Goodyear tires for my
car for about $460 to $500, but they do not do alignments, and I would have to
go to Sears nearby to get the tires aligned. I still have over a
quarter inch of tread on all four of my tires on the 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo wagon,
so I technically could make the round trip to Maine during the first part of
July 2006, and have the tires replaced locally here in Greenwich, Connecticut in
the fall before the winter season. In other words, there is no
rush on replacing the tires. I chatted with a relative.
I like the Dunlop Graspic DS-2 or the Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3 or the Pirelli
Winter 210 Snowsport or Sottozero winter tire at
www.mavistire.com . The
installation of the snow tires would be about $50 more than the V rating tires,
and I think around here it would be better to have snow tires. I had

back to bed until 6 A.M. this morning. I ate
breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, 2 slices of toast with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and

English security agency. Last Saturday night Sunday morning, the
person I chatted with coming out of the wine bar beneath the Greenwich Financial
center looked a lot like
Gordon Getty - Wikipedia,
the free encyclopedia whom I have seen here before. I think he
might be the person that contributed all of the opera CDs to the Greenwich
Library since he is an opera fan
The Metropolitan
Opera , and I have seen him using the Greenwich Library before. Helen
Williams of
http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm fame use to be in charge of the Opera
guild in Manhattan. Gordon is in the wine business, and I
mentioned that the Rothschild family had moved out of France to Byram Shore road
about 15 years ago. The Getty gasoline station in Cos Cob is also a
Starbucks coffee shop now, so maybe they branched out into the coffee business.
There is still a Getty gasoline station at Exit 5 off I-95 here in Greenwich
near the Hyatt Hotel. The Getty family are security conscious as I recall
when I was in Italy in 1972, one of their heirs had been kidnapped in Rome, and
they cut his ear off to prove they had him captive. Thus
wealthy people whom travel through this area and wealthy people whom live in
this area are not only interested in their investments, but they are also
interested in their family security, and that is probably why we have so many
private security agencies in this area. I simply volunteer as an
experienced volunteer. However, if push comes to shoves, I just call
"911", and I let the local security people handle the matters. They
are quite experienced in such matters in this area, and generally since I live
around a lot of Italian neighbors it is like living around the Mafia, so we
really do not have many security problems if you get my drift. CIO

whom also smoked cigarettes when I chatted with him. It is the
nature of tech people that they are focused on so many tech details, it is hard
for them to get the point. I explained to them they should hire our
new resident from
www.mit.edu , and since he
worked on the Commodore computer, more than likely he might come up with a way
to make something like a small Commodore computer web browsing machine that
would sell for something in the neighborhood of $40 and be very user friendly to
the general public. Having worked around MIT when I was at
Polaroid's research lab on Osborne Street, one never knows what they are working
on. The only thing that the MIT people ever talked to me about while I was
at Polaroid's research laboratory was better paper chemistry for making better

They do not know how they move those big potted palms in the front of the house
from the green house to in front of the house in the summer. I will
have to keep an eye on my miniature palm to see how well it does inside during
the summer. I think the Roosevelt family are still in the coal
mining business and the steamboat business and the Bank of New York business,
but being in politics for so long, they might have forgot what their businesses
were. Of course John Jay's
John
Jay Homestead mother was from the Scott family of Manhattan, so probably
they knew each other, and maybe the Scott family from Manhattan was related to
the Scott family from Virginia, but after losing so many wars, we are left
researching history as to why they think we don't exist anymore. I
tried calling the Jay homestead, but it was just an answering machine.
I checked with the
BEDFORD, New
York FREE LIBRARY , and they gave me the telephone number for the Katonah
free library 1-914-232-3508 and the Bedford Historical Society 1-914-234-9751.
I chatted with the Katonah free library, and I asked them if there were any way
to find out if John Jay's mother's Scott family were related to the Winfield
Scott family in Virginia, since both families as original settlers might have
had land grants from the same Scott family in England, but Scott is a very
common name in the United Kingdom and Ireland, so they might not be related, but
if they were both from the same town in England, they might be related.
The reason I am looking into it is that I have a bit of free time, and with the
internet and free long distance telephone calling, it is easier to find out.
However, frequently records from the earliest days of European settlement in
America are not available, but possibly they are still available in Europe.
I will now have to shut down the primary computer, and I will get ready and go
out for my 4 P.M. appointment. However, I am waiting for a

I went outside, and I checked the weather, and it looks like it might be up to
95 degrees today. I chatted with a neighbor. I picked up
my mail. The neighbor who is retired from the electronics business,
thinks they should put in duct work from the Community Room which has ample air
conditioning to air condition the hallways in the building, which I think would
be a good idea. I chatted with a relative, and I sent a fax to a
relative, so we know the relative's fax machine works. On the
matriarchal side of the family, we have at least one successful relative
Boven, Douglas G. , while the rest seem to be content to plant tulips in
Holland, Michigan
Holland Convention & Visitors
Bureau , which is also where some of the wealthiest families in Chicago,
Illinois also happen to vacation, when they can not afford vacations on the
Ocean Coasts. In Holland, Michigan which I last recall visiting around
1961 or maybe around 1969, as I recall it as cold as Maine, and Lake Michigan
can be as rough as the ocean, but since Holland, Michigan is on the Eastern
shore of Lake Michigan, if you love the sunsets in Key West, Florida, you also
will enjoy the sunsets over Lake Michigan. However, to stay warm,
you need to know how to light the kerosene stove or whatever they still keep in
the uninsulated cottage. I think the Holland Furnace company
Willard
Library - Photographs from Battle Creek's History - Industries use to be
there, and they use to make those big coal furnaces, such as they use to heat
the Greenwich Country Club
http://www.geocities.com/mike2scott2006/Greenwich-Country-Club.jpg with
before oil became plentiful, which currently it is not, so maybe they could
figure out how to get the Holland Furnace company going again in the business of
making coal furnaces, which do provide a nice even heat in the winter, if you
happen to live up north in a big building that needs to be heated.
However, my family was not affiliated with them, but the Landware family that
once lived here in Greenwich, and owned the Greenwich Radio station also owned
the Holland Furnace company, and they put the first Beatles records in America
on the Greenwich Radio station, when my father was given them by General Norman
Ireland Smith during a trip to England at least a year before they appeared on
the Ed Sullivan show. General Norman Ireland Smith was a famous British
General in Burma during World War II. The Boven family were original
settlers in Holland, Michigan area, so they were involved in a bit of everything
from soup to nuts. Granddad Boven ran a dry goods store or a millinery
store, and I think they use to sell bolts of cloth and other sewing items, so
possibly since the Bush family were in the same business as they were in the
Midwest, we might have had contacts with them in the old days, before we lost
touch with them. CIO

I opened up a 7 ounce box of frozen Armour maple flavored beef franks, which I
put in a 10 inch skillet with three tablespoons of water on medium heat with
lid, and I cooked them for 6 minutes stirring occasionally. While
doing that I mixed in a large metal bowl with whisk three extra large eggs in a
mixing bowl with a teaspoon of olive oil, a teaspoon of Italian spices, a
tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese, and a couple of tablespoon of milk.
Once the sausages had cooked for six minutes, I removed the lid, and I let the
rest of the water evaporate, and then I added a couple of tablespoons of olive
oil, and I mixed in the egg mixture, which I scrambled around the sausages.
Once the scrambled eggs were cooked to about medium soft, I put the frying pan
on a dinner plate to warm the dinner plate, and also while cooking the eggs, I
toasted two English muffins which I put a small bit of olive oil on.
I put it all on the dinner plate, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea.

. They gave me the telephone number for the Oyster Bay, Long Island,

Key West Hotel Resorts & Florida Keys
Beach Accommodations - Casa Marina Resort Key West on their local number at
1-305-296-3535. They must not be too busy, because they were very
chatty for a change. Greenwich, Connecticut has very nice
entertainment facilities if you can afford them, but being 20 miles east of
Manhattan, we frequently have bad air quality, plus with all of the vegetation,
one can have allergy problems. Key West because it is an island has
very good air quality, and in the summer because of the Trade Winds, it
supposedly does not get too hot, but I imagine it would be humid.
Since I have not been to Key West since February 1982, when it was 25 degrees
below zero Fahrenheit in New York City, and it was very crowded down in south
Florida, I am not sure what it is like today, but they tell me it has been
improved, but they still have the risks of hurricanes
http://mikelouisscott.com/weather.htm . However, if one is homeless
down there, and one survives the hurricane season, one will probably not die
from exposure in Key West, Florida from being homeless during the winter.
Our newest resident here in Greenwich, Connecticut told me he has been homeless
up north for eight years without going to shelters, and he is from Florida and
educated at
www.mit.edu so obviously he is more
of a cold weather person these days. CIO

breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, 2 slices of toast with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and
milk. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I
showered, and I cleaned up. I went out. I went by the
Greenwich Automotive Exxon gasoline station next to the Greenwich Library, and I
bought $12 of self service premium unleaded gasoline at $3.559 a gallon for 52.9
miles driving this week at 15.7 miles per gallon at an average of 13 miles per
hour. I then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of
Greenwich Avenue and the train station, and I sat out at various locations.
I chatted with a customer coming out of the wine bar beneath the Greenwich
Financial Center. Alas, although I am part French, and I have lived
on the continent in Europe, where I enjoyed drinking my share of wine, if I
started drinking wine here in Greenwich, Connecticut

liter bottles of Rene Junot of Valbon French white table wine there for about

However, it does not show up in their catalog. Since I worked in
excellent French restaurants for about eight years, I developed a taste for
French cooking, and I use to be able to enjoy a glass of wine to relax.
I continued my walk after chatting with the wine bar patron. I
chatted with a refugee from New Orleans outside the Ginger Man restaurant.
I drove down by the waterfront, and a few fishing people were there.
I chatted with our fellow Scotsman watering the plants on Greenwich Avenue.
I then returned home. I put about 1.5 cups of baby carrots and broccoli
crowns in a plastic microwave pot such as one use to be able to buy at Wal-Mart,
and I put about an inch of water in it with lid, and I heated on one vegetable
cycle in the General Electric microwave oven, and then I put in the Rubbermaid
container with the left over rice from last night, and I heated it all on two
more vegetable cycles, and then I heated just the rice on one reheat cycle.
I drained the water out of the vegetables, and I put them in a bowl with a
little bit of olive oil. While doing that I put a couple of
tablespoons of olive oil in a six inch stick proof frying pan on the electric
burner on medium high heat, and once it was hot, I put the remaining salmon
pattie in the frying pan for about three minutes a side on medium electric heat,
flipping it about every minute. I put the salmon pattie and rice on a
dinner plate, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea. I just
heard something outside my apartment window, and it sounded like a bird hit the
window. I guess I should investigate. The

06/17/06 Saturday 3:15 P.M.:
I finished the Microsoft Vista beta 2 backup to DVD of my primary computer
system both first hard primary partitions. For the 60.9 gigabyte
backup, it took 9 DVD -r disks, which would be about which would be about 6.766
gigabytes to a DVD-r disk. I also burned another copy of the
Microsoft Vista beta 2. I split the ten DVDs in jewel cases into two
stacks of 5, and I secure each stack with two broccoli rubber bands, and I put
each stack in a zip lock sandwich bag. I then put them in my
Firesafe security box, which I keep in the usual secure location. I
had to take out some old CD/r disks to make room for the new backup.
I put them on the CD/r disks that I took out on the right bedroom hutch shelf
with other disks. I figure a good DVD backup every six months is
worth it, since it saves a lot of time, if one has to reconstruct and operating
system, which in my case if both hard drives failed, I would lose my computer
backups, so I now have fixed media backups. Thus the DVD backup cost me
$4.50 and .50 for the second Vista beta 2 copy for $5 total and the cost of the
zip lock bags and the broccoli rubber bands come with the broccoli for free.
Yesterday, I charged up the 2.5 million watt rechargeable lantern, which I never
use. I guess I could take out some night and signal Long Island from
Steamboat Road that people still live out here in the north country.
The people on Long Island tend to be a warmer weather group of people since the
weather out there runs about 10 degrees warmer in the winter than here, since it
is surrounded by water, but also there is about a 10 times higher population
density, and there tend to be some very Anglophile communities out there to.
I use to see a lot more fair haired people out there than I ever see around
here. I will now check my mail and take a break outside.

06/17/06 Saturday 11:15 A.M.:
I finished the Vista beta 2 backup of the entire primary computer system.
I could do a Vista beta 2 DVD backup, but at 60.9 gigabyte for both partitions,
it would be about 60.9 gigabytes divided by 4.7 gigabytes to a DVD disk or about
13 DVD disks that as I recall I paid about $15 for 50 DVD +r disks in April 2006
or .30 cents a DVD disk, or in other words it would cost me $3.90 cents to make
an entire system backup to DVD. I think I can afford to do that just
to be on the safe side, and I have jewel cases to put them in that cost about
.20 apiece, so 13 of them would be $2.60, but they can be reused, so to make a
complete DVD backup would cost me $6.50. However, the Vista beta 2
is a beta backup program, and I already have the primary computer hard drive
partition backed up to DVD, so I do not know if it is necessary or not.
I will have to think about it. I need to clean up some of my recent
favorites, which I forgot to do before the earlier backups. I
chatted with a relative whom finances my computer activity, and the relative is
distressed at me spending money that I really can not afford, but I think it is
important to keep up my volunteer activity, since it is cheaper to communicate
than to pay for other forms of professional help, such as lawyers and family
advisors. CIO

mentioned in the 1970s, the Dupont family had money in Europe which they did not
want to pay taxes on in the United States, so they made the Spaghetti Westerns

Thus Clint Eastwood is sort of a DuPont family employee. I also

06/15/06 Thursday 9:10 A.M.:
I woke up at 6:30 A.M. this morning when a friend called. The friend
had more memory put in his laptop computer, so it works better. One
of my many friends that actually lives in Connecticut instead of New York is
Richard Van Marter at Country Living Associates
Country Living Associates Real Estate
in Wilton, Connecticut. However, since I lived in New York
City for a number of years, and since I live right on the New York border, I
tend to have more friends in New York who always come over here and hood wink
trying to steal whatever business they think I have that is so profitable.
We get such large numbers of New Yorkers here, and even Richard is really a New
Yorker, it is hard to tell if anyone here is actually from Connecticut or not.
Everyone is afraid to go over to North Terrytown, New York where some rich
republicans live, since it is awfully hard keeping up with them. It is
worse than keeping up with the Jones. From what I can tell, some
established people from this New York area seem to be spending more time down
south, since a lot of the wealthy Old Guard seem to prefer the warmer weather
and have investments down there. Until we get a new injection of
funds into the local economy from the our southern visitors or New York
neighbors, we are left over here at Flanders Farm working on the keyboard.
All of my computer systems of various vintage, seem to be up and running just
fine. I am not sure how well the miniature 7 foot tall palm tree
will do in my apartment, since it does not get much light inside. I
think if it does not do well, they have a green house at the town green house
that might take it. Still it contributes to the atmosphere of my Key
West, Florida apartment in Greenwich, Connecticut, or what I call the Florida
embassy in Greenwich, Connecticut. However, since it is such a
complex apartment communications setup, I spend most of my time here myself,
since I do not want the communications equipment disturbed by individuals whom
may not be familiar with it. Florida people since it is a warmer
climate actually spend more time outside, particularly when it is warm.
Also when it is hot down south, a lot of them sleep all day inside in the air
conditioning and go outside in the evenings when it is cooler.
Having lived around so many Florida people and a lot of their native Hispanic
community and knowing what an old world country Spain is, I frequently feel like
the Viceroy of Spain living in the Western Hemisphere, but I only know a few
words of Spanish and a lot of English, so maybe I am the English ambassador to
the Western Hemisphere. I do not have any Spanish flags in my apartment,
but I have a couple of British Union Jacks, so more than likely when some Limeys
get hot in a few days, they might wish they had a cooler refuge from the heat.
Of course up in Kennebunkport, Maine
Kennebunkport, Maine, Scott's Internet Hotlist this time of year, it is
still cooler, so more than likely we might have visitors in this former Bush
family home town whom also live down south and whom also go further north to
Kennebunkport, Maine. Southern people since they live where the food
is produced and where it is also cheaper tend to eat better food by our
standards, but even in Florida one relative thinks I drink too much orange juice
in the morning. Of course people in a warmer climate do not need as
much body fat depending on how thin their blood is. I just ate two
scoops of butter pecan ice cream. I will now do a little bit of regular
computer and internet work. I have a 3 P.M. appointment this
afternoon.
Michael
Louis Scott Tropical Weather , there is a lot of hurricane information, but
for a look into what might happen two weeks ahead of time, I study
NRL Monterey Satellite Photos to look for any developing hurricanes over the
Atlantic. Since a lot of Florida people are high tech, but since
when they take off traveling in the hotter period down there, they may or may
not have their high tech equipment with them. Since they do
not network with me, they must have alternative sources such as the
www.ibm.com computer equipment in the Greenwich
Library on days that it is opened. I think the Stamford, Connecticut
Ferguson library also has internet access. I suppose since I run my
apartment like a limited budget research laboratory, some people are curious as

Since besides Hollywood types out west, there are suppose to be some high tech

which I let cook for about four minutes, mixing it the last minute to become

I had
breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, 2 slices of toast with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and
milk. I made my bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes.
I went outside, and they have removed the 7 foot tall miniature palm tree from
the community room that I had donated and place it outside my apartment in their
redecorating scheme. I threw out some garbage, and I chatted
with some neighbors. I place the 7 foot tall miniature palm along
side my sitting chair at the near end of the sitting area in the living room
sitting on the round drainage tray. I loosened the dirt in it, and I
put in a quart of water. I bought some Miracle Gro potting soil last
spring, but I can not seem to find it, so I must have used it on the other
plants. On the Northgate Syntax backup computer, I reinstalled XP
Professional, and then the SP2 update, and then I installed the Syntax
motherboard drivers along with the USB 2.0 drivers, and when I tried restoring
my ASR backup from the Maxtor external hard drive, it took less time with USB
2.0 about 45 minutes, and after I restored the backup, I rebooted, and it
rebooted and worked just fine without any problems. I installed the
Kingsington wireless mouse and keyboard drivers. I installed a
second LAN cable on the onboard LAN, so it has too LAN cables.
Technically it could be used for a backup server, it I updated the copy of its
server files. It is working just fine, and I ran Norton Win Doctor
2003 and did a system restore backup, and then I shut it down. I
have the XP updates set to prompt me before downloading and installing.

I can not get the Northgate Syntax backup computer to boot with the restored
backup. I will leave it as is for now, and after I get some rest
today, I will work on it later on. Technically it should work, and it did
not prompt me for files this time when I restored the backup. All I
can figure out is that it is a hardware conflict possibly with the onboard
video. Later on today, I could try sticking in a PCI card to see if
it boots with that. That is all that I can think of. I
will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed. I am
a bit tired. At the moment, I would rather not waste my time having
to reconfigure it all over again. It seems strange that computers
have problems, when I hardly use them, and I just use them for backup.
Whatever, the case a certain group of investigators are not amused.
Possibly it is something else that I have not thought up, since I am quite
tired. Each system has its own peculiar features. I
could give up on trying to configure it, which is not worth it unless I can have
a workable backup of it, and I could just leave a plain XP installation on it,
or I could configure it with Linux for the local group of IBM nut cases.

06/14/06 Wednesday 9:55 A.M.:
I went outside after the last message. I emptied the two outside
ashtrays. I am still trying to get the Northgate Syntax backup
computer restored. The first time during the restore, I was
prompted to reinstall certain system files, which I did not do, and the system
did not work when I rebooted. This time I will reinstall the system
files when prompted. Using the restore from an ASR backup does not always
restore the files, since certain files can not be overwritten on an existing
system. There might be a USB driver for the F6 prompt doing an ASR
restore, but I can not find it. Since XP installs USB drivers, and
since XP recognizes the external USB hard drive during installation it seems
peculiar it does not recognize the USB hard drive after reboot when prompting
for the ASR media. It might be a peculiarity of the older Northgate
Syntax system. I know there is not a DOS USB option on the Northgate
Syntax motherboard bios, which my two newer systems have enabled. That
might be the missing feature. It will take another 1.5 hours to do
the restore since it is a slower system. I am getting tried, but I
will try to stay up until after the restore is completed to see if the Northgate
Syntax system boots properly. This is what I call "Mickey Mouse"
maintenance. It is sort of like maintaining 20 year old Mercedes
years ago, because that is all we could afford. Thus from my
viewpoint locally on this side of town, we are light years behind the mainstream
community which claim they are more high tech because they have more modern
devices. However, the Northgate Syntax computer is only a three year
old system, and if I put more memory in it when I can afford it, it would run a
lot faster. It currently has 256 megs of 233 MHz memory, and I could take
the other 512 megs of 233 MHz memory out of the server, and put in the Northgate
System, and I could put two 512 meg 400 MHz or 3200 memory chips in the server.
This is about the cheapest deal on memory that I can find

$84, and I think for $83 this is available today only
Kingston ValueRAM 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Dual Channel Kit System

for it will only get cheaper. CIO

06/14/06 Wednesday 5:50 A.M.:
The Northgate Syntax backup computer started acting a little buggy when I
installed the updates yesterday evening, so I am now restoring the Maxtor
external hard drive backup of it. XP does not recognize the USB
external hard drive on a ASR install, so one has to do a complete install to get
XP and plug and play and the USB external hard drive working before one does the
ASR restore. However, on my primary computer and the server the ASR
option with the external USB hard drive works, so I guess the older Northgate
Syntax computer does not have some of the advanced USB features to do it more
quickly. As I have said many times before, I do more systems
maintenance than actually using the computers. It is like
maintaining a garage full used cars. However, with my arthritis I
would not want to be maintaining used cars, so the used computers are easier on
my arthritis, but they are harder on the eyes. The fellow I chatted
with this past evening looked like Jimmy Eldert who also lives where he once
lived, so since Jimmy looked a bit like me, maybe the fellow I chatted with whom
looks thin like I did when I first returned to Greenwich from traveling might
also possibly be a distant relative. He has that same Flemish look

They do not pay people for reading the news off computers. Generally
the news does not tell people how to make money, since other people would start
making money off the tips, and it would be less profitable.
Basically one needs a commodity to sell at a profit that people are willing to

they know what to pay for them at a fair market price. CIO

if he decides to stay here, he will more than likely be useful in the community.

I chatted briefly about my back ground in computers. I next

It is suppose to hotter around here at the beginning of next week, so be sure
your air conditioners work. I will now shut down the primary

With the higher prices of fuel around here, it is really not too busy downtown,
since many of the people from the neighboring areas are not showing up.

a minute. Since one of their main activities is thousands of
different charities, they will probably want you to donate to some charity of
your choosing world wide. However, I have always believed charity
begins at home. Since they have a bigger budget than I do it,
I suppose if they needed to chat with me about the weather, they could afford to
call me up. Since they obviously have an extensive network here in
America, and since they have visited here and worldwide, more than likely their
viewpoint is more worldly. However, Scottish pragmatism tends
to be universal. I read recently that the United Kingdom imports 86%
off all the items and goods that its consumes, so they are very dependent on the
import businesses that bring all of the goods and import items into their
country. Thus they must be quite organized in the managing and
distribution of those items, and more than likely they buy them cheapest at
their source. However, from what I can tell, it is suppose to
be more expensive over there, so when they come here, they find it less
expensive. Since I try to be an Anglophile Dutch United States
citizen from the Midwest, my viewpoint is frequently different from my
neighbors. You have to admit after 5 million words, I have made an
attempt to communicate and sort out internet information, but I suppose since I
sit almost on top of the Trans Atlantic telephone cable, the internet from
overseas works faster for me than for others on either end of the line at more
remote locations. It is important to keep up good communications,
since the penny press does not cover lesser individuals and lesser events.
I also have relatives whom have lived overseas like myself along with relatives
whom travel, so the internet gives them an insight into my sedentary way of life
here in the suburbs of Manhattan. We are not an academic community,
but a great many of our local citizens are well educated and well traveled.
From what I can tell, the local population from the west coast is still trying
to figure out why we are not overwhelmed by their media, but I suppose after
having read so much over the years, I think I have heard it all before.
Although they might try to be Politically Correct, that does not always help pay
the bills. In other words, I am doing better on my meager
stipend here than trying to deal with the diverse viewpoints of nearby Manhattan
which usually reflect other nearby suburbs where other people have slightly
different viewpoints. Having been on the internet for many years
looking at the British Press frequently, it is my viewpoint that the British
Royal family work quite hard at their family firm, and their people appreciate
their efforts on their behalf, despite the fact that the American press does not
cover them very much, since we are a democracy here, and most people frown on
monarchies. Whatever the case I live here, but I do keep
communications open. Since I am not a church going Church of
England attendee, I am probably out of touch with our local anglophile group
where ever they are having tea. CIO

I boiled three quarts of water
with a teaspoon of olive oil and a dash of sea salt. I then
boiled for 10 minutes a 16 ounce package of Ronzoni #9 thin spaghetti noodles.
I then drained the water with a colander into another pot, and I threw the hot
water down the bathroom sink to clean out my shaving soap scum. During the
last five minutes of the boiling, I mixed the contents of a 26 ounce jar of
Barilla Puttanesca green and black olive tomato sauce in a large measuring
cup with the contents including liquid of a 6.5 ounce can of Snow's chopped
clams, and I reheated half of the clam sauce in a microwave proof plastic pot
with lid in the General Electric microwave oven on the reheat cycle twice.
I put half of the cooked spaghetti noodles in a flat Rubbermaid container in the
refrigerator, and the other half I put on a dinner plate with the heated clam
tomato sauce and a few of tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese. I
ate it all with a glass of iced tea. I put the remaining clam sauce back
in the jar in the refrigerator. I went outside, and I threw out some
garbage. I noticed the outer front sliding door was opening and
closing repeatedly, so I turned it off from the inside upper left corner with it
opened. I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will clean

mouse CD on top of the CD rack in the bedroom in a jewel case. CIO

The Microsoft keyboard and mouse set arrived shortly after the last message.
I have it all setup on the primary computer in both the XP and the Vista beta 2
partitions. One has to use an older keyboard and mouse to boot the
systems and first install the Microsoft mouse and keyboard software before
connecting the new devices after shutdown and then connect and then reboot.
I have the Logitech Wireless optical mouse and wireless keyboard connected up to
the server with its drivers and software, so the server now has the keyboard
encryption feature. However, the Microsoft keyboard and mouse are
suppose to have better wireless connectivity with over 64,000 channels, so one
does not get interference. I put the Logitech wireless headset back
on top of the primary computer CPU. I also put the Microsoft base
unit on the coffee table next to the power strip below and between the two
monitors, so it is at least 8 inches from the monitors and CPU. It
has a six foot range. I connected the Kensington wireless mouse and
keyboard to the Northgate Syntax backup computer. I connected the
Logitech cordless mouse to the Dell L1000R computer in the bedroom.
I connected the Emachines internet keyboard to the Dell V350 computer in the
bedroom. I installed some updates on the backup computers.
Thus all systems are go. The new Microsoft laser mouse has a
magnifying features where one can magnify sections of web pages or desktop
programs with the laser mouse. I left the instructions on the file
stand on the dining table, and the Microsoft box and shipping box are on the
back of the down sofa, and I will store in the bedroom later on. Justdeals
provides a 30 day warranty on the Microsoft kit, but I assume Microsoft also
provides a longer warranty, since it is new item, and not refurbished. I
connected the laser mouse to my USB 2.0 four port device, which I had to place
beneath the keyboard, since the wires to the base unit split only about a foot
apart between the keyboard plug and the mouse USB plug. CIO

benefits and the food is suppose to be good. Alas at age 56, they
would not want me, but I use to drink a bit of wine in France, and for all I
know I am already part of the French Foreign Legion, they just do not feel like
paying me for living in Greenwich, Connecticut as opposed to working in
Manhattan, which would be much more difficult. Of course I use to
occasionally drink a bit of alcohol in Illinois, so possibly I am part of some
sort of military group from Illinois. I did originally leave
Illinois after college with a United States Army captain, but my recommendation
at college
www.lfc.edu was to Franklin
Roosevelt's secretary of the Air Force, however I left Illinois another time
after college with the grandson of the last living member of Queen Victoria's
Honor Guard, so maybe I work for Queen Victoria and whatever group of friends
she has left. If I was allowed to sit around the Queen Mum of England back
in 1972 enjoying Scotch whisky and Benson and Hedges cigarettes up in Canada, at
one time through my friend George Cary, I had some sort of connection, but
living down here in the States around all of the Irish, I do not think they
really trust me too much, since the politics constantly change in America.
Most of my immediate contacts for the last 30 years have had contacts with the
United States State department, but as far as I know other than SSI disability
assistance, I have not received any other financial reimbursements from the
United States Government, thus at my age, it is all Water Over the Dam.

In terms of Irish families in America with money either the Mellons or the Fords
would be the wealthiest Irish families, and like all wealthy families, they tend
to be above the politics of the day. I even have a book in my
apartment written by a fellow named Carlson during World War II which claims the
Rockefellers were part of the American Nazi party, which is highly unlikely
since they were heavily invested here and not in Germany. However,
in a country with free speech and freedom of the press anyone can write and
publish anything, and like in England, they will end up spending their last
money on Fish and Chips reading the press off the morning paper their fish and
chips are packaged in. The most powerful political group in
the United States of America from my Lake Forest College

group that Eisenhower once mentioned called the "Military Industrial Complex"

Thus since I left Lake Forest College in 1972, and since I have had a hard time
getting a high paying job ever since I left college, I must have run up against
the same group called the Military Industrial Complex, which did not like my
point of view as an economist, since it was not good for business.
It is like the same theory as the Swiss Bergermeisters whom control all the
different various cartels in the various businesses around the world.
Of course on a night schedule most of these years in the New York area, about
the only way to make money is like the Kennedys is to try and sell liquor to the

Well Fred Von Mierers
http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm worked with Taylor Sterling from Mayfair
Lane out here in the boon docks in Greenwich, Connecticut, and Taylor also kept
an office off East 54th street between Third Avenue and Madison Avenue while
Fred ended up living at East 54th street east of First Avenue in the building
that ran from 54th street to 55th street. Billy Baldwin was training
Fred to take over his business, and Billy's and Fred's clients included Nelson
and Barbara Rockefeller along with Paul and Bunny Mellon and I think their
daughter. Fred also showed me the Florist shop on First Avenue
between 50th and 51st street on the East side of First Avenue where one of the
Mellon heirs ran it to give himself something to do in the nearby Beekman Place
neighborhood. I use to have breakfast at First Avenue and 50th street on
the northeast corner at the Greek coffee shop, and I would read the New York
Times, before I started a rather busy day. As I recall, breakfast
was about $2.50 for ham and eggs over easy with hash browns and toast and coffee
and a 50 cent tip along with the cost of the New York Times which was about 35
cents. I would take a casual afternoon walk after breakfast in
the Beekman Place neighborhood, and if I felt adventurous, I would walk over to
the busier area near Third Avenue or as Fred called it "Queen's Boulevard".
I liked walking by Abby Rockefeller's house on East 52nd street between 2nd and
3rd Avenue, since that street was not too busy. Generally
Fifth Avenue seemed too busy, so I would limit my walks as far west as Park
Avenue around the Waldorf Astoria, where I told everyone my office was one of
the pay phones in their lobby. Also one could go to the bathroom at
the Waldorf Astoria for about a dollar tip, and they would brush off one's coat.
Billy Baldwin as I recall lived on East 59th Street between Third Avenue and
Lexington Avenue. However, although I saw him a number times, I do
not recall actually meeting him. They were also my neighbors in
Nantucket. Helen Williams lived at the southeast corner of Madison
Avenue and 68th street, and since she would drive Fred out to Oyster Bay, Long
Island in her 1958 Earl Scheib copper color paint job Chevrolet station, which
she kept in the garage at the southwest corner of 68th street and Lexington
Avenue with an entrance off Lexington Avenue. Of course the only
destination uptown was usually the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which in those
days, if you did not have much money was usually free, if you told them you were
a member of the "Art Student's League" which had a building on West 57th street
around 6th Avenue near Carnegie Hall. Since there are a lot of art
galleries in that area, since Manhattan people with nothing else to do seem to
like to run art galleries, it was always an enjoyable walk up Madison Avenue
looking at the gallery windows. I occasionally went to the Whitney or the
Frick, but it did not take to much time to go through them, and I only recall
going to the Modern Art Museum on East 54th street twice, since they wanted me
to pay to get into the place, where the Metropolitan Museum always let me in for
free, but I had to walk around a lot in a Brooks Brother's suit observing the
art and the patrons and whatever else goes on there. The
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York:
metmuseum.org has a good cafeteria with reasonable prices, and when I lived
on the west side of Manhattan, the last time I lived there, it was an enjoyable
walk through the park to get there. However, they never seem to have
noticed that I have quit showing up there regularly, and I only recall being
there about three times in the last 24 years, but it has not changed much.
I recall Fred and his friend use to go to lots of parties at the Met, but by the
time I left Manhattan after about 10 years, I had holes in my shoes, but I had
seen a lot. Another friend of mine with a florist shop near the Met
supplied the center piece flowers weekly at the entrance donated by the Wallace
family of
www.rd.com which also had one of their
executives donate the Cole auditorium at the Greenwich Library. Also
in my regular rounds of that area, every day when I was in Manhattan, I usually
walked by Richard Nixon's townhouse on East 65th street between Third Avenue and
Lexington Avenue nearby the Russian consulate, and the Colony Club. The
Met is a good place to take a walk on a cold or rainy day in Manhattan, if one
is able to make it there. Since there are a lot of visitors
there from abroad, it is frequently a good place for people watching too.
I also noticed the Europeans were never too interested in the European
collections, since they had seen so much art like it back in their home
countries. CIO

My guest called about 2:30 P.M., and when they arrived at 4 P.M., they called me
from downtown. I met one of them at the Greenwich Library, and I toured
the guest around the Greenwich Library. We then walked over to J.
Crew, and we met up with the other guest. We went by Hoaglands, and
one of the guests got a wedding gift. We went by Brooks Brother's,
and they have a sale on, and one of the guests checked out khaki pants. We
then walked down Greenwich Avenue as far as Starbucks, and we cut through the
Greenwich Common, and we walked back to the Greenwich Library to retrieve our
cars. I showed the guests a downtown rental property, and I said
goodbye. I had not seen them in about 14 months since last
Easter. I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road, and
the Roger Sherman Baldwin park was filling up for the concert.
I then returned home.
I took a metal mixing bowl, and I broke three large eggs in it, and I added a
couple of tablespoons of milk, 1/4 teaspoon of Italian spices, a teaspoon of
olive oil, and a tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese. I whisked it
all together with a whisk. I then put a few tablespoons of
olive oil in a 10 inch stick proof frying pan, and I heated it over medium high
electric heat burner on the stove. Once the olive oil was heated, I put in
the 10 sausage links from a frozen 8 ounce package of Jone's
Welcome to Jones Dairy Farm! spicy
breakfast sausages, and I heated them for five minutes, moving the pan
frequently to rotate the sausages. I then added the egg mixture,
which I let cook for about four minutes, mixing it the last minute to become
scrambled eggs with cooked breakfast sausages. When I put the egg
mixture in, I started toasting two pieces of bread. Once the scrambled
eggs and sausages were cooked, I put the frying pan on the dinner plate to warm
it a bit, and I then slid the eggs and sausages on the dinner plate, and I put
some olive oil on the two pieces of toast, and I cut them in half on the
diagonal, and I put them on the dinner plate, and I ate it all with a glass of
iced tea.

of my long forgotten friends whom seem to think I am pushing up tulips in
Potter's Field in Manhattan. From my travels in the old days when
computers were not very popular, I knew quite a few other skilled crafts people,
and some people can not believe I use so much of my time on computers with so
little reward, but I believe good communications when used realistically helps
generate a more peaceful planet and the world gets smaller. Since we
live in one of the more isolated parts of the planets, we try to be hospitable,
since compared to the planets overall population, we actually do not get that
many visitors. We are sort of like lighthouse keepers in Greenland
waiting for a passing ship to see if it will stop by or pass us by.
I am told that I would enjoy visiting Iceland, since they are one of the World's
most literate populations, but I do not know any of their language, so I might
misread a street sign and fall into a volcano. I think some of the local
people here think I am from Iceland, so when they local people hear the rumor
that we are about to be invaded, they are quite amused. Not really
that many people bother to travel to Iceland, which only made history when
Reagan and Gorbachev held their summit there. It is the nature of
living around the dreary north Atlantic coast, we do not get many visitors,
since most people seem to enjoy visiting warmer destinations. My
relatives down south have been down there for so long, they seem to think I am
some sort of a nut case, since they have forgotten what life is like in the
north country where life tends to be more of a struggle against the elements.
Of course living here on the four seasons basis, I have friends from further
north that frequently touch base in this town, since it is friendly to travelers
from around the world. I suppose the only thing the Thataway Cafe on
Greenwich Avenue is missing is a "Cooks Travel" sign. Of course
Nantucket was much the same way. Once one has lived down south, it
begins to make more sense, when you see how people live at the other end of the
road. I can assure you some people in Florida actually do have
homes, and they are not homeless drifters waiting for the next bus out of town.
Supposedly with the large number of retired people in Florida, it has the
largest numbers of millionaires of any state in the nation. However,
it is the nature of older people they tend to down size, and they lead simpler
lives, since a great many people like to travel in their retirement.

06/08/06 Thursday 12:30 A.M.:
I went out after the last message. I went by the Greenwich Library,
and I read the
Economist.com magazine,
apparently they think India is very wealthy. If that is the case, we
should cut back on our foreign aid and charity projects. I went downtown,
and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue, but I skipped the Greenwich
Train station area, since it was a bit cool and damp. I stopped by
Zyn stationary, and I told them about the Economist magazine article.
I stopped by CVS, and I bought a 1 liter bottle of CVS Professional Oral Rinse
alcohol free mouth wash for $2.99 and .18 tax for $3.17. Yes there
is a 6% sales tax on many items in Connecticut. It pays for a lot of
the activity that the state of Connecticut does, which in this area being so
close to New York City is very expensive. I completed my walk.
I then drove down by the waterfront. I then stopped by the
COSI sandwich bar at the Stop and Shop
shopping plaza, and it smells very good. I chatted with them about
coffee, and I explained when I helped Fred Von Mierers
http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm
run his apartment at 420 East 49th Street near Beekman Place up until April
1975, he use to send me down regularly to Christopher Street in Manhattan's West
Greenwich Village to
McNulty's Tea & Coffee
Company near Bedford Street to get Viennese blend coffee which he made with
a Danish coffee press and using raw sugar or honey and cream, and in the morning
he served it with fresh croissants from the Bakery on the southeast corner of
49th street and Second Avenue, which always had fresh croissants flown in on the
Concorde via Air France every day from Paris, France, so it was sort of an
upscale existence to the more pedestrian life here around Greenwich,
Connecticut. Back then Viennese blend coffee at McNulty's cost about $7.50
a pound, so it is very expensive coffee. I then went to the Stop and Shop,
and I bought for half price two 10 ounce Emerald Cashew Halves and Pieces from
California for $4.28 both. I then returned home.
I cut the last three 3/8th inch thick slices of the cold eye round, and I put
Gold's horseradish and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce on them.
I put about a cup and a half of baby carrots and broccoli crowns in a plastic
microwave proof pot with an inch of water, and I ran it on one vegetable cycle,
and then I put the Rubbermaid container with the remaining rice from last night,
and I ran it on two more vegetable cycles, and then I removed the vegetables,
and I drained them, and I put them in a bowl with a little bit of olive oil, and
I ran the rice on one reheat cycle, and I put it on the dinner plate with the
meat. I ate it all with a glass of iced tea. I drank a
cup of 50% regular and 50% decaf coffee. I will now go through my email.

06/07/06 Wednesday 5:45 P.M.:
My original connection with British Banking as far as I can recall besides
living in Greenwich, Connecticut and Manhattan for many years was back in
January 1978. I had been working for a couple of months at La Vielle
Maison in Boca Raton, Florida French restaurant as a dishwasher washing the
expensive French crystal and plates and eating the expensive food that was
always returned by the skinny woman customers at $200 Prix Fixed a meal.
I thus put on a bit of weight, and spend all day at the beach before work, and
sleeping out at the north side of the Boca inlet, I probably looked more like
Tarzan. I had always wanted to try to get a job on a sailboat, and I
was not having much luck around Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale, so about the
second week of January with my $2.15 an hour pay check from Le Vielle Masion, I
bought a ticket from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the Bahamas. I checked my
hand made back pack that I made in Nantucket at the Nassau airport, and I
carried what I called a ditty bag out from the airport to walk to town.
A local Bahamas taxi cab driver gave me a free ride into town, and I saw a lot
of the villas along the airport road. In downtown Nassau, I walked
the whole length of the main street, and I found a Royal Bank of Nova Scotia
bank, and I opened up a bank account with my $50 Christmas check from my grandma
Scott in Champaign, Illinois, but they said it would take a while to clear.
I then walked the entire length of the main street again including the straw
market and nobody had moved from when I passed them an hour or two before, so I
guess nobody is in a rush in the Bahamas. I ran into a local
Bahamian that had me over to his house overlooking Paradise Island, and I smoked
a Bahamian cigarette. He told me about Paradise Island, and he said I
should be staying there with the white people, so he drove me over the bridge to
Paradise Island, and he dropped me off there around sunset. I found
a nice cloister, so I decided to camp out there, but I was not tired, so I
started wandering around. I ran into a British fellow named Richard
Mercy from Eaton Square, London, England, and we chatted on that the beach that
night, and I went back and slept in the cloister. The next day I
spent at the beach and around sunset Richard Mercy showed up again.
He was very pale, and he did not seem to have ever been out in the sun.
He showed me around some of the sites around the beach area including a solar
powered electricity generating system. I leant him my Adidas country
sneakers since he was not wearing shoes, and the small pine cones on the beach
were hurting his feet. He seemed to be a very fragile British type
of aristocrat unlike myself. He invited me to stay in his small
cottage at Paradise Island with his friend named Romsey from England also.
Richard, and I cleaned up, and we went to dinner at the Casino with a local
Paradise Island stretch Cadillac limousine, and on the way, they picked up
another person that looked like the Shah of Iran's wife with here body guard
whom was smoking a cigar. I was wearing khaki pants and a red
flannel shirt which was my dress up clothes, and Richard was wearing black wool
trousers and a silk shirt. All of the thousands of people in the
Casino were wearing black tie and very formal dress. We had a
vegetarian dinner at the Casino restaurant since he was a vegetarian, and he
told me he did not approve of gambling although we were in a Casino.
I did not have any money, thus we did not gamble. I stayed another
day with them at Paradise Island, and as I recall it was quite humid, and the
air conditioning in the cottage did not work well. Mercy and Romsey
had to return to London, England, and I noticed there were six British Airways
747s at the Nassau airport, so there were quite a few people there.
I walked back into Nassau across the bridge, and I ate at McDonalds in Nassau,
and I was told it is hard to get a job on sailboat in Nassau, unless someone
knows somebody. I walked back out to the airport, and I still had my
return ticket to Fort Lauderdale, and $3 exit tax, so I picked up my back pack,
and I flew back to Fort Lauderdale. Richard Mercy had given me his
address as Richard Mercy, 21 Eaton Square, London, England, and he later wrote
me down at General Delivery in Key West, Florida. When I was mugged
in Manhattan by somebody from Bermuda 14 years ago on a Fourth of July evening,
I was told by the mugger from Bermuda that Richard Mercy was a banker in London,
so maybe he had other friends. I ditched Richard Mercy's address a
couple of years later after my trip to the Bahamas in Santa Cruz, California in
a dumpster, when I was worried about Irish Terrorists out in California.

know some wealthy people, and the reason you never see them is that they are
quite large from eating too much all the time, since they can afford it despite

if they eat too much. From what I know the Hollywood types are up

Hollywood. From what I know about medicine in America, the American

I chatted with three relatives and a out of town security organization.
From my viewpoint, life is pretty much normal here in Greenwich, Connecticut if
one does not watch too much television or read scary news stories.
Since I live on the low end of the economic ladder, and since I mostly do my own
maintenance, I do not have the larger picture which usually seems to revolve
around Wall Street. Since Greenwich, Connecticut is suppose to be a
wealthy town by U.S.A. standards, most people focus on Wall Street and those
items that wealth can buy or produce. Since I have only been in
Manhattan twice in the last 14 years, I do not have the Manhattan viewpoint, but
I see many New York residents out here. From my viewpoint in the
energy business, before my father Louis Dale Scott retired and died, he was the
project manager for a British Company King Wilkinson which had him build the
world's largest oil refinery in Kaduna, Nigeria. However, I
personally have never been in Africa, although I have an older half sister by my
father's first marriage who has a PHD in Nursing administration and worked for
many years in the World Health Organization in Africa in quite a few locations,
but mostly in Kenya. From my viewpoint, living around the New York
medical community helps deal with some of the cases that might show up here.
Since medical personnel are frequently more valuable than celebrities, they
usually keep her in a secure location. From what I know about the
oil from the refinery in Kaduna, Nigeria it either goes to Royal Dutch Shell or
Mobil, but according to the news stories, there has been trouble with the
operation over there. From my local perspective, there is as much
traffic on our local highway as there ever was, and locally since Greenwich,
Connecticut is a wealthy town, there is still as much traffic in the downtown
area as there ever was. However, since the last company that my
father worked for in the Greenwich, Connecticut area was TeePak owned by
Continental Can, he built a few manufacturing facilities for them.
However, before that he worked for Combustion Engineering which today is
http://www.abb.com/ a Swedish Swiss
engineering firm, so I keep the Swedish and the Swiss flags prominently
displayed in my apartment at the apartment entrance, along with the other non
neutral flags that are harder to see in case any hostile forces show up.
When the people from down south return every summer to their summer residents,
it is always like we are being invaded until they settle into their summer
routines. In other words if the Russian military is invading, I know
people whom speak Russian whom can translate for them, since having worked in
Manhattan, I have met and dealt with a lot of people from around the globe.
Since I speak English, I mostly focus on people whom speak or seem to know
English, but with all of the older people in this area, a lot of them are
probably hard of hearing, so they do not know what you are saying. CIO

longer conduct the program. On Merapi
http://mikelouisscott.com/merapi.htm and
CNN.com - 11,000 flee Indonesia's Mount Merapi volcano - Jun 6, 2006 .
Basically I do not know that much about volcanology, I just read other people's
reports and news stories. From what I do know if Merapi had an
eruption like Mount St. Helens
Welcome to The Mount St. Helens Institute —
Mount St. Helens Institute , there would be colder winters afterwards, and
up north that would mean higher fuel bills with the higher price of energy.
However, with cooler temperatures worldwide, it probably also would mean less
hurricane activity down south. From what I can tell Merapi is just
putting out smoke that relieves pressure, and prevents it from exploding.
I am sure it is not comforting for the local people in Java, but if it builds up
pressure and explodes like Mount St. Helens did in May 1980 putting up a lot of
ash in the upper atmosphere, it would mean cooler temperatures worldwide.
Since Merapi is the most active volcano in the most active volcanic region
around Java, Indonesia, it is closely monitored and there is a lot of expertise
focused on it. However, some of the reports are in Dutch, and I do
not read Dutch. Quite frankly with all of the problems with hackers and
systems maintenance this year, I have not had enough time to do a lot of my
regular internet work. I also have to maintain my household
environment, and I do enjoy going downtown occasionally when the weather is
nice. However, with arthritis and possibly rain tomorrow

the bike lock holder on the post beneath the sliding seat adjuster, so the seat
can go all the way down. However, if the seat is all the way down, one has
to raise it to remove the lock, however for my use I keep the seat higher, so
one can easily remove the bike lock. The bike lock came with three
keys, and one of the keys has a light. I put the bike lock key with
light on the same key ring with the Master Lock key inserted in the bike lock.
I am using a heavy steel chain and Master lock to keep the seat assembly secured

one would inserted it through the center of the frame and the front wheel spokes
and around or through some unmovable object. However, usually when I
ride a bike I do not park it. However, it is now set up for security
parking. I also put one bike lock key on my regular key chain which
also has a Master lock key. I left the third bike lock key on the

Bank of New York on Mason Street. I then went by the Greenwich
Hardware store, and I bought a 12.8 volt non threaded half inch base .75 inch
diameter interior car light and a 3/8ths inch base half inch diameter 12.8 volt
interior car light bulb for a dollar each for $2 total. They are the
bulbs with the brass bases with two pins on either side for holding the bulbs in
position. I then went to my 4 P.M. appointment. I then
returned home, and I said hello to a neighbor. I put the large bulb
in my front bike light and it is quite a bit brighter than the one that came
with the front bike light. The rear light has threads, so I have to
get another spare bulb for it. I will keep the other spare bulb for
spare parts. I ate a couple of handfuls of dry roasted peanuts
and a 1/6th inch piece of pineapple cheese cake with some iced tea.

12 miles per hour. I then stopped by CVS to see if they have any
halogen or kryptonite type flash light bulbs that would fit in the lens of my
bike front light which currently uses a 12 volt 6 watt type lantern bulb.
They have halogen bulbs, but not the type with the right fitting.
I then walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.
I chatted with another regular bike rider. I chatted with a

I took some bike tools and a bottle of Sears air conditioning lubricating oil
that I had refilled with regular motor oil outside along with the Mongoose
mountain bike. The Sears air conditioning oil bottle holds about 6
ounces of oil, and it has a long narrow tube which is good for oiling a bicycle.
I oiled the chain, derailleur wheels, derailleurs, brake calipers, and the brake
levers which one is suppose to do weekly, and the free wheel every six months.
One is suppose to use lithium based grease monthly for the shift levers, and
every six months the brake cables disassembled, and yearly bottom bracket,
pedals, derailleur cables, wheel bearings, headset, and seat pillar all
disassembled. I took it for a test ride a few times around the
parking lot circle, and I went through the gears. There are three
pedal primary gears and seven rear wheel secondary gears for 21 gears total.
Both front and rear lights work fine, when the dynamo is engaged.
However, the front light is only bright, when one is going faster. I
adjusted the seat to my height. Thus the

Since one can lose items out of their pocket when riding a bike, I have a couple
of bike back packs that I can wear while riding the bike. Despite
the traffic problems, there is the other problem as to whether I am fit enough
to ride it on the mildly hilly terrain in this area. At least they will
get a chance to see me at night before they might hit me. I brought the
bike and tools back upstairs. I ran Norton Speed Disk on the primary
and server computers while I was working on the bike. I cut three
3/8th inch thick slices of the cold eye round, and I put Gold's horseradish and
Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce on them. I put about a cup and
a half of baby carrots and broccoli crowns in a plastic microwave proof pot with
an inch of water, and I ran it on one vegetable cycle, and then I put the
Rubbermaid container with the remaining rice from last night, and I ran it on
two more vegetable cycles, and then I removed the vegetables, and I drained
them, and I put them in a bowl with a little bit of olive oil, and I ran the
rice on one reheat cycle, and I put it on the dinner plate with the meat.
I ate it all with a glass of iced tea. I will not shower, and I will
clean up, and I will go out for a drive downtown. I guess I will
take a walk in the light rain with an umbrella, which with the British around
should not be any problem. I will ran Norton Antivirus 2005 on

I ate a 9.25 ounce can of CVS bits and pieces cashew nuts with some iced tea.
I watched some of the local digital television programming. It is
probably more worthwhile to read a book, but I like to monitor the news.
I noticed today, when I drove down by the waterfront that the Delamar Hotel was
flying both the British Union Jack and the Canadian Maple Leaf flags, so they
probably have some people there that speak English. Since my
apartment is more upscale despite the fact it is not on the waterfront, I am
perfectly comfortable in my present environment. The waterfront is
just a small part of Greenwich, Connecticut, and there are a lot more
comfortable places in back country further away from the waterfront, if one has
the funds to buy expensive real estate
Greenwich, Connecticut USA, Real
Estate . However, most people in the English Speaking community
prefer to keep their homes in the more established Anglophile communities they
come from, so they use our temporary lodgings without investing in the local New
York Metropolitan area. Since I have never been in England, I only
know what I have read and seen in video productions. I suppose it is
somewhat enjoyable to be around a lot of people whom mostly speak English, so
one never has to constantly explain oneself. Whatever the case, most
people whom I know that speak English are not interested in history, and they
are more interested in the here and now. Whenever I try to
strike up conversations with the local English speaking community in this area,
most everyone seems to be somewhat evasive, as if they were trying to cover up
something. I think since Greenwich seems to have some people with
upper level incomes whom enjoy entertainment, they also enjoy various alcoholic
beverages in their off time, so on weekends they frequently have a different
focus than during their work a day work weeks. However, once one
occupies a home in the suburbs, one is frequently busy with the activities of
maintaining the home not to mention supporting its maintenance costs, so whether
there is much entertainment going on or not is opened to question. A
great many people entertain away from their homes, so they do not have the
preset order of their homes disturbed, which is the more European way of
entertaining. From what I can tell, if I talk about Wall Street
which I do not know anything about people listen, but if I talk about computers
and related technology, people quickly tune me out. Thus although
most people use the technology in this area today, they are not really concerned
with the more technological aspects of it. In other words, they do
not enjoy people talking about technology around here, and most people since
they have large investments in their real estate dwell on the various related
topics as they are related to their real estate. In other words,
people here are more likely to talk about invisible dog electronic fences as
opposed to computer problems on the internet. CIO

the Farberware convection oven for 41 minutes at 325 degrees

I bought for $7.50 a small Queen Anne style mahogany telephone table.
I then went by the Arnold bread outlet, and I bought a loaf of Arnold whole
wheat dark German bread for $1.59 and a Entenmann's pineapple cheese cake for $2
for $3.59 total. I then returned home. I washed the
breakfast dishes, and I made my bed. I threw out the garbage and the
old newspapers. I watered the plants, and I filled the white vinegar
scent dish on the window ledge in the living room. I put both bikes
behind the down sofa, so the sofa area is now open to sit at. I
moved the telephone chair in a bit, so the bikes do not block the walk area as
much. I used one of the Cape Code 4 Point 14 inch to 18 inch plate hangers
to hang my Coca Cola tray with a OOK hook above the right side of the bedroom
door. I will hang the one that I bought on the left side of
the bedroom door. I will return the two 18 inch to 24 inch
plate hangers to the Greenwich Hardware store, when I have the time. The
small old print of a canal scene, I hung above the mirror above the dining table
between the two sconces. I replace one of the bulbs in the right scone.
I then installed the bike lighting system on the Mongoose bike. It
works just fine. One leaves it out of position for day time riding, and
one releases it to run the dynamo for night time riding. I put the front
lens on the front above the reflector, and I put the rear red light on the rear
lower left side by the dynamo. When the dynamo is released, it does not
line up flush with the side of the rear wheel, but it seems to work fine enough.
The Mongoose mountain bike does not have fenders, so there are not that many
easy ways to attach the dynamo, but it still should work. I secured the
dynamo bike light wires with the old type of yellow plastic garbage tag tabs
that I had saved that have notches for tightening. I still need to
lubricate the Mongoose bike outside on a sunny day, whenever we get one. I
used my tire gauge, and the tire pressure indicator is off on the Slaymaker jump
start system, so I filled each Mongoose tire to about 57 PSI according to the
tire gauge. I polished the small Queen Anne style telephone table, and I
put it in the bathroom beneath the towel rack across from the bathroom, so one
can place items there in front of the toilet. I chatted with a
relative whom is traveling. I chatted with some neighbors. I
cancelled my bid on the bike lighting system from Independence, Missouri.
I also put $15 on my MacGray laundry card, so I have $19.35 total on the laundry
card. Pictures

I opened a 19 ounce can of Hormel Steakhouse stew, and I put it in a plastic
microwave pot with lid, and I microwaved it on two reheat cycles, and then I put
it in a bowl, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea. I made a Bios floppy
disk with Amiflash for the Mastonic MS8177C Socket A motherboard on the Server.
I studied the manual, and from the AMD web site with an AMD Athlon XP 2800
processor which runs at 333 MHz, I thought I had my dip pins for the motherboard
set at 166 MHz, but I checked them out, and they were only set at 100 MHz.
I changed them to 166 MHz, and the Server now shows a Athlon XP 2800 on bootup
bios display, and in Hardware Properties for XP it recognizes an Athlon XP 2800,
so the Server is now set up properly. Of course it only has 512 MB
of 233 MHz memory, and I could add more memory in future, but since it runs
mostly as a server, it really does not need that much memory. Still
it is now running much faster. I will now go through my email.
Note:<888>
06/01/06 Thursday 8:05 P.M.:
I installed the AMD Athlon XP 2800 CPU in the server computer with the new Spire
CPU cooler, and it all works just fine. The Spire CPU cooler
although it is an inexpensive items runs very quietly than the other $10 CompUSA
CPU cooler, so the server runs more quietly. The server recognized
the new CPU in the bios, and plug and play in the operating system.
It recognizes it as AMD 1250 MHz. I assume that is the correct
setting. I installed the AMD Athlon XP 2000 CPU from the server in
the Northgate Syntax computer on the brass and glass coffee table.
It works just fine too. I put the AMD Duron 1.6 in the CPU packaging that
arrived today, and I stored it on the bedroom sideboard shelf. About
the time I finished installing the CPUs, FedEx delivered the Mongoose bike.
They left it downstairs at the building entrance, so I used my pull cart from
the car to bring it up. I put the Schwinn bike against the down sofa
between the coffee table, and a friend of mine wants it, so it will be there
until he picks it up. I showered, and I cleaned up. I
went out to my 3 P.M. appointment. I then returned home.
I ate some dry roasted peanuts. I unpacked the Mongoose bike in the
hallway. It is made in China, and although it has a red frame, the
box says it is a women's bike. However, one can not really
tell, and with the lower center frame post, it is easier for an older person to
get on. I removed the packaging, and I looked at the instructions.
I basically had to attach the front handle bar assembly with an a L wrench and
installed the front tire and adjust the front breaks and install the seat.
The rest of it was pretty much all assembled. I also had to install
the pedals and the front and rear reflectors. The recommended tire
inflation is 45 PSI to 65 PSI, so I inflated them to 50 PSI. I threw
out the dual shipping boxes. I put the cart back in the car.
I still have to lubricate the bike and check the adjustments, which I will do
tomorrow or whenever the weather clears. The manual explains the
lubrication intervals. I left the manual and other paper work on the
dining room table. I put the Mongoose bike behind the down sofa in
living room walk area to the bedroom hallway. I won this Ebay

neighbors. I picked up my mail, and the
eBay: AMD ATHLON XP 2800 CPU SOCKET 462 (item 6883860391 end time May-27-06
14:45:30 PDT) for $51 and $8 shipping, tracking is
USPS - Track & Confirm arrived. I will put it in the server
computer, and transfer the AMD Athlon XP 2000 from the server to the Northgate
Syntax computer and take out keep the AMD Athlon Duron 1.6 for a spare
processor. Before I do that I will wash the breakfast dishes,
and I will make my bed. It should take about two hours to do all of
that. Yesterday afternoon, I ate about 40% of a 16 ounce jar of Planter's
dry roasted peanuts. I have the air conditioner at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

06/01/06 Thursday 10:45 A.M.:
I was awake at 9:30 A.M.. I just paid my bills for
www.geico.com automobile insurance,
www.cablevision.com for Digital
Cablevision, Optimum Voice, and Optimum Online, and
www.verizon.com for my local telephone
service. I also ordered from
www.ordersmokesdirect.com 7
cartons of New York Seneca Ultra Lights 100s in a box for $12.49 a carton for
$87.43 plus $12.96 postage for $100.39 total. On my
www.cl-p.com electricity account, I have a
surplus in the account, and depending on how much electricity I use, I do not
have any payments for the next 4 to 5 months.
On my order for
$99.99 with free Super Saving Shipping
Amazon.com: Mongoose Inland 26-Inch Dual Suspension Mountain Bike: Sports &
Outdoors , it is suppose to arrive today according to
FedEx | Track
, and it is out for delivery, so I have to wait around for them today.
According to the notes on the Mongoose link, one has to assemble it, and also
although they advertise it under men's bikes, there is some question as to
whether it is a men's bike or a women's bike, but one note says since it is red,
it is a men's bike, and the women's version's although the same are a different
color, so I guess we could say it is a Unisex bike. I will now have
breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, 2 slices of toast with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with splenda and
milk. CIO
