A.M.: Earlier I ate one sixth of the cheese cake, and I just ate three
scoops of butter pecan ice cream. Having studied personal computers
and internet activity for the past 16 years and having studied the local
immigrant population in this area and their travel patterns in this country and
this hemisphere, it is my projected viewpoint that in the next 5 to10 years the
Western Hemisphere could be invaded by a larger force from the Eastern
Hemisphere. There is only one country with a large enough Navy that
could possibly carry it off, and that would be Russia with its allies.
If you do not think it is possible, then you might think about the larger group
of people in Eastern Europe that lived under Russian tyranny after World War II.
Their agents are simply a lot of mindless drones that carry out their plans.
Well, I am too tired to go through my email, so I will now shut down the primary
computer, and I will go to bed soon. On a minor point, when one
shows up in North America, and one does not like the mostly English speaking
population in North America, there could be up to 2 billion people in the
southern Americas that speak different dialects of Spanish, so from what I can
tell, if the Russia Navy does make it to our shores in force, more than likely
the Spanish will have sold us out here in the Northern Hemisphere.
On the politics of the Geo Political game, one has to be familiar with all of
the pieces as they are in place at different stages and times of development.
From what I can tell, we are mostly dealing with Fifth Columnists.
Cheerio from the peaceful side of the Atlantic. How long it will
stay that way is opened to debate. CIO

09/30/06 Saturday 4:50
A.M.: Instead of going through my email, I tried to trouble shoot my
server problem. Since basically the only thing I have done is change
the cable modem which is still the same model that now has a different IP
address, and since my computer configuration has not changed, it should have
gone online when I got the new cable modem at cablevision this past Tuesday.
From what I can tell on
Test Your
Firewall and the Symantec Port Scan, Port 80 on the cable modem is still
blocked although Port 80 shows as being unblocked by Optimum Boost.
Thus either the new Motorola Cable modem is defective in terms of Port 80 or the
Cablevision provider of Optimum Online has some sort of problem with their
system. The only other logical alternative could be that other
technology people are trying to sell me another technology such as satellite,
but in public housing I am not allowed to have satellite. It
basically reflects on technology group such as AT&T which control the internet
lines that Cablevision uses versus the Hughes group that controls the satellite
technology. Unfortunately in the north country, even if I were
allowed to have satellite, one generally does not feel like going outside to
brush off the snow off the satellite dish. Although Cablevision does have
some violent content, I have been told that the Satellite content is even more
violent with such events as gladiator type events in other countries where
people fight to the death. From what I can tell, possibly when I went to
Radio Shack in Cos Cob recently, I got attention from some other internet user
whom has tried to discontinue my Cablevision Optimum Internet activity which has
gone on for about 10 years now. It would seem to me, since only
about a half dozen regular users use my web site every week, there is really no
reason for anyone to have bother me, so it might just be another tech problem at
Optimum. From what I can tell, the internet is simply low cost
communications, and it is not meant for brain surgery. However, in
an area like New York where people are very prone towards law suits, I keep a
web log of my activity, so I can deal with any problems should they occur.
One has to remember that a great many people try to take advantage of people
whom may live in wealthier towns, but with the large number of professionals
around here, the most logical problem I would say I have with Port 80 not being
opened is that the Cable Modem might be defective. 3% of all
computer items are defective in manufacturing and over 25% are returned.
Possibly it is some Old Guard type with a modest amount of influence that does
not like my
www.dell.com advertising links,
but that is a common link on the internet, and I have never made any money off
of the Dell links. I have read that Dell charges $80 per tech call,
so possibly somebody got tired of paying $80 charges to Dell, and got their
kicks out of having my Port 80 blocked. Obviously, if Cablevision or
Optimum Online can not fix the problem, which I am sure they will sooner or
later, I could try some other service, but
www.cablevision.com seems to be the best in the area. Knowing a
little bit about this technology on the internet after 16 years, if it is not
Hughes associates, it is usually somebody connected up with the telephone
company. With the large number of foreign nationals in this area, it
is possibly one of them up to something, but there is not logical reason for
them to bother me. I would think possibly that if there is a problem
created by an internet intruder into my system equipment, there would have to be
a motive. The biggest crime on the internet is "Identity Theft", so
possibly by having it appear that my server is down, they might want to make it
appear that I have gone away for a while, so they might try to use that as an
excuse for some sort of activity. Basically anyone whom goes
downtown in Greenwich, Connecticut knows that I am still here, since I am easily
seen as I go about my normal routines. I chatted with Cablevision
about the matter, the F.B.I., and the local Greenwich Police, but from what I
can tell none of them are really concerned about my internet activity or its
disruption or the possibility that some more powerful group like the current
domestic government might have shut it down. CIO

09/30/06 Saturday 12:55
A.M.: I went out after the last message. I went by the
George Weston Arnold Bakery outlet, and I bought a six pack of New York
Everything bagels for $1.85 and a Entenmann's French Deluxe cheese cake for $2
for $3.85 total. I then drove down by the waterfront by Grass Island, and
I drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road, and it seems some people have
enough time to practice their fishing still. I then went by CVS on
Greenwich Avenue, and I returned 8 of the two packs of Sylvania long life bulbs
for $16.88 cash refund. I then picked up a prescription. I
then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop, and I bought a traditional
wooden mounted in Old Yankee style mercury thermometer for a dollar. When
I returned home, and I put it on the inside back of my apartment door on the
left center with a OOK hook. I overheard that next Tuesday, they are
going to have their fall preview, but it might be on Wednesday. I
then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the
train station area. I chatted with two retired people about
computers and Greenwich. I picked up three copies of the new
Greenwich Metro North train schedule. I also stopped by the
Greenwich Hardware store on my walk, and I previewed their 70% off section.
I checked out all the various discounted flags. They even have a 5
foot by 8 foot Greenwich, Connecticut flag for 70% off its regular price of
$111, which would be about $34. I do not have room or funds to
afford to fly it. For all I know we are in Greenwich, China, and it
is left over from some trip back to the new world. I chatted with
another Dutch fellow whom cuts children's hair. I used the bathroom
at the senior and the arts center. I chatted with their regular
evening staff member. I then went by the Greenwich Library, and I
gave one of the reference librarians a copy of the new Greenwich train schedule.
At the train station the old schedules are on the right hand side of the ticket
counter, and the new ones are on the left hand side, and since they look the
same, it is easy to confuse them. The new Greenwich Metro North
schedule goes into effect on October 1, 2006. I read P.C. Magazine.
The Greenwich Library shows vintage movies in the auditorium on Friday evenings
at 8 P.M.. I then went by the Greenwich Automotive Service Center
Exxon gasoline station, and I bought $18.01 of premium unleaded self service
gasoline at $2.959 a gallon for 113.4 miles driving this week at 19.3 miles per
gallon average driving 21 miles per hour. I then went by Val's
Liquors, and I bought a 10 ounce bottle of Angostura Bitters for $9.50.
They seem to have lots of French wine in their store. I then went by
the Stop and Shop, and I bought a cab eye round roast at $3.59 a pound for
$8.83, a 100 count box of Splenda sweetener for $5.19, a dozen jumbo eggs for
$1.79, a pound of baby carrots for $1.79, and broccoli crowns at $1.49 a pound
for $1.31 for $18.91 total. I then returned home.
One of my neighbors thinks it is cold for this time of year. The ice
skating rink in the back yard is already opened. They have their pile of
snow piled up from the Zamboni ice cleaning machine.
I took the cab top eye round roast, and I put it on a baking rack in a baking
pan, and I seasoned it on all sides with garlic powder, chicken and meat
seasoning, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, and Kraft Bull's Eye original
barbeque sauce, and I cooked it in the Farberware convection oven at 350 degrees
Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. For the last 15 minutes, I put an inch of
water in a Revere two quart pot with lid and steamer tray with a cup of baby
carrots and broccoli spears, and I steamed them on high until the steam began to
rise and lowered it to medium high for a total of 15 minutes steaming time.
I also made up a batch of
http://www.geocities.com/mikelscott/mlsrice.htm , and I also used two beef
bouillon cubes in it. I cut two 5/8th inch thick slices off the
cooked eye round of beef on a carving board with a serrated cutting knife, and I
put the remaining eye round in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator.
I put the beef juices from the carving on the two slices of beef on a dinner
plate. I put the steamed broccoli and baby carrots in a bowl with a
little bit of olive oil on them. I put half of the rice on the plate, and
the other half in a Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator. I ate
it all with a glass of iced tea. As usual, I washed the dishes.
I then did two loads of laundry, and I put clean linens on my bed. I
also put $5 on my MacGray laundry card, so I have $13.85 left on it.
While doing my laundry, I rotated my summer shirts to the far left of the
bedroom closet, and I put my heavier winter shirts at the left center of the
closet, and my various pants are on the right side of the closet. I
have a lot of heavier flannel shirts that fit me, and since it tends to be
colder here from October through May, we wear heavier clothes around here for 8
months of the years, and summer clothes for about 4 months of the year.
Today on my walk, I also peeked into the new Vineyard Vines clothing store on
Greenwich Avenue where Sam Goody use to be across the street from J. Crew, which
seems to have clothes for the younger generation. I will now go
through my email. CIO

P.M.: I woke up. I chatted with a friend about how the
Scottish are allowed to steal horses on St. Mike's day. They are
also suppose to pick carrots. I think the horses like carrots.
I washed the breakfast dishes. I made my bed. I threw
out the garbage. I put out a scent bowl of white vinegar.
I have my automobile insurance card ready to put in the glove compartment.
I get a new one every six months, when I renew my automobile insurance.
I put together 8 of the Sylvania two packs of long life light bulbs, and I will
return them to CVS for $1.99 a two pack. I have the receipt.
Since that is their price at Wal-Mart all of the time, they are not hard to find
at that price, and the current stock that I installed are suppose to last 7
years. I am keeping three 2 packs to have in reserve.
I ate a large bowl of Lays sour cream and onion potato chips. I
picked up my mail. I will now shut down the primary computer, and I
will shower and clean up and go out. CIO

P.M.: I took one of the two large green peppers which was still
good, and I threw the other rotten one away. I diced the green
pepper into about 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch pieces. I also cut 30 large
black pitted olives in half, and I mixed them together. I then put three
tablespoons of olive oil in large frying pan on medium high electric burner
heat, and once the olive oil was hot, I sautéed the green peppers and olives for
5 minutes adding garlic powder, ground black pepper, and Italian seasoning, and
then I added about a quarter of a cup of Rene Junot white wine, and I let it all
simmer over medium heat for about 8 minutes, and until the peppers and olives
were tender, and the wine had mostly evaporated. I then set them
aside covered to stay warm. Before cooking the green peppers and
olives, I broke three large eggs in a mixing bowl, and I added a tablespoon of
grated parmesan cheese, a teaspoon of Italian seasoning, a tablespoon of olive
oil, and a couple of tablespoons of half and half, and I mixed it all together
with a whisk. Once the pepper and olives were done, I put my omelet
pan on the burner on medium to medium high electric heat, and I added three
tablespoons of olive oil, and once the olive oil was hot, I added the egg
mixture. Once the egg mixture began to bubble on top, and the omelet
was cooked enough on the bottom to hold together, I flipped it over, and I added
half of the green pepper and olive mixture to one side, and after about a
minute, the omelet had puffed up, and I flipped the other side over the mixture,
and I slid it on to a warm dinner plate that I had heated up with the peppers
and olives pan, and I added the remaining peppers and olive on top of the
omelet, and I sprinkled a couple of tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese on it.
While cooking the omelet, I also toasted two slices of dark German bread, which
I put a little bit of olive oil, and I cut in half. I ate it all
with a glass of iced tea. I then washed the dishes. I
chatted with a friend whom might be visiting more often, since his real estate
sales are slow recently. I chatted with a relative. CIO

09/28/06 Thursday 6:00
P.M.: I was awake at 6 A.M. this morning.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
chatted with
www.cablevision.com for a
while about trying to get the server going, and I pointed out that
Test Your Firewall says Port 80
on the server is not opened. He said he would move me to the next
higher level of support, but currently I have not heard back from them.
When I start the server IIS server program Port 21 for FTP is opened, so
possibly there is something wrong with my XP or Server configuration, but I can
not figure it out. I kept having problems with the server booting up
properly. I tried installing the Sound Blaster Audigy EAX programs
on the server, but I had a boot up problem, so I restored my ASR backup.
I still had a boot up problem. I put in a new IDE cable on the hard
drives, and that still did not fix the problem. I finally figured
out the SoHo LAN card was causing the problem. I took one of the
Netgear LAN cards out of the primary computer. I need that PCI
slot for the Hauppauge TV card, when I get it. I took out of the
server the SoHo and another generic LAN card, and I installed the Netgear and a
Linksys LAN card that I had in reserve, and that fixed the boot up problems, and
it now boots up without any problems. I installed the Sound Blaster
Audigy EAX programs, and then the drivers updates. The Sound Blaster
Audigy EAX card came with a computer game called "HITMAN" in German.
I left the game CD on top of the wicker rack that contains CDs in the bedroom.
The server now shuts down all the way, when one shuts it down, and the LAN cards
do not keep it awake. I also moved the case fan controller back a
bit in its slot, so the case door closes all of the way. One
problem, when installing the new LAN cards, I broke the orange light bar on the
bottom inside of the case. I noticed that one can buy a two pack of
them for about $10 a CompUSA. There is still the light bar on the
rear inside of the case. Last night I also turned off the light bars
with the rear switch on the Epox backup computer. One can turn them
on when one needs the effect. The new LAN cards in the server
installed plug and play without any problems. The server seems
to be much more responsive, and the internet speed on the server went up about
50% to 12 mbps download on the server and 3 mbps upload. Thus although the
server still will not go online, it is running much better. I
configured the D-Link router to reflect the new LAN cards, in case I can get it
online. Maybe my internet IP address is not yet out there on the
internet. I also did a Windows XP ASR backup of the server from the
C: drive to the D: drive. The new Creative SoundBlaster Audigy
EAX sound card with the two sets of premium speakers installed sounds just
great. I also turned the right monitor off on the server, since I do
not use it very much, and it is easily turned on by the monitor switch.
While doing all of this I went outside, and I moved my car from the rear parking
lot to the front parking lot. They were suppose to clean and paint
the stripes on the front parking lot today, but it was cancelled.
They might do it next week. I chatted with some neighbors, and I
picked up my mail. CIO
Note:<888>
09/27/06 Wednesday 9:45
P.M.: I tried to reinstall the Creative Live MP3+ sound card drivers
on the Epox backup computer system, and I got the same off color screen on the
monitor. I guess it is not a virus, but incompatible drivers.
I uninstalled the drivers, and the problem went away. I used the
default system drivers, and they work just fine. I am now making an
ASR backup of the server from the C: drive to the D: drive. I am
also doing a backup of the Epox computer from the C: drive to the D: drive.
I went outside, and I chatted with a neighbor. I opened a six
ounce can of solid white albacore tuna fish, and I rinsed it with the lid on
underneath cold water, and then I flaked it in a mixing bowl. I
diced about 20 large black pitted olives, and I mixed them in with dashes of Old
Bay Seasoning, ground black pepper, Italian spices, and two tablespoons of
mayonnaise. I then put half on two slices of bread and the two more
slices of bread on top, and I cut each of the two sandwiches in half across.
I also sliced a dill pickle into quarters lengthwise, and I put it all on a
dinner plate with a handful of Lays Sour Cream and onion potato chips.
I ate it all with a glass of iced tea. Earlier today, I ate a large
bowl of the same potato chips. I will now shut down the primary
computer, the server, and the Epox backup computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO
Note:<888>
09/27/06 Wednesday 6:35
P.M.: I installed the Creative Audigy Epox sound card in the server.
I also move the second light bar to the rear of the case from the bottom of the
case, so both light bars light up the case better. I tried
installing the sound card drivers, but once again the server would not boot.
I did a complete low level format writing zeros on the entire hard drive in case
their was a micro virus. I then installed the ASR backup again, but
this time I used a newer copy on disk of XP, so there was less of a chance of a
corrupted file. It installed, and possibly the problem was with
Norton Internet Security AntiVirus Autoprotect which would not load initially,
so I rebooted a second time, and I was able to update its virus file, and then I
was able to enable it. I did not install the second Norton update
that might have been causing a problem, which was a new intrusion detection
file. I then downloaded and installed the latest XP SoundBlaster Audigy
drivers and programs. I did not installed the Audigy programs that
came on the CD, since they might not have been XP compatible, and I did not need
them on the server at this point. I can always install them later,
but in installing them, they would also install the older drivers.
Still the server seems to be running just fine now. However, it
still will not go online. I installed the SoundBlaster Live
MP3+ sound card in the Epox backup computer. I then tried installing
the latest XP driver, but instead the system seems to have gotten a virus from
the driver download. I did a low level zero write format of the hard
drive, and I am now installing the backup again. I have another set
of the drivers that might not have the virus on the server that I can copy to
the Epox computer. CIO
Note:<888>
09/27/06 Wednesday 1:10
P.M.: I was up at 7 A.M.. I chatted with
www.cablevision.com about trying to get
the server going. It seems the server software is all right, but the
internet is not recognizing the web site IP address. It usually
takes 2 to 4 days for the IP addresses to be registered on the internet,
assuming that is the problem. Port 80 is suppose to be opened, but a
port scan showed it was still closed, so I am not sure if it is opened or
closed. Cablevision assures me, it is opened.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
washed the dishes. I chatted with a relative. I restored
the ASR backup on the server, and I installed the new XP updates and two VIA
driver updates. However, when I rebooted it worked, but after I shut
down and then rebooted it would not boot up properly. Perhaps the
new XP update or the VIA driver updates are defective. I used
MaxBlast, and I did a quick zero low level format and repartitioned the server
C: drive. I am now restoring the XP ASR backup again.
This time I will not install the updates. I went out, and I picked
up my mail, and I chatted with some neighbors.
Surplus Computers Sound Blaster Audigy EAX Advanced HD PCI Audio Card SB0160 arrived
in the mail, but I have not been billed for it yet. After I have the
server going, I will uninstall the Creative Live MP3+ software and its driver,
and then I will install the new sound card, and then I will install its software
and drivers. I will then install the Creative Live MP3+ sound card
in the Epox backup computer, and I will install its software and drivers.
This will take a while, so I might eat first. I made up a batch of

09/27/06 Wednesday 1:10
A.M.: I had a busy day on Tuesday. I found out that a
dear relative had passed away after a long illness. We will all miss
her dearly. I woke up at 6 A.M., and the server was not working.
I check it out, and it appeared it was not going online. I called
www.cablevision.com , and they tested
the cable modem, and they told me the modem was defective. I drove
up to the Cablevision Office in Norwalk, and I returned the defective modem, and
I got another type of cable modem. On the way home, I stopped by
CompUSA, and I toured the store. I then went by Wal-Mart, and I
bought a quart of Garelick Farms
Garelick
Farms low fat half and half for $3.12, a 48 ounce container of Quaker Oats
Old Fashioned oatmeal for $2.97, four 2 packs of GE crystal clear 15 watt blunt
tips bulbs for a $1.34 a two pack, and a Stainless Steel small Royal Dish
Drainer with detachable silverware holder and scratch resistant no slip feet in
Chrome for $7.88 plus .79 tax for $20.12 total. I was told, they do
not carry powdered milk there. I then returned home. I
tried to install the new cable modem, but after a number of calls to
Cablevision, it was determined it was defective. I then went back up
to the Cablevision store in Norwalk, and I was given another new one, but this
time, they gave me a Motorola SBV5120 Surfboard Cable Modem like I had before.
I also got a second Digital Cable box for $6 extra a month for the bedroom
television. I then returned home, and I ate a untoasted English muffin
with a glass of orange juice, and I showered, and I cleaned up. I
then went to my 4 P.M. appointment. I then returned home.
I installed the new cable modem, and I had Cablevision register it.
It works fine, and the Optimum Voice feature works fine too. I
chatted with two relatives about the relative that had passed away.
Without Optimum Voice I can not call long distance easily, but I do have AT&T
calling cards still. I put the chrome dish drainer in the right side
of the kitchen sink. It fits inside the kitchen sink, since I do not have
counter space available, since the Proscan television is on the right side of
the kitchen sink. I chatted with a friend, and I left a message with
another friend whom I chatted with his wife briefly. I could not get
the server to work with the new cable modem. I tried a number of
tweaks, and I had them open up Port 80 on the new cable modem. The
problem might be it takes a while for the internet to reset the new IP address,
so hopefully it work later on today. I shut down the server.
The server XP update seemed to have crippled the 16 meg. SIS PCI video card that
is the second video card, but that was fixed when I restored the ASR backup.
I opened a 18 ounce can of Progresso New England clam chowder, and I put it in a
plastic microwave proof pot with lid, and I microwaved it on two vegetable
cycles. I then put it in a large Cobalt blue soup bowl, and I
ate it with a glass of iced tea. I then hooked up the new digital
cable box to the Orion television in the bedroom, and it works just fine.
I will put the packages of 15 watt blunt tip bulbs in the bulb drawer in the
bedroom mahogany bureau. I found out the energy saving bulbs
that I bought for $2 a 2 pack at CVS are the same price all the time at
Wal-Mart, so I will return 9 of the $2 packs to CVS, and I will keep 2 of the $2
packs. I connected the Radio Shack gold 2 splitter and the Radio
Shack gold 3 foot cable when I hooked up the new cable modem, and I have another
cable hooked to the two splitter for the TV computer card when it arrives.
Thus at highway mileage rate, I probably used about $10 of gasoline driving to
Norwalk twice yesterday. I still have not been billed for this item
Surplus Computers Sound Blaster Audigy EAX Advanced HD PCI Audio Card SB0160 ,
although a later item the TV card has been billed to me by them.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.
I will eat a couple of scoops of low fat butter pecan ice cream before going to
bed. My appointment for this Thursday has been cancelled.

Greenwich Hospital , I went by the
Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, but their parking lot was filled up, so I went
by the Stop and Shop. I bought a 1.75 quart container of Edy's low
fat slow churn butter pecan ice cream and one of coffee for $1.99 each, a 2
pound bag of yellow onions for $1.49, fresh Chiquita bananas at .54 a pound for
$1.39, and two packages of two old artichokes for .70 and .73, and a
package of two old green peppers for .86 for $9.15 total. I then
returned home. I chatted with some neighbors. I put away
my purchases. While I was out, I downloaded Microsoft Vista RC1 beta
build 5728 on the server. I just burned it to DVD. I
will now install it on the primary computer and as an upgrade over Vista Beta
RC1 in on the secondary partition. I will reheat the spaghetti
noodles left over from yesterday along with the remaining half of a 26 ounce jar
of black and green olive tomato sauce in a plastic microwave proof pot with lid
on two or three vegetable cycles of the General Electric microwave oven, and I
will put it on a dinner plate with a few tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese
on it, and I will eat it all with a glass of iced tea. CIO

09/24/06 Sunday 9:10
P.M.:
I made up and ate a batch of
Michael Louis Scott's Pork and Beans
with franks . For the beans, I used a 13 ounce can of Campbell's beans
and franks, and I also used a whole medium diced onion, and I also added a
couple of teaspoons of Kikkoman soy sauce, and for the hot sauce, I used a
little bit of Frank's hot sauce, and I also added a little bit of red cayenne
pepper. I also used all of the other regular ingredients per the recipe.
I chatted with a friend that investigates horses, and he is tired of
politicians. I left a message with three friends. I
chatted with a local coastal observer down in Palm Beach, Florida.
I have a 9:30 A.M. dental appointment tomorrow. I will now shut
down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO

09/24/06 Sunday 6:45
P.M.: I went out after the last message. I went downtown
by CVS, and I picked up a partial prescription until the pharmacy prescription
computer lets me pick up more. I bought a 9.5 ounce can of CVS
cashew nuts halves and pieces for $2.50. I then met up with another
regular walker, and I offered to take the other regular walker for a drive.
The other walker showed me his vintage Toyota land cruiser that he just had the
head replaced on, and he was able to get a set of tires made in Korea for $300
at Town Fair
Town Fair Tires including
mounting and balancing. We then drove down on the waterfront on
Steamboat Road, and another Volvo driver similar to my car, but a V70 chatted
with me, and he had a "Check Engine" light on, and he wanted to know what it
means, and I told him the manual says there might be a problem with the
emissions. I also explained on my Volvo which is a 1995 Volvo 850
Turbo station wagon that when the ABS light stays on, the car will not go into
gear, and the blinkers, and the head lights will not work, but all one has to do
after starting it, if the ABS light stays on is to turn the key counter
clockwise about 1/8th of an inch, and the light goes off, and the other
accessories work all right. We then drove along the waterfront to
Tod's Point in Old Greenwich. We stopped by a relative's house of
the fellow walker. We stood out at the southwest parking area, and
we viewed Long Island Sound. I explained what might happen if the
mountain collapsed in the Canary Islands, and it produced a 1800 foot high tidal
wave across the Atlantic, and how this area at that point is opened into New
York Harbor from that direction. However, that might not be the case.
If you look at
NRL Monterey Satellite Photos , and draw a line from the Canary Island which
are southwest of Spain towards this area, Long Island it seems would protect us
from a tidal wave from that direction, but it is hard to tell with such a large
volume of water displaced what the actual effect might be. I do know
they use to have tidal wave simulation tanks at the Field Museum in Chicago,
Illinois, and over the years, they obviously have come up with accurate computer
models, but whether that information has been released to the general public, it
is hard to tell. I do know the rest of the Atlantic region would not
fair as well. However, the article I mentioned last week on page 67
of October 2006 Popular Mechanics, did say the theory of a large chunk of the
Canary Islands falling off into the ocean might be wrong, and in fact it might
break off in small chunks over time producing smaller tidal wave activity.
I do know the Canary Islands go under water about 70,000 feet, so the ocean is
deep at that location, so what above water might not look like a large chunk
underwater, it might be a much large piece of geological formation that would be
displaced. From the same
NRL Monterey Satellite Photos , it looks like Europe might get some rain.
However, I think for France this time of year, it is generally better if it does
not rain too much, because I think the grape harvest for the wine is better if
it is drier, and if there is too much rain, the grapes tend to get moldy.
After viewing the harbor, we drove back to central Greenwich. I
showed the fellow walker another parking area just across from Griffin Ford at
the triangle north of the rotary that has cheaper parking at 25 cents an hour,
but the lots fills up early with commuters. We then walked up Greenwich
Avenue to a small restaurant on west Elm Street that serves food to go, and the
fellow walker got a cup of coffee. We then sat out downtown, and it
started to rain, so I walked the other walker back to his residence, and then I
returned back to central Greenwich. I used the bathroom at the
senior and the arts center. I chatted with someone from Greece.
I then ate about 60% of the 9.5 ounce can of cashew nuts. I then walked
lower Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I then went by
the Greenwich Library, and I read the Greenwich Time. They said that
President Bush would be landing in Binney Park in Old Greenwich, Connecticut for
his fund raising trip to this area. I am not sure whether it is at
the
Hyatt Regency
Greenwich or not, but they usually are. Thus if one wanted to
take a chance on seeing him tomorrow, you could check in their early tomorrow,
and one might catch a glimpse of him, however frequently they shield the
President from being viewed by the general public, so one might not see him
anyway. Back in the days of President Reagan, they use to put up
ceiling to floor black curtains the entire length of his passage within the
Waldorf Astoria, so nobody would be able to view him, but the audience at the
reception. However, I once was driving down Lexington Avenue, and I
stopped by the light at the northeast corner of the Waldorf Astoria, as
President Ford was leaving the Al Smith dinner, and I saw him riding in the
limousine as he left the Waldorf, so I have also seen President Ford while he
was President. I might have seen President Bush over the years, but
I tend not to notice people my age, since I see so many thousands of them all of
the time, it is hard to notice one from the other. I am sure there
are a lot of look a likes in the Baby Boom Generation. I then sat
out for a while at the Greenwich Library. I then returned
home. I chatted with a relative. CIO

09/24/06 Sunday 10:50
A.M.: I went to bed after the last message. I had a
telephone call from two friends about 5 P.M., but since I was asleep, I do not
know what I said. I woke up at midnight, and I had a telephone
messages from two relatives.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I went
back to bed until 5 A.M.. I watched some television, and I went
outside briefly, and I picked up yesterday's mail.
I boiled three quarts of water
with a teaspoon of olive oil and a dash of sea salt. I then
boiled for 8 minutes a 16 ounce package of Ronzoni vermicelli noodles.
I then drained the water with a colander into another pot, and I threw the hot
water down the bathroom sink to clean out my shaving soap scum. During the
last five minutes of the boiling, I microwaved on two vegetable cycles half the contents of a 26 ounce jar of
Barilla Putanessca green and black olive tomato sauce in a microwave proof
plastic pot with lid in the General Electric microwave oven. I put half of
the cooked vermicelli noodles in a flat Rubbermaid container in the
refrigerator, and the other half I put on a dinner plate with the heated tomato
sauce and a few tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese. I ate
it all with a glass of cold water. I put the remaining tomato sauce in the
jar in the refrigerator. I fell back asleep until 9 A.M. on the
sofa. I washed the dishes, and I made my bed. I am off
on the pill count on one of my two prescriptions. Possibly they did
not give me enough the last time I refilled them at CVS. I will have
to count them in the future, when I refill the prescriptions. I
chatted with a relative. I will now send out my weekly notes.
I will then shut down the primary computer, and I will clean up, and I will go
out. There are suppose to be showers this afternoon. CIO

P.M.: I went out after the last message. I chatted with
some neighbors. I went by Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Mason
Street to the ATM machine. I then sat out for a while downtown.
I then drove down by the waterfront. I then went back by Putnam
Trust Bank of New York on Mason Street, and I waited for them to open.
They were moving in some new furniture for their renovation project.
I then went by Radio Shack in Cos Cob, and I bought a
Radio Shack Gold Series 75-0hm Coax 2-way Cable TV Splitter #15-2587 for $9.99,
and a Radio Shack Gold Series 3 foot coaxial cable for $9.99 plus $1.20 tax for
$21.18 total. I will use them to install the TV card when I get it.
I figured it is better to use the gold splitter and cable to continue the gold
line connection for the cable modem in the apartment. I might
try the non gold connections first to make sure the TV card works properly,
before I install the gold connections. I then went by the Greenwich
Hospital Thrift Shop, and I bought a 2.5 quart Commercial Aluminum Cookware pot
from Toledo, Ohio for $3 and a new modern hand can opener for $1 for $4 total.
I then bought a like new
Linksys.com - Products/Wireless/Basic Networking/Broadband
Routers/Wireless-G/WRT54G for $20. It came in the box with all of its
new packaging. It is 1.1 model extension number. I then went back by
Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Mason Street. I then went by the
Greenwich Automotive Exxon Service Station next to the Greenwich Library, and I
bought $9 of premium unleaded self service gasoline at $3.099 a gallon for 45.7
miles driving this week at 14.5 miles per gallon averaging driving 13 miles per
hour. I then returned home. I brought up my purchases.
I put the pot on the stove with a lid in it the same size. I put the
can opener in the center drawer in the kitchen. I installed the
Linksys wireless router placing it on top of the right server monitor to the
right of AT&T wireless router. I now have two wireless routers.
I tested it with the Toshiba laptop, and it works better with the Windows XP
wireless networking instead of the Netgear wireless program, so I left it set up
with the XP wireless setup to connect. I installed the latest
firmware and configured the Linksys Wireless router. I registered it with
Linksys. This all took a bit of time. I left the Linksys
box on the near back of the down sofa. I will now shut down the
primary computer, and I will microwave and eat a Banquet 7 ounce chicken pot
pie, which I will have with a glass of iced tea. I will then go to
bed. CIO

I know some of the Rockefellers live in Riverside, so maybe they can afford to
go, but last I heard they were away at school at Stanford University, but that
was about 15 years ago. The Rockefellers like going to school in
California, because their friends have to spend more money on their gasoline to
show up and visit them. I went outside, and I chatted with some
neighbors, and I picked up my mail. I remember in the good old days
of Ford Rockefeller republican politics in New York City, they use to throw
Republican fund raisers, where they served Chicken pot pies. I
microwaved a Banquet chicken pot pie, which I ate with a glass of iced tea.
I guess the reason they served chicken pop pies at Old Guard republican fund
raisers is that a lot of those older people probably have dentures, and it is
easier to eat chicken pot pies. I will now shut down the primary

P.M.: I went outside, and I chatted with some neighbors. The
American
Red Cross arrived to pick up one of my neighbors whom does not have a car.
I told him the story how when I was traveling in Greece in 1972 with a relative
of one of Queen Victoria's guards, I was introduced by him to the head of the
International Red Cross
International Committee of
the Red Cross (ICRC) - Home , and he told us he was going to Viet Nam to
negotiate the release of Prisoners of War. We were suppose to meet
up with him in Istanbul, Turkey when we got there in a few weeks, but when we
got there, we did not know how to contact him. However, we were driving a
red and white General Motors Opel station wagon made in Germany that I had
bought at American Express in Athens, Greece for $300. As I recall
he was Swiss. The regular building custodian is here going about his
usual activity. I just heard a loud thump in my apartment from the
empty apartment next door, so maybe something fell. I did a minor
adjustment on the server. The top orange light bar had fallen from
the top of the inside of the server because the warmth of the server had caused
its adhesive strips to not stick to the case. I solved the problem
by fastening the second top light strip to the bottom inside of the case with
two sided tape along side the existing light strip. I used
electrical tape to tape the small transformer to the bottom of the case with its
air vents left open. I then secured the PCI slot switch which I can
not install in a PCI case slot, since none are available, instead I taped it to
the outside lower front of the server with electrical tape, and then I closed up
the case making sure the various wires were pushed away from the two lower light
strips which glow orange. Thus one can now turn the orange server
lights on and off, so hopefully they will last longer instead of going all of
the time. I will now leave them off, and only turn them on, when I need to
light up the inside. I will now go out an check my mail.

blue stretch Cadillac limousine that I see all of the time at night.

09/21/06 Thursday 2:25
A.M.: Basically the English are a bunch of dairy farmers, so when one goes
on English time in America, you get up about 11 P.M. to midnight, which since
England is 5 hours ahead of us in time which would be about 4 A.M. to 5 A.M.,
which would be about the right time to get up and milk the cows. Of
course one needs a farmer's breakfast.
I put three tablespoons of water in a 10 inch frying pan, and I put in the
contents of a 7 ounce box of Armour lite frozen sausages, and I set them to
medium electric heat with lid, and I cooked them for seven minutes.
While this was happening, I broke three large eggs in a large mixing bowl, and I
added two tablespoons of milk, and a few dashes of oregano and ground black
pepper, and a tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese and a small bit of olive oil,
and I whisked it all together. Once the sausages had cooked seven
minutes, I removed the lid, and I let them cook with the water evaporating for
three minutes moving them around. I then added a couple of
tablespoons of olive oil and let if warm up, and then I added the egg mixture,
and I cooked it mixing it together for medium cooked scrambled eggs with
sausages. I put the pan on a dinner plate to warm it, and then I
added the egg and sausage mixture. I also toasted two slices of
toast which I put olive oil on, and I cut in half. I ate it all with
a glass of iced tea. I will now shut down the primary computer, and
I will shower, and I will clean up, and I will go out for an early morning
stroll. Since I do not commute to work, but since I work at home, I
frequently need to get a bit of exercise when I wake up to get back into my
normal routine. The best exercise I know is a walk on
Greenwich Avenue at night time, when one does not have to pay to park, but it
still costs about .35 a mile in gasoline for about 5 miles driving round trip to
the senior center and back or $1.75 round trip or $2.40 if one goes all of the
way down to Steamboat Road to make sure the
www.rbs.co.uk is still all right. Whatever, the case I would
just assume to stay at home and save the money, but I feel it is important to
get the exercise in my normal walking routine. Of course I could
always ride my bicycle, but frequently night time drivers do not always seen
bicycle riders, although I do have lights on my bicycle, and it is brand new.
Basically I am a creature of habit. When out at night, one has to
keep a keen eye out for any skunks that might be prowling around.
For those of you not familiar with this area, a skunk is the small black and
white animal that sort of looks like a cat, but its natural defense mechanism is
to spray anyone that threatens it with a very potent nasty smelling spray that
can only be removed with tomato juice. Thus certain computer gurus,
think I am part of the Microsoft Skunks Works project which is taken from the
term used for the United States Air Force Skunk Works project which as I recall
was at Area 51, where they probably do not have skunks in the Nevada desert.

The neighbor called later and gave me a dollar for a pack of cigarettes that had

I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
went back to bed until about midnight. I picked up my mail.
I washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed. One of those
vintage movies about British prisoners of war held by the Japanese in Ceylon in
World War II called the "Bridge on the River Kwai" is on television.
It is about them being force to build a bridge over a river.
Thus from what I can see from the movie which was a favorite of Ronald Reagan's
because William Holden was in it, the local veterans around here probably would
not be too friendly with the Japanese, if you get my drift. I think
the movie is based on a true story, so if the British have not looked into it,
possibly they should have a fitting memorial marker to all of those prisoners
that were killed in Ceylon while building the railroad there.
I guess much could be said for the prisoners that were forced to rebuild the
Florida Keys bridges when I was down there in the late 1970s. We
never knew whom was in charge down there, but I recall one character that looked
like Adolph Hitler. Maybe some day the prisoners down there will
blow up the Florida Keys bridges to keep Castro from easily invading the United
States. Local television here has the dictator from Venezuela on
television at the United Nations saying that the current U.S. President
www.whitehouse.gov is the Devil.
I guess the current government in Venezuela forgets all of the help the U.S. has

A.M.: I had a regular 10.75 ounce can of Campbell's condensed tomato
soup and a regular can of Campbell's Chicken noodle soup, and they were both
dated October 2005, but I normally do not eat condensed soup, since it has a bit
of salt in it, so I took them downstairs, and I chatted with one of my
neighbors, and my neighbor said they still would be good, so I gave them to my
neighbor. That is about the oldest food in the apartment except for
some chocolate covered cherries that are about a year old and some dried pasta,
which is probably good for ever. I had some other old food items in
the apartment, which I have listed on
http://mikelouisscott.com/inventory.htm . Generally, one is
suppose to rotate one's food stock as one stores it. However, I
sometimes save the can good for a little over a year, since they are suppose to
last two years, and can goods are frequently handy during the winter.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.

higher price of fuel, we probably have less traffic downtown. For
any regular visitors downtown, I noticed last night that they have changed the
one way street direction downtown of the street on the north side of the police
station and the Senior and the Arts center. I guess this has to do
with preparation for the new construction of the new fire and police station and
tearing down the old station annex on the north side of that street.
The traffic now runs One Way from Mason Street to Greenwich Avenue.
I was told the old police station annex use to be a Nash Rambler garage.

A.M.: I forgot to mention, the total size of my apartment is 450 square
feet. Also, the false ceilings are eight feet high, but they are not
insulated but just about 1 inch thick card board, and then there is about 5 feet
of air space above the false ceilings where the original old school building
ceiling still exist. What sort of insulation there is in the original
ceilings I do not know. Thus even without the Lasko box fan blowing
the electric heat around the apartment in the winter, it can be a bit cold and
drafty, which is why these come in handy
Men's Mostly Long Underwear and Long

which would probably be $6.95. CIO
Note:<888>
09/20/06 Wednesday 6:30
A.M.: I have a half size hot water heater above the false ceiling
the bathroom above the bathroom sink, and it is not insulated. I believe
the Greenwich Housing Authority set it on Low or below 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
At night when working all night and early morning hours, I burn about 300 watts
total of low wattage light bulbs. I have a full size refrigerator with
freezer that I keep at the middle temperature. I have the Honeywell
Hepa air purifier going all the time. I have two 500 watt power
supplies in the primary and server computers, and of course the server goes all
the time. However, just because they are 500 watt, they actually have that
capability, but I do not think they consume that much in normal use.
I have a 19 and 20 inch CRT monitors on the primary computer, and two 19 inch
CRT monitors on the server, and the server monitors are not on too much.
Of course, there is the cable modem, router, and network switch which are low
voltage along with the control panels. I have about a half dozen
electric clocks in the apartment. I also have electric radiator heat
in the winter during colder weather, and in the summer in warmer weather I run
the General Electric Profile 15,500 BTU air conditioner with remote control set
at Energy Saving usually around 74 degrees Fahrenheit, which keeps the apartment
on average at 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Also in the winter, when it is colder
I do not turn on the electric heat in the bathroom. I also keep the
bedroom thermostat at 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and I use an electric blanket
on cold nights when I am asleep along with a polyester comforter. My
apartment is opened to the Northwest which is cold in the winter, and the
building does not have good insulation and only has large single pane glass
windows. I have four 4 foot by 8 foot single pane glass windows.
Also in the summer, my windows face the westerly afternoon sun but not in the
winter, and on hot days the sun heats up the black roof outside my window, so it
would be very hot without air conditioning. I set the Living Room
thermostat at 74 degrees Fahrenheit which keeps the apartment at about 70
degrees Fahrenheit in the winter, and I also use the Lasko box fan to blow the
heat around the apartment to keep it from rising into the false ceiling.
If we get extreme cold to below 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside, I have two
DeLonghi oil filled electric radiators that I set up, that can provide extra
heat at extra electric cost. I also use a General Electric microwave
oven. For baking which I do infrequently, I use the Farberware convection
oven. I basically never use the General Electric oven, but I do use
its stove top burners. I also use the Krups espresso coffee cappuccino
machine. I also use a Water Pik. I generally watch
about one hour of television a day. Thus on a monthly average my overall
yearly electric bills currently are running $149 a month. CIO

the pond have anything to chat about
Buckingham Palace Contact
Us . They usually are very polite on the telephone, but usually
when they the Yanks call up, it does not make much sense to them, why they are
wasting so much money to call across the pond. I suppose, most
Americans are so programmed on the country England, they go out of their way to
be friendly with them, but usually the traveling English public are smaller
individuals, so people tend not to notice them. I can assure you
with all of their northern agricultural expertise, they have their own group of
fat porkers across the pond, whom would be too uncomfortable to travel.
It is like President Taft a fat man said when he had to campaign for President,
it was the most uncomfortable two months he ever spent in his life.
I recall, about the only thing President Taft as a fat man did to improve the
White House
www.whitehouse.gov was to
install a king size bath tub that he could fit in. However, back
then energy for hot water might have been cheaper compared to what it would cost
to fill a king size bath tub in the White House with hot water today.
Speaking of hot water, there is no where I can find on the internet about how
much it costs to fill up a bath tub with hot water. I suppose women
whom have influence and frequently take baths, try to keep this information top
secret. My best bet depending on the size of the bath tub, it costs about
50 cents to a dollar. However, in my own personal showering routine,
I turned on the shower with an average flow shower head, and I wet myself with
warm water, and I quickly shampoo my hair, and I rinse it off, and I turn off
the water. I then put hair conditioner in my hair, and I lather soap
all over my wet body, and then I turn on the warm water again, and I rinse off
my whole body. By not having the warm shower water on while lathering with
soap, I probably save half as much water that I might normally use, and all
together it is about 2.5 to 3 minutes at most of water running at most.

I chatted with
www.cablevision.com .
Apparently, the Turner movie channel on channel 76 and other cable channels are
switching from analog signal to digital signal, so to receive them one needs to
have a Digital Cable box on each analog television that one has at $5.70 a month
for each Digital Cable box. Thus I will have to watch the Digital
channels on the Living Room Sony television that has a Digital Cable box.
I obviously after paying $135 a month for Digital Cable Television, Optimum
Online Boost Cable Modem Internet Service, and Optimum Voice long distance
telephone service which permits unlimited calling in the U.S., Canada, and
Puerto Rico, do not think I should spend any more money for Digital Cable boxes,
since I hardly watch the television except for the Fox News with breakfast
coffee and the Turner movie channel late or early morning before going to bed.
Obviously I can not afford and do not need a flat screen digital LCD television
screen. I guess in the world of reality, the Couch Potatoes think
they rule, until they find everything else is also going up in price too.
Possibly in the future I might have to eliminate the Digital Television service
and go without it. That costs about $74 a month, but I get a $20
discount on it and pay about $54, because I subscribe to Optimum Voice.

in the juice of one ripe medium lemon removing the pips or seeds.
Once the tea has steeped for over an hour in its large plastic container before
I dilute it and put it in orange juice containers, I will also add four ounces
of Rene Junot French white table wine to give it a little bit more flavor.
Back in the Good Old Days of
www.lfc.edu in
Lake Forest, Illinois, when I lived outside of Boston, one of my classmates at
Lake Forest College invited me to visit at their home in Marblehead,
Massachusetts, and I really enjoyed the iced tea they served me, and it was made
like Sangria. I later learned the stepfather in the house Wolf
Barker was the Chairman of the Board of
www.lipton.com , and two of his daughters by a previous marriage had lived
in China. The individual I knew once worked at the
A&P Supermarket , which is also known
for tea, since it was founded as the "Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company".
Another friend of mine that keeps hop scotching all over the planet might be
James Twinings, so possibly he would also know something about tea.
Of course back in the good old days in America, my old buddy from Fort
Lauderdale, Wiley Middleton, also came from a family around Charlestown, South
Carolina where they also were known for producing tea, and off course down south
in my youth everyone drank iced tea, before
www.coke.com became more common with more refrigeration available, once they
had enough electricity with

about 8 A.M., after watching a bit of morning television. I woke up
at 3 P.M., and
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
went back to bed until 5:30 P.M.. I chatted with a relative, and I
showered, and I cleaned up. I washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my
bed. I put a little bit more water in the large palm tree on my
living room window ledge, since it probably needs more water than the miniature
palms. I went out, and I chatted with a neighbor. I went
by the Greenwich Library, and I read Popular Science and Popular Mechanics.
I made a copy of the article about potential disasters in America in the Popular
Mechanics magazine for October 2006 on page 67. I spent 70 cents
making the copies. I chatted with a former Greenwich Country Day classmate
whom has a relative that lives in the Seattle, Washington area, but he was not
interested in Mount Rainier collapsing in the future. I gave the
Popular Mechanics magazine for the reference librarian to read. I
then went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the
train station area. They still do not have the new Metro North train
schedules out, and the old ones expire on September 30, 2006.
I stopped by CVS during my walk. I reminded them that they make up
to 70% of their profits from the pharmaceutical department, and the Swiss
headquarter a lot of pharmaceutical companies. There was nothing
that I needed. As I recall, it was also a Swiss Engineering firm
that built the tramway in Manhattan from East 59th street plaza on the East Side
to Roosevelt Island. I think the Swiss are also good at building
railroads in the Mountains. I completed my walk, and then I used the
bathroom at the Senior and the Arts center. They teach the French
language there for people whom are interested. I think the
Swiss speak, French, German, Italian, and Romansh
Switzerland: Words and Phrases . I then drove down by the
waterfront, and there were quite a few people fishing down there, so the fishing
must be good. Fishing is usually good on rainy days, since the rain
drives the insects to the water, and the fish like insects. I then
went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought 6 yellow green Chiquita bananas at .54 a
pound for $1.43. I then returned home. I sent out a short

I sliced across the last of the 12 ounce pieces of Angus top round of steak at a 45
degree angle 3/8th inch thick slices of steak, and since the original piece was
about an inch thick, I cut each strip in half lengthwise. I then put
about four tablespoons of olive oil in a 10 inch stick proof frying pan on
medium high electric burner heat, and I added the last remaining five cloves of minced garlic.
I put the meat in and seasoned it with garlic powder, ground black pepper, and
chicken and meat seasoning. Once it was browned after about two
minutes on one side, I flipped the beef strips, and I seasoned them again, and I
added one medium diced onion, about 12 ounces of tomatoes
cut into 1/8th tomato wedges, and 1/3 of a orange bell pepper cut into thin slices, and
I browned the beef strips again for about two minutes, and then I mixed them
together with the onions, tomatoes, and peppers, and I added about a teaspoon of
Italian spices, and I then added about 1/5th of a cup of Rene Junot white table
wine and about four tablespoons of Kikkoman soy sauce, and I mixed them it all
together, and I continue cooking them on medium high electric heat until about
50% of the liquid had evaporated about five minutes time, and about that same
time I had reheated the rice left over from last night on two vegetable cycles
of the General Electric microwave oven. I then spread the rice in a
large Cobalt Blue soup bowl on a dinner plate, and I spread the beef and onion
and vegetable mixture over the rice in the large soup bowl, and I ate it all
with a glass of iced tea. I used the large soup bowl, since there
tends to be a bit of liquid from the mixture, so in a soup bowl it stays in.
Anyway, it is a very excellent meal, which I will have for the next two nights

Either the onboard audio never worked, or something happened to it.
I have two pairs of speakers and a headset connected to it, so it is not the

from the motherboard that I could try to hook up, but I think it would be
easier to try to get a cheap sound card for it. Possibly the sound drivers
from the previous configuration when its hard drive was in the Northgate Syntax

the onboard motherboard audio jacks. The onboard audio is enabled in

I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I went back
to bed until 7 P.M., when a neighbor called. The neighbor was having
problems with a vintage computer. I went over to the neighbor's
apartment to check it out. It was a vintage Windows 95 Acer computer with
32 megs. of memory, and its Windows 95 OEM product registration code was
coming up on boot up. The computer was given to my neighbor by
someone that works in the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop that did not want it.
It did not come with the OEM disks, so I was not able to fix it.
Technically one could boot it with a DOS 6 floppy disk, and reformat the hard
drive, and then install DOS 6, and then one could install Windows 95, but that
would take several hours time, which I did not have time for. Also
if one were to use it go online, one would need Windows 95 TCP/IP updates, and I
am not sure if Microsoft makes them available anymore. I then did
two loads of laundry. I put clean linens on my bed. I
washed the breakfast dishes. I chatted with a friend. I
showered, and I cleaned up. I went downtown, and I walked the entire
length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat out at
various locations. Not much going on this morning, but the
electricity seems to still be working, if one can afford to pay their
electricity bills. Midway in my walk, I ate two thirds of a 5.5
ounce tube of Pringle sour cream and onion potato chips that I had brought with
me. Late at night and early mornings, when I take my frequent walks
downtown on Greenwich Avenue, I can not afford to eat at the Diner, and
frequently after the bars close, there is no place to go to the bathroom, so one
has to plan one's conveniences around the walk. I then drove down by

A.M.: I threw out some garbage and the old periodical paper and
other waste paper and old computer magazines. I picked up my mail
from yesterday.
I made up a batch of
Michael Louis Scott's Microwave
Oven Rice Recipe , and I also put two beef bullion cubes in it.
I sliced across one of the 12 ounce pieces of Angus top round of steak at a 45
degree angle 3/8th inch thick slices of steak, and since the original piece was
about an inch thick, I cut each strip in half lengthwise. I then put
about four tablespoons of olive oil in a 10 inch stick proof frying pan on
medium high electric burner heat, and I added four cloves of minced garlic.
I put the meat in and seasoned it with garlic powder, ground black pepper, and
chicken and meat seasoning. Once it was browned after about two
minutes on one side, I flipped the beef strips, and I seasoned them again, and I
added one medium diced onion, about 12 ounces of tomatoes
cut into 1/8th wedges, and 1/3 of a orange bell pepper cut into thin slices, and
I browned the beef strips again for about two minutes, and then I mixed them
together with the onions, tomatoes, and peppers, and I added about a teaspoon of
Italian spices, and I cooked them some more mixing them about three minutes.
I then added about 1/5th of a cup of Rene Junot white table wine and about four
tablespoons of La Choy low sodium soy sauce, and I mixed them it all together,
and I continue cooking them on medium high electric heat until about 50% of the
liquid had evaporated about five minutes time, and about that same time I had
the rice was done. I then spread half the rice in a large Cobalt
Blue soup bowl, and I put the other half in a Rubbermaid container in the
refrigerator, and I spread the beef and onion and vegetable mixture over
the rice in the large soup bowl, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea.
I completed the backups of the primary computer, and I also did a Windows XP
Automatic System Recovery from the server from the first C: drive to the second
D: drive. I also did and XP ASR backup of the server from the C:
drive to the Maxtor external hard drive. I will now send out my
weekly notes.

P.M.: I worked with
http://mikelouisscott.com/visbeta.htm . I went to bed at 1 P.M..
Before going to bed, I ate three scoops of Edy's caramel delight low fat ice
cream. I had two telephone calls while I was asleep. I
woke up at 7 P.M.. I chatted with a relative. I gave a
neighbor a copy of a computer CD that the neighbor needed.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
installed the Logitech Webcam Pro 5000 program to work with my Logitech Webcam
4000 web cam in XP. I chatted with a relative. I
will now run Ad-aware SE, Norton Win Doctor 2003, Ccleaner, and do a System
Restore Backup. I will then do a Microsoft Windows XP Automatic
System Recovery backup from the first C: drive to the second hard drive D:
drive. I will then from Vista RC1 do a Complete PC backup from the
first hard drive to the second hard drive, and then I will do a Vista Complete
PC backup from the first hard drive to the Maxtor external hard drive.
The backups should take about four hours. I will wash the breakfast
dishes and make my bed during that period, and possibly I will clean up, and
work with one of the other computers. I could go out, but I am a bit
tired. I could also watch the Spider Man DVD. I also
could make the same meal as last night. CIO

A.M.: The glow lights are day glow orange or red. I
installed the second set in the server. There was not a spare
PCI slot in the case for the switch, so I taped it with electrical tape to the
upper support bar adjacent to the clear Plexiglas window between the power
supply and the 5.25 inch drive bays. I also taped the transformer at the
same location. When taping the transformer, its air ducts need to be
exposed. I also put in a new cling free static free sheet in the
filter housing to filter the air into the computer. I will now go
through my email. CIO

09/16/06 Saturday 2:05
A.M.: In the order today besides the two sets of two light bars
which retail for $14 each set, they sent me 3 IDE blue glow cables instead of 2
and a floppy cable. However, it was a good deal with promotion from the
red aluminum computer case the Epox system is in on the brass and glass coffee
table in the living room. I disconnected the red aluminum case, and
I installed one set of light bars in it. I put one on the upper part of
the case and one on the lower part of the case. The have a switch in the
rear of the case slot. I then rotated its monitor on the oak
keyboard drawer around 180 degrees, so it faces the far end of the down sofa,
and I reinstalled the red case facing that direction, and I reconnected the
cables. There is room for the two line AT&T telephone on the oak
keyboard drawer. Thus in the winter, it will be usable in a warmer
location away from the drafty living room windows behind the long green sofa.
However, in the winter, when I seal up the air conditioner with Styrofoam, I put
the Lasko fan on the window shelf to blow around the heat from the electric
radiators below it, so the heat blows out into the apartment instead of rising
into the false ceiling. However that does create a bit of a draft
over the far ends of the two sofas in front of the Lasko fan, although I only
put the Lasko fan on low speed. I will now shut down the
server, and I will install the other set of light bars in it the same way.
The clear panel windows on the red aluminum case now is visible underneath the
brass and glass coffee table, so one can see its lights from the interior.
The server also has a clear panel which let one see its interior lights in the
reflection of the mirror behind the right primary computer monitor.

A.M.: This past evening before going out, I weighed myself in my
boxer shorts after breakfast and before showering, and I weighed 195 pounds.

I put the meat in and seasoned it with garlic powder, ground black pepper, and
chicken and meat seasoning. Once it was browned after about two
minutes on one side, I flipped the beef strips, and I seasoned them again, and I
added one medium diced onion, about 12 ounces of various type of old tomatoes
cut into wedges, and 1/3 of a orange bell pepper cut into thin slices, and
I browned the beef strips again for about two minutes, and then I mixed them
together with the onions, tomatoes, and peppers, and I added about a teaspoon of
Italian spices, and I cooked them some more mixing them about three minutes.
I then added about 1/5th of a cup of Rene Junot white table wine and about four
tablespoons of La Choy low sodium soy sauce, and I mixed them it all together,
and I continue cooking them on medium high electric heat until about 50% of the
liquid had evaporated about four minutes time, and about that same time I had
reheated the rice left over from last night on two vegetable cycles of the
General Electric microwave oven. I then spread the rice in a large
Cobalt Blue soup bowl, and I spread the beef and onion and vegetable mixture
over the rice in the large soup bowl, and I ate it all with a glass of iced tea.
I used the large soup bowl, since there tends to be a bit of liquid from the
mixture, so in a soup bowl it stays in. Anyway, it is a very
excellent meal, which I will have for the next two nights to come. I
currently weigh after dinner and a walk in my boxer shorts like before 197.5
pounds, so dinner and liquid must have weighed 2.5 pounds, but I probably shed a
little weight walking Greenwich Avenue. It takes a good meal to
perform the walking routine I frequently perform, not to mention it costs 35
cents a mile in gasoline to drive downtown and back 5 miles to and from the
senior center or 7 miles to the end of Steamboat Road, and since I have been on
Greenwich Avenue for 23.5 years since I returned from long summers in Nantucket
and winters in Manhattan, Long Island, California, New Canaan, and Florida; I
obviously have some local experience. It is my viewpoint we eat
better out here in Greenwich, Connecticut than the other places, but it based on
knowing how to shop cheaply and knowing how to cook. Of course with
all of the rich people around here, they do not seem to be interested too much
in food, since they believe "You Can Never Be Too Rich or Too Thin".
However, they do consume a lot of energy in traveling and maintaining their
multiple homes. CIO

P.M.: I woke up at 3 P.M. this past afternoon.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed.
I chatted with a relative whom is recovering from minor surgery. I
watered the plants, and I put out more white vinegar in the vinegar scent bowl
on the window ledge in the living room. I use the white vinegar for
scent control.
www.ups.com delivered the
computer case parts that I got for free for $13.95 shipping and handling.
They scent be a blue glow floppy drive cable, two blue glow IDE cables, and two
packages of two blue glow light sticks. They changed the order and
did not send the blue glow fan, but two blue glow light stick packages.
I showered, and I cleaned up. I went by the Greenwich Library, and I read
the Greenwich Time. I checked out the DVD movie "Spider Man".
The Greenwich Library shows movies in their auditorium on Friday nights at 8
P.M., and the current schedule is
Greenwich Library Schedule of Events . I went downtown, and I
walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.
I picked up two new Metro North railroad schedules at the Greenwich Train
station which are good until September 30, 2006, so they should be putting out
new ones soon. I put them on top of the HP LaserJet IID
printer in my apartment living room. During my walk, I stopped by
the ATM machine at Putnam Trust Bank of New York on Mason Street, and I also
stopped by CVS. On a rainy night when one is up at the top of
Greenwich Avenue walking, one can sit out from the rain underneath the
glass canopy at the Pickwick Chase Plaza. Also the Greenwich
Post Office lobby is opened 24 hours if one needs to take shelter.
However, the Greenwich Train station usually closes around 8 P.M. to 9 P.M., and
it is not opened all night. After my walk, I went by the Greenwich
Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station, and I bought $15.01 of premium
unleaded self service gasoline at $3.199 a gallon for 67.7 miles driving this
past week at 14.6 miles per gallon at an average of 14 miles per hour.
I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I bought two packages of slightly old
tomatoes and one package had an orange pepper in it for $1.31 and .86 for $2.17
total. I then returned home briefly, and I went back to the Stop and
Shop, and I bought two three liter containers of Capatriti extra virgin olive
oil for $9.99 each or $13 off each for $19.98 total. With all of the
Italians in Greenwich, Connecticut, the olive oil on sale will not last long.
I chatted with another regular walker, and then I returned home. I put
away my purchases. If one uses an umbrella, it is not too difficult
to walk in the rain. CIO

While the rice was cooking, I took one of the two Angus top round steaks, and I
cut it in half crosswise, and I put the remaining whole steak and the half in a
Rubbermaid container in the refrigerator. I then sliced across the
half of top round steak at a 45 degree angle 3/8th inch thick slices of steak,
and since the original piece was about an inch thick, I cut each strip in half

I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with
olive oil, orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I
washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed.
I showered, and I cleaned up, and I went to my usual 3 P.M. appointment.
I then went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop. They continue to
have clothes on sale. I bought for $7.50 a oak wooden veneer
printer stand with shelf about 20 inches by 14 inches by 10 inches.
I then returned home. I received while out from DHL, the Microsoft
Vista RC1 DVD disks for X84 and 64 bit. I put them in the new printer
stand. I also received the replacement power supply from
www.geeks.com, so I now have three spare
power supplies. I put it with the other power supplies on top of the oak
bookcase on top of the mahogany bureau in the bedroom. I had a
telephone call from a relative, and a relative whom had minor surgery today is
back at the relative's house recuperating. I installed the wooden
printer stand on top of the breakfast tray on the living room dining table with
the Lexmark X85 and Sharp fax machines sitting on top of it. I put
the spare laser paper in the new printer stand. It makes the dining
table work area look neater. I put the Life magazine and KLM books
and the Britannica books that were supporting them before back in the hallway
bookcases. I also put my recent notes printout in the hallway bookcase
with the other notes. The new surge protector is 3240 joules with
$25,000 warranty protection, so I installed it on the primary computer system
where the ITW-SP6 surge protector was which was only about 1100 joules.
I also connected the telephone lead line for the primary computer to the new
surge protector, but I keep its end available on the keyboard, but I do not
leave it plugged into the primary computer. I also have the cable
modem line plugged into the surge protector that I got at
www.costco.com which is behind the green
living room couch. I left the new surge protector packaging on the back of
the down sofa for now. I have three available sockets left opened on
the new surge protector. I hooked up the ITW-SP6 surge protector to
the bedroom system computer control panels, so the bedroom computers now have
surge protection. I figured out on the Orion television in the
bedroom, its remote control needs to have the TV button on the lower left of the
remote pressed, so the channel features work on the bedroom Orion television.
Sometimes in the dark, I press a button on the Orion remote, and it messes up
the channel selection feature. Thus it works just fine now.
I leant a neighbor a package of cigarettes. CIO

A.M.: I installed the Windows Updates on the primary and server computers.
I ate the last of the chips crumbs in the bag of K.C. Master Piece Barbeque
potato chips. We really are not red necks here, it is just that we
watch so much red neck television broadcast around America that we imitate the
characters on television. The rich Texans always suffer from media
neglect, so they buy up media companies and broadcast their own content to the
rest of the country, and the younger generation watching it all from generation
to generation tend to imitate it. Basically we are bunch of stodgy
middle aged New England preppies whom have seen it all, and are taught the
simple virtues of simplistic New England life versus the more upscale Manhattan
life styles. Basically when one does not like crowds or too much
automobile traffic, there is really no reason to venture into Manhattan, but as
the suburbs expanded we have so many people trying to get through our small town
coming and going to Manhattan from points east of here, it can be busy at rush
hour. Basically the only people that count in Greenwich, Connecticut
are the Vanderbilts and the Rockefellers in that order, and the rest tend to be
redundant. Between those two families they have so many worldwide
connections, it tends to keep the town busy all of the time. As any
fool knows a lot of family names are not used particularly when the women use
their husbands last names. However, reflecting the economic
prosperity of this country for the last 400 years, I think a great many of the
local families will continue to survive, since they know how to manage their
family finances and do not attempt to lead extravagant lifestyles, and since
they have had ample fortunes for so long, they really do not need to make many
further investments in new ventures, since they frequently already own many of
the new ventures, they are unaware of. The wiser long term residents
seem to be content to maintain the status quo, since Greenwich, Connecticut is a
very expensive town to maintain, and from a four seasons basis, a lot of other
families have managed to survive off the other two families' mentioned
prosperity. When individuals from these two families travel, they
tend to take a lot of their staff with them as the come and go in their various
migration patterns. Since they tend to know most everyone they are
interested in, the world of politics does not really tend to interest them too
much, and from what I can tell most of them tend to be more interested in the
Wall Street Journal as opposed to Foreign Affairs. Well, I will now
shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon. CIO

A.M.: I went out after the last message. I went
downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train
station area. I sat out at various locations.
Somebody has discarded a slightly used pair of orange flower pattern women's
shoes at the north bench at the veterans monument on Greenwich Avenue.
After my walk, I drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. A
couple of the regular fishermen were on Steamboat Road. I next went
by the Food Emporium, and I bought two 59 ounce carafes of Tropicana orange
juice with calcium for $2.50 each, a gallon of America's Choice vinegar for
$1.99, fresh Dole bananas at .69 a pound for $1.32, a two pack of Angus Top
Round London Broil steaks for $1.88 a pound for $14.21 total. The
good news on the Food front is that I received notification from the state of
Connecticut today, they are increasing my monthly food stamp allowance from $99
to $122 a month. I guess the government finally figured out that
food is getting more expensive, and most of the time, I only buy the sale items.
I mentioned to the regular Food Emporium night manager that when Huntington
Hartford owned the A&P
A&P Supermarket
supermarket chain, he build the Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas, and the
A&P food store chain had so many warehouses in such tropical locations as Key
West, Florida and around the world that they changed a lot of their warehouse
locations into tropical resorts called the
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts - Luxury Hotels and Resorts .
Thus although Huntington Hartford sold off the A&P food chain, he probably has
other investments in their old real estate empire including a lot of real estate
in Manhattan. I know he use to own a lot of Columbus Circle in
Manhattan where

nearby where the lives on East 30th street in Manhattan, so he does not have far
to walk to the grocery store. I have heard he has been seen pushing
a grocery cart around Manhattan. Of course nobody notices older
people. When we first moved to Greenwich, Connecticut back in 1961,
I recall Huntington Hartford brought his yacht out from Manhattan to the local
Indian Harbor Yacht to take my parents for a cruise, so I figured he was
somebody important, and when in Manhattan, I tried to keep an eye out for any of
his friends. CIO

09/13/06 Wednesday 8:25
P.M.: I watched some television after the last message.
I watched a vintage turner movie about Czar Alexander of Russia defeating the
German invaders. They keep broadcasting a line of print saying that
I am going to need a cable box to get the Turner movie channel on my bedroom
television which is cable ready, so I guess I will have to watch it in the
living room television with a cable box. Of course on a cold
winter's night it is always fun watching a vintage movie in bed snuggled up
under the blankets. Perhaps this winter during a blizzard, they will
show Dr. Zhivago which is one of the original movies they use to show on the
original Manhattan cablevision system during sub zero degree nights Fahrenheit.
With the cooler weather this fall, I think we will have a colder winter.
Of course this says, it will be about the same
The Old Farmer's Almanac -
2007 Northeast Long-Range Weather Forecast and Prediction . I
ate the last 9.5 ounce can of Planter's bit and pieces and halves of cashew
nuts. I woke up at 8 A.M.,
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I chatted
with a relative twice and two friends, and I left another friend a message.
I went back to bed about 10:30 A.M., and I slept until 3:30 P.M.. I
went out without cleaning up. I went by Putnam Trust Bank of New
York on Mason Street. They are reconstructing their lobby, so the
teller lobby area is smaller with more walled in office space, I guess to save
on the energy of temperature control in the lobby. It seems to be a
good idea to have smaller lobbies anymore with the higher prices of energy.
I chatted with the local peace demonstrator, and only one person besides himself
showed up at the local peace demonstration today, so I guess it was not widely
advertised. I then went by Radio Shack in Cos Cob, and I bought two
silver oxide #377, 23-204 watch and calculator batteries for $3.99 each
and a #357, 23-105 for $3.99 plus .72 tax for $12.69 total. I
then returned home, and I used the folding cart from the back of my station
wagon, and I brought up the set of four solid oak folding tables that I decided
not to give to the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop, and since I do not have room
to store them in the stand, I put two underneath the down sofa in the living
room, one behind the French reproduction chair, and one behind the bedroom door.
I put their stand in the false ceiling above the apartment entrance.
I put the Backgammon game from underneath the sofa underneath the chair in front
of the stereo system, and I put the vinyl file box on top of the left hallway
bookcase. I put the one #377 watch battery in the Swiss Army Navy
watch, and I put its rear cover back on. One has to line up the cover with
the stem. I set it to the proper time. I then adjusted
the metal band to the smallest setting, so it fits my wrist. One has
to use a needle to compress the toilet paper type holder mounting pins in, and
then a small screw driver to recompress them back in at the smaller wrist
setting. Thus the Swiss Army Navy watch now fits me and works.
I stored the spare #377 watch battery in my top left living room desk drawer.
I put the #357 battery in the small LCD clock I keep on my left monitor, and I
set its time. I put the folding cart back in the car, and I brought
up my mail. I get all sorts of credit card promotions, and I always
shred them including the fake credit cards. I chatted with two
relatives and a friend for a while. I will now reheat the remaining
defrosted French vegetable beef stew, and I will eat it with a glass of iced
tea. CIO

a large #357 watch battery for my small LCD clock I keep on my left monitor.
I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.

www.llbean.com polar fleece in large
size. They also gave me four large pillow cases and a set of large
sheets, so I have a spare set of linens for the bed in the bedroom. I put
them in the lower Rubbemaid laundry bin in the bedroom. Earlier this
afternoon, I put two new alkaline batteries in the Oregon Scientific weather
station sending unit outside the living room right window, and four more new
ones in the base station on the HP LaserJet IID printer on the dining table, so
the weather station should be set for winter. I also reprogrammed
it. I went outside briefly. I decided that the recliner
should have a piece of cloth on the upper back of it to prevent hair oil from
rubbing off on the recliner, so I found a pink and green flower pattern cloth

drinking orange juice and eating bananas because the fructose acid is causing
decay. I usually have those items for breakfast, but I do not always
brush after breakfast if I am not going out. I then went by the
Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop, and I bought an
www.ethanallen.com Queen Anne Style
recliner like this
Recliners in very good condition almost like new about 10 years old with a
polyester French brocade fabric in a cranberry pattern color for $75.
They helped me load it into the back of my station wagon. I then
returned home. I used the folding cart I keep in the back of my
station wagon to bring it up to my apartment. I removed one of the
three mahogany and purple fabric office chairs from the sofa area facing the
television, and I installed the new Ethan Allen recliner at that location.
I chatted with a relative whom said they would be paying a visit in a half hour.
I put the old office chair in the back of my station. I went by
Putnam Trust Bank of New York on West Putnam Avenue. I returned
home, and I waited for my relatives. Three of my relatives stopped
by to visit while they were traveling. We had a short visit, and I
showed one of my relatives my apartment. I am back to flying the
British and Dutch flags in the apartment for now. After my relative
left, I took the office chair to the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, and I
donated it. I then returned home, and I removed the set of four oak
folding tables from the far side of the brass and glass coffee table, and I slid
the brass and glass coffee table a foot further towards the far wall, so the
recliner has plenty of room to fully recline if one chose to do so. For it
to recline fully one needs to have the computer swivel chair turned with its
back to the server, so there is enough space. I put the folding oak
tables in the back of the station wagon, and I will donate them to the Greenwich
Hospital Thrift Shop. One of my neighbors gave me a Swiss Army
quartz watch with silver plate that needs a battery and also a Swiss Army pen.
I chatted with my relatives while they were traveling. Pictures

A.M.: I did some routine internet work. I have to get up
about 9 A.M. today, so I will now shut down the primary computer, and I will go
to bed soon. I keep track of items in my apartment, and for some reason I
was off four packs of cigarettes, which leads me to believe that somebody might
have gained entrance to my apartment. I might occasionally be off one or
two packs, but not four packs. For them to gain access to my apartment,
they would have to defeat the motion detection web cam, which I always put on
when I go out. It shows there might be somebody around too cleaver
for their own good. I always worry that when things like that
happen, they could be tampering with my food or drink. I guess I
will have to be more vigilant. CIO

A.M.: I chatted with a relative. I think I finally
figured out where Frederick Von Mierers

was really from. Like all people we give ourselves away by our
habits, not by our bull shit. When I worked and lived around Fred
Von Mierers, he had one habit I thought was unusual. He ate large
amounts of bulk almonds from health food stores. Since Modesto,
California
City of Modesto, California

from the area around there, as opposed to the stories he told us back east.
I chatted with a relative out in California, and that fact came back to me.

P.M.: Dinner was delicious, but as usual when one is the cook, one tends
to eat it too fast. The frozen French stew should be very healthy later on
when it gets colder. I went outside, and I threw out the garbage
along with the onion peels, since they tend to stink up the apartment, as if the
smell of garlic and onions cooking had not already done so.
Unfortunately I have a dental checkup tomorrow at 12:45 P.M., so I am not how
sure the dental clinic is going to feel about my breath. Maybe they
should use a French hygienist and dentist. About this time one has to
remember to get one's flu shots in October, and seniors need to have a pneumonia
shot every five years. I heard on Cspan last week that the new United
States Government health plan that will be in effect when the baby boom
generation retires will cost the United States Government $40 trillion dollars
in unfunded financial obligations. Also as the baby boom generation
retires and many move down south, Florida and southern retirement areas will get
more crowded and more expensive, but by the same token the northern areas will
be less populated and less prosperous. Thus more than likely in four
years when the baby boom generation starts retiring this area will start seeing
a population decrease. I will now go through my email.

P.M.: I woke up during the night, and I ate a 9.5 ounce can of
Planters bits and halves of cashew pieces. I woke up at 1 P.M. this
afternoon.
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I made my
bed, and I washed the breakfast dishes. I showered, and I cleaned
up. I went out to my 4 P.M. appointment. I noticed
at the Greenwich Town Hall that Channel 12 Connecticut news was covering the
"911" memorial service. The also have a very nice flower garden display at
the front of the town hall. The fallen tree is still there.
I then went over to Greenwich Avenue, and I walked the entire length of
Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat out at various
locations. I toured CVS. I chatted with some local
citizens. I then drove down by the waterfront, and I returned home.
I brought up the mail. I decided to make a large batch of French
beef vegetable stew. I defrosted one of the three 12 ounce
boneless rib eye steaks that I had in the freezer. I defrosted
in the General Electric microwave oven on the defrost cycle per instructions.
I then chopped it into .75 inch square chunks. I then put in a few
tablespoons of olive in a 10 inch diameter frying pan and a couple cloves of
chopped garlic, and I browned the beef chunks on medium high lowering to medium
for a few minutes. I then put about 8 tablespoons of olive oil in a
large several gallon cooking pot with lid, and I put in the browned beef with
juices and a 15 ounce can of Swanson's chicken broth. I left it all
on the same burner on medium heat. I then peeled the rest of the
bulb of small garlic, and I minced it, and I put it in the pot. I
then peeled and diced 2.5 large onions, and I put them in the pot. I
put in a one pound of small baby carrots. I added two pounds of 1.5
inch long sliced on an angle fresh asparagus removing the hard inch or two from
the stalk ends. I added about .75 pounds of chopped broccoli
crowns. I added 1.5 drained 6 ounce cans of large pitted olives.
I added a 15 ounce can of chic peas. I cut the corn off the cob off a
large ear of sweet corn and added it. I added 8 ounces of Rene Junot
white table wine. I season it all with large dashes to taste of
garlic powder, Italian seasoning, celery salt, ground black pepper, oregano,
parsley, six beef bouillon cubes and chicken and meat seasoning. I
kept stirring it all together, until it was boiling. I then simmered
it with lid on medium electric burner heat for a half hour and then on low
electric burner heat for 45 minutes. It should be all done by now.
I will eat a large bowl of it in the large Cobalt blue soup bowl with iced tea.
I will refrigerate one third in a large Rubbermaid container, and I will put the
other two thirds in two large Rubbermaid containers in the freezer. Makes
8 one cup servings. CIO

Electric microwave oven reheat cycle, and three vegetable cycles. I
put it in a soup bowl, and I ate it with a glass of iced tea. I had
a friend call from Binghamton, New York today, and since he is connected up with
Queen Victoria's crowd whom first invented a steam engine driven computer, he
thinks Binghamton is as economically depressed area. It one looks at
www.cityofbinghamton.com and
www.cityofbinghamton.com/history.asp , one will fine some interesting
history about how it is sort of connected with
www.ibm.com . I guess some of the local conservationists did not
want too much business activity in their area, so they spread out some of their
offices elsewhere. Since my stepfather was a life long friend of the
Watson family, and since my mother helps me in my computer efforts, technically
this might be the IBM office in Greenwich, Connecticut, since nobody else seems
to be willing to run one here and advertise it. Alas, I think the
only IBM equipment in my apartment is six socket outlet converter in the
kitchen. The IBM Netvista is in Kennebunkport, Maine at a family
summer residence, and I gave the old IBM 24 pin printer to the Greenwich
Hospital Thrift shop. I also once had an IBM Laser Printer, but I
think I had technical problems with it, and I tried to fix, and it did not work,
so I gave it to the dumpster. However, I do have three HP laser
printers in my apartment, two Minolta laser printers, and one Lexmark laser
printer, all of which are in very good working condition. IBM used
to own Lexmark, so perhaps some of the local people here still own stock in
Lexmark. Since I work on computers all of the time in my free time,
I technically would be what they call in the computer business a Systems Analyst
Systems Analyst . However, I have broadened my free time job
description to "CIO", which in the computer business means "Chief Information

A.M.: I ate a couple of bowls of K.C. Masterpiece Barbeque potato
chips with some iced tea before going to bed. I had a telephone call
from a relative yesterday whom is getting ready to travel. I
woke up about 3 P.M..
I ate breakfast of oatmeal with a sliced banana, a toasted bagel with olive oil,
orange juice with vitamins and supplements, and coffee. I chatted
with a friend, and I chatted with a relative. I made my bed,
and I washed the breakfast dishes. I watched a bit of
television. I went out, and I went downtown, and I walked the
entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area. I sat
out at various locations. On the way up Greenwich Avenue, I stopped
by CVS, and I bought two 33.8 ounce bottles of CVS Professional Oral Rinse
Alcohol Free blue mouth wash for $2.50 each, two 9.5 cans of Cashew nuts halves
and pieces for $4.99 both, and a 12 pack of Thomas' English muffins for $1.99
plus .30 tax for $12.28 total. I then completed my walk.
Not much seemed to be happening downtown on Greenwich Avenue this past evening.
I sat out for a while, and I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I tried
to give one of their employees some business tips, but he was not interested,
and said I was being rude for interrupting his conversation with another
employee. I think that employee comes from a cattle ranch in New
Mexico, so more than likely he should be working at
Welcome to McDonald's , but nobody ever
takes business advise in this community anyway. Possibly all the
extra security Starbucks gets from being near the Greenwich Police department
has its advantages, but from what I can tell, the police do not buy coffee at
Starbucks, and not many people steal cups of coffee. I then
drove down by the waterfront, and I chatted with a former Japanese neighbor whom
likes drinking
Budweiser on
the waterfront. He must have good business sense, since he seems to
be prospering. I then decided to be extravagant, since there were so
few people downtown, I drove along the waterfront to the
Hyatt Regency
Greenwich . You can park there for free, if you stay less than
hour. I toured the hotel, and it is up to their usual high
standards. They have an ATM machine in two different Asian
languages, so they must get quite a few Asian guests. Last I
heard it was half owned by the Japanese. I then went by CVS at the
Riverside Shopping plaza, and I bought an RTH blue or black light 25 watt party
bulb for .50, a 6 ounce bag of Gardettos snack mix for $1 and a discount $10
East Coast Co. large fashion tote with phone case made in China for a $1 plus
.09 tax for $2.58 total. I then ate the package of snacks outside
the Food Emporium on the bench in front. I then bought fresh
asparagus at the Food Emporium for $1.29 a pound for $2.58. I then
returned to central Greenwich, and I walked lower Greenwich Avenue and the train
station area again. I chatted with a neighbor enjoying the Sunday
night entertainment at the Thataway cafe. I chatted with another
local person about the weather recently. Our most regular visitor to
the Greenwich Avenue veterans monument besides myself has left the area for the
last couple of months to try to start a religious ministry at the Angola prison
in Louisiana. He must be successful, because I have not seen him
back. I then returned home. I put the blue bulb in the
oil style lamp underneath granddad Boven's portrait in the corner between both
computers. I have it set to turn on with the computer control
panel light switch and the old antique light on top of the primary monitor now
turns on with the power strip switch. I had a telephone call from a
friend. I hung the new tote bag from the apartment door handle with the
other tote bags. CIO
End of Scott's Notes
week of 09/10/06:
Note:<888>
09/10/06 Sunday 4:45
A.M.: In terms of media coverage, I happen to know quite a few
democratic politicians also. I would imagine the most prominent one
that I recall having met was
W. Averell Harriman -
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , and my roommate in college at
www.lfc.edu was Robert Wagner's
Robert F. Wagner,
Jr. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia stepson whose real father was Bennett
Cerf
Bennett Cerf -
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, and Robert Wagner Jr. also attended
Taft. Basically, since I do not really like crowds, I spend most of
my time on a night schedule, or I tend to be on more of a day schedule, when it
is less busy or when I am some place that is less populated. I
recall seeing a younger New York politician around last Sunday morning about 9
A.M. walking his Golden Retriever on Greenwich Avenue, which I though was
quaint, since I have seen him many times at night, but hardly ever in the day
time. From what I can tell, although he is not popular in New York
politics, he might out live his competition, since besides having money, he
seems to know if you are thin, you have a better chance of living longer, and
since his family live on the ocean and since they are suppose to be wealthy, he
obviously eats a lot of sea food. However, if one is thin enough to
blow away in the wind, in the real world of national politics in the United
States of America, over half the country tends to be over weight, so when a
skinny person shows up, they figure he was the only politician that could fit
into an economy airline seat. For all I know he is campaigning
around America on a bicycle. Unfortunately when one gets away from
the media attention paid to national politics, most of the real politics in
America is done at the local level. Most people ignore me, because
most of the candidates that I have supported have already won, and it is pretty
much yesterday's news. Since the United States of America and the
baby boom generation is graying faster than ever, most people are concerned
about health care and social security issues, and that baby boom generation
obviously has a lot of influence. Obviously having worked all of
their lives, they are obviously concerned with homeland security, but different
individuals have different viewpoints as to how far that should extend.
Obviously the people in the less densely populated interior of the country have
different viewpoints than the viewpoints along the heavily populated shores of
both oceans. In the last president election, the majority went to
the vast majority of people in the interior the country, and the more vocal
individuals along the coasts seem to have lost. Obviously the people
along the coasts spend half of their time chatting with the fish as opposed to
networking with the larger group of people in the rest of the country.
In other words, they really only have one foot in America at this stage, and
they are still keeping an eye on their old homelands in case there is
opportunity to go back and succeed where they once left. From what I can
tell, only the media companies are making money off the political contests, so
if one is not interested in any of them, one can always ditch one's media
subscriptions and pursue other recreation. Most established people
with money, do not deal with the government directly, but they can afford to
hire lawyers to deal with the government, and that usually gets the matter
settled. From what I can tell, the main reason that a lot of the
people are not friendly on main street anymore is that it costs too much to get
there just to hang out only to be ignored. We obviously have good
communications in this country, so if people want to communicate they need to
use communications equipment. Usually people hanging out on main
street are trying to sell people with money some product or service.
Unfortunately the two primary businesses in Greenwich, Connecticut are real
estate and automobiles in that order, so if you do not need a new house or car,
you might as well ignore main street. Obviously people in this town
can afford to buy whatever clothes they might need whenever they need them, so
more than likely the fashion crowd is trying get attention for their own profit.
Since a lot of ordinary United States citizens work around their homes, they
frequently do not feel the need to dress up when they are going about their
ordinary chores. In other words, people do not need to wear a suit
to the grocery store to buy a bottle of ketchup, unless maybe they happen to
sell suits. Since a lot of people in this country are working most
of the time, they frequently do what is most practical and not what is dictated
by the media. I will now send out my weekly notes. I
will then shut down the primary computer, and I will go to bed soon.

09/10/06 Sunday 3:35
A.M.: I put the laundry away. I ate two scoops of
peaches and cream ice cream. I will go through my email
shortly. Apparently, we do not get as much email on weekends in the
United States of America, because a lot of people work day jobs just on week
days, so they are not available to send it out. However, if one were
a cleaver marketer, one would know that people have more time to read email on
weekends, and they have more time to spend money on weekends. I was
thinking that since I live on the poor side of town in public housing in Byram,
Connecticut that has the same zip code as upscale Belle Haven nearby, we could
be more politically active in terms of the local economy. Since
Venezuela is a communist country with 80 billion barrels of oil in reserve, we
could change the name from Vinci Drive to Venezuela drive and cater to any
wealthy communists from Venezuela whom might be in the area, but alas not many
of our current residents speak Spanish. However, I do know people
from Venezuela, and I also know Germans that have lived in Venezuela when they
worked for the Rockefeller family on their ranch there, so possibly there is a
chance we could improve our local economic outlook. However, we
could pretend to be capitalists, but it is the nature of the Greenwich Housing
Authority that they restricts the residents to low income residents.
Thus I doubt is they will be calling this "Rue de Rockefeller", but from what I
know Vinci was the name of a local pharmacist in Byram, who was active in the
area. The name of the street is Vinci Drive, but the name of the
development is McKinney Terrace named after
Stewart McKinney -
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . I have see some of his
relatives visit here, but nobody ever seems to notice them too much.
As I recall his wife has red hair. Also I attended his funeral up at
the Congregational Church in Southport, Connecticut with the entire United
States congress including then current President Bush or prisoner number 41
George H. W. Bush -
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia as they call him. Thus it
would be short sighted of the local democrats living here in low income housing
to think that there are not an equal number of poorer republicans whom could
also live here if they so chose to do so and wait in line at the Greenwich
Housing Authority. However, the reality is the United States of
America and North America are pretty large land masses, so once one gets out of
the pricey New York area, real estate tends to be dirt cheap. Since
the republican party members in Greenwich, Connecticut happen to pay more than
the Lion's share of taxes in this community, I would dare say, they have a bit
of influence as to what happens at this particular project and with the town
locally. Every republican in the United States of America knows that
most of the Rockefellers are Republican except for a few odd birds in the family
whom repelled against their father's wishes. Since I went to a
school named after republican president
Biography of
William Howard Taft at
The Taft
School , I probably went to school with few republicans whom also
happen to be lawyers and even judges. I do know one classmate is an
African American Federal Judge in Washington D.C.. that also attended
Harvard
www.harvard.edu .
However, the wealthiest alumnus was probably from Greenwich, Connecticut
James Stillman
Rockefeller - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia thus he might have one or two
kin folk in the area that might also have gone to Taft. I even saw
somebody downtown in Greenwich, Connecticut tonight from Manhattan having dinner
at the Figaro French restaurant that looks quite a bit like President Taft.
There are fat prosperous people in the area that one rarely sees in public,
since they tend to be working most of the time, unlike the Starbucks crowd whom
spend most of their time being coffee shop philosophers. CIO
Note:<888>
09/10/06 Sunday 1:30
A.M.: I went out after the last message. I went by the
Food Emporium which seems to be able to afford to keep the lights on late until
about midnight, and I bought 3 pounds of yellow onions for $2.49, a bulb of
garlic at $3.49 a pound for .56 and a 6 ounce jar of Gold's Hot Horse Radish for
$1.59 for $4.64 total. I tried to cheer up the staff, since
with the higher price of fuel, there are not that many late night customers
randomly shopping late at night anymore. I speculated my old friend
James Edward Eldert from where ever he is really from besides leading a
bicoastal existence on both coasts of America might be the heir to Twinings tea,
since he once worked shoveling horse manure at Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham
estate, so he must also know something about horses. That reminded
me that I needed to get some
Twinings
of London - 300 years of expertise tea some of which was on sale for $2.50 a
box of 20 individual serving bags, so I bought 20 bag boxes of Twinings
Darjeeling tea, Prince of Wales tea, Indian Spiced Chai tea, Ceylon tea
and China Oolong tea for $2.50 each and a box of 25 bags of Twinings Mary
Twining Spiced tea for $3.49 for $15.99 total. Thus I have a little
tea in reserve for when I make up my batches of
http://mikelouisscott.com/icetea.htm . I then went downtown, and

if he had read the book "Old Yeller"

P.M.: I chatted with a relative. I went outside,
and I chatted with some neighbors. There are a lot of horse flies
coming out of our dumpster, so somebody threw something away that is generating
a lot of horse flies. I picked up my mail. I chatted
with my neighbors about Chicago, Illinois, and this is a quick summary of the
population mix of Chicago, Illinois
Demographics of
Chicago - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . Although Chicago,
Illinois is well advertised worldwide by their Italian citizens in organized
crime whom seem to have connections in the media business, realistically the
overall Italian population of Chicago according to
Italian American:
Information From Answers.com and
Italians
, Italians only make up about 3% of the population of Chicago, so thus I dare
say they have a little bit of problem throwing their political weight around,
not to mention it is so cold in Chicago, Illinois, the Italians are not always
to comfortable in the colder weather. After chatting with my
neighbors, I
made up a batch of
Michael Louis Scott's Pork
and Beans with franks . I used a 16 ounce can of B&M baked beans
Maple flavor and two Ball Park all beef hotdogs that I cut on an angle into half
inch thick slices, one half of a diced and peeled medium onion, and also a
little bit of soy sauce and the other seasonings in the recipe. I ate it
all with a glass of iced tea.

P.M.: I put out two more 500 sheet packages of laser printer paper in the
printer stand between the primary computer and the server to have
available for use in the future. I think I still have about five
left underneath the television cabinet for a total of 7 left. I got
them around last New Years when they were on sale at
www.staples.com . It is the better
ultra bite 93 laser paper in the blue and yellow packaging.
I used two Staples Clamp binders for the printout that I had in reserve, and I
only have one left, but I could always use one of the other ones that hold other
printouts. Thus I will have to get some more before I print out the
next set of notes around New Years 2007. We might have Bermuda
refugees in the area with the tropical storm activity around Bermuda
Tropical Storm FLORENCE Coastal Watches/Warnings and 3-Day Cone .
Thus one should keep a close eye out for any Bermuda types. They
usually wear Bermuda shorts and dress shoes with dark knee socks and blue
blazers with dress shirts and a tie. They are a more formal group.
For all I know some ancient royalty from England is around like "Lord Tightwad
from Bermuda" . Of course Bermuda as an off shore tax haven has
50,000 registered companies in Bermuda, and it also has the second largest
Reinsurance Company in the World, so although it is not a Military Super Power,
it does have a bit of financial influence in the world markets. I
have only visited Bermuda once back in April 1968 during my spring break from
the Taft School
The Taft School
in Watertown, Connecticut. I recall I had a three week holiday
there. I stayed with three Taft Classmates and four people we teamed
up with from the Middlesex boys school in Concord, Massachusetts, and as I
recall we stayed at the Glendon Guest House which was an inexpensive guest
cottage halfway between Elbow Beach and Hamilton. However, we
managed to have several hundred guests for "High Tea" every day, so we met a lot
of people, and as I recall that was when I first met George Cary whom had gone
to the Brooks school coming out of East Aurora, New York. We had a
mutual friend that we drank with named Wadie Watson, and I never did make to the
St. George's golf club for a round of golf, although he kept inviting me over
there every day to play some golf. We did make it to the Rugby
matches and enjoyed drinking Heineken
http://www.heineken.com on the sidelines. As I recall a family
friend was the United States of America consul to Bermuda for a great many
years, and as I recall Bermuda is a bit expensive, so we had to rough it a bit.
I flew there on B.O.A.C., better known in the old days as the British Overseas
Airlines Corporation, but as I recall I might have come back on Pan Am, but I do
not really recall. Apparently property has gotten so expensive in
Bermuda anymore that one can not buy it anymore, and one can only inherit it
anymore, providing one has a relative with property on Bermuda.
Other of my relatives have visited and lived in Bermuda, and I bought a
print of Hamilton Harbor at the Old Greenwich Rummage Room Thrift Shop for $3 a
number of years ago, and I gave it to my relative in Kennebunkport, Maine, and
the relative had it reframed, and it is now on display in the house there.
I might still have some old sweaters from

have been visited by a few moths over the years. CIO

I also said that I spent about 10 years walking around Manhattan before I moved

eggs, and I added a couple tablespoons of milk, a tablespoon of grated parmesan
cheese, a teaspoon of olive oil, and about a half teaspoon of Italian spices,
and I whisked it all together. I then put a couple tablespoons
of olive oil in a 10 inch stick proof frying pan, and I heated it in
medium high electric burner heat, and once the fat began to bubble, I started
the bacon in the microwave, and I started toasting two pieces of bread, and I
added the egg mixture to the frying pan. I cooked the eggs for about
five minutes, until they were softly scrambled lowing the heat halfway through
the process to medium. I put a little bit of olive oil on the toast,

I emptied the paper shredder, and I lubricated it by putting a small amount of

lubrication oil is just vegetable oil, so one could put a little bit of
vegetable oil or cooking oil on a sheet of paper and get the same result.

P.M.: I chatted with an older
relative whom had a fall, but seems to be all right and did not do any serious
damage to herself. Since I live in a retirement home, I know my
neighbors seem to have a policy of checking up on their neighbors to make sure
they are all right. Of course my next door neighbor back in early
July 2006 was found dead in her bath tub, so that sort of policy does not always
work. The previous next door neighbor fell in the bath tub, and was
all by herself with a broken hip for three days during a holiday period.
Since I am frequently on a night schedule, I am not in a position to check on my
elderly neighbors all the time, but other tenants in the building do so.
I went outside, and it seems a skunk has let loose in the rear side of the
building facing the ice skating rink, so our area of the building has an
unpleasant smell at the moment. The skunk problem is even worse down
on Steamboat Road in Greenwich and in Belle Haven, and there use to be a family
of skunks living in the bushes by the Senior and the Arts center, but recently
the skunk population has been down, since there has been a great horned owl in
the area that eats them. Tomato juice is suppose to get rid of skunk
odor if one is sprayed by them. The Greenwich and Fairfield County Yellow
books were delivered, and they were left in the anti way of the building front
entrance, so I moved them into the building lobby. I brought up a
copy of each to my apartment. I threw out the old copy of the
Fairfield County yellow book along with my bathroom garbage and the old
periodical literature and waste paper and old computer magazines.

Town Hall, and I noticed on the north side of the front lawn, the large old free
about four feet in diameter had fallen down breaking about five feet above its
base falling from north to south in front of the town hall.
It is probably about a 70 foot tall tree. I then went by the
Greenwich Automotive Services Exxon gasoline station next to the Greenwich
Library, and I bought $8 of premium unleaded gasoline at $3.459 a gallon for
24.3 miles driving at an average of 12 miles per gallon at an average of 10
miles per hour this past week. My 3 P.M. appointment was

in White Plains, New York, but it is a wrong telephone number.
InBev.com supposedly owns Becks now.
InBev USA information and related industry information from Hoover's says
they are now in Norwalk, Connecticut, so if you want a German beer you have to
go to Norwalk, Connecticut, but I have some old generic German beer in my
refrigerator, and usually nearby the Port Chester, New York beer distributor
might have a German beer or two. I guess InBev is a pretty big beer
manufacturer worldwide. Of course beer and Mercedes Benz usually do

P.M.: I took a nap. Nothing much happening on the
television. Frequently in Greenwich, Connecticut on weekends and
holidays, when the Greenwich Police are not routinely patrolling Greenwich
Avenue, we get a lot of Russian mafia types working the town for what ever
purposes they might have in working this town. Frequently on Sunday
evenings particularly in the winter there are a lot of Russians walking around
the town. Whether they actually live here or drive from other
areas nearby is hard to figure out. I do know that frequently on
Greenwich Avenue, English is not the most common language. Since I
do not recognize the other northern European languages or know them, it is hard
to tell where they are all from. Usually the Danish are the most
friendly and seem to know English, but as for the rest of them, it is hard to
tell where they are all from. Since we are an international town,
more than likely some of them have some sort of legitimate purpose in being
here, but since I do not know their languages, I just maintain my normal routine
based on the experience I have in this area knowing English since 1961.
Whatever the case, they more than likely are working some sort of New Age
European Agenda based on their experience back in Europe. Since over
a hundred thousand to a half million people are beta testing the Microsoft Vista
beta product, I do not think they are trying to steal it from me, but more than
likely they might be up to other purposes depending on what their previous
programming was before they came here. It is logical with all of the
German cars in this area, we might have one or two Germans here, but although I
might look a bit German, I only know a few words of German, so if I need a
translator, I guess I might check with our local Mercedes Benz dealership, but
when I checked in with them about 15 years ago, nobody there spoke German, when
I gave them a copy of a Borland Spread sheet program in German. I
can assure you that Frederick Von Mierers
http://mikelouisscott.com/fred.htm
does speak German, if he is possibly still alive, and since he lived with the
Krump family of Germany, more than likely some of the Germans that he knows are
somewhat established. We used to drink a lot of Becks beer in
Manhattan, when we hung out around Fred's friends in the old days, but alas I
think Becks beer has moved out of Greenwich, Connecticut.
www.becksbeer.com has an email form,
where you could probably email them in Germany to find out where they are
located in America. The Germans tend to be a little absent minded
when they drink beer, so when the put up a web site, they forgot such detains as
where their company address is in the United States of America. I do
know years ago, they use to be off West Putnam Avenue in my neighborhood.
Maybe they could take the Hole in the Ground where they were going build
the BMW dealership and build an office there, but I think I saw somewhere
recently that they had moved up to Norwalk, Connecticut, but I can not find any
mention of it on the internet. I guess you could contact the
Germany Online: Information Services: Missions: Consulates: New York: Local
Events as to what happened to Becks Beer, and while they are at it, maybe
they could figure out what happened to Freddie also. CIO

computer area beneath Granddad Boven's portrait, so it does not give off as much
of a glare. I noticed when I was touring the lower level of the
Greenwich Hardware store 70% off rack this past Saturday, they had a Krups
Espresso cappuccino machine on 70% clearance sale. In the 70% off
section, there were also three 5 foot by 3 foot Texas flags, a Mexican one, a
Prisoner of War one, a town of Greenwich one, a United States Coast Guard one, a
United States Navy one, and also a flag of Finland, so take your pick.

now. My automobile registration expires in January 2007, so I will have to
use some of my Renter's Rebate money or Christmas money to renew it when I get

fixes such as disabling various network icons and enabling them; restarting the

uninstalling each of my four network devices and reinstalling them, so I am back
up to 10 mbps. I guess those band width hogs in Champaign Urbana,

system. I moved the Sylvania long life light bulbs to the wicker rack on
top of the HP laser printer on the mahogany bookcase. I moved some
of the books also to the lower shelf beneath the record shelf that had
collapsed. On the upper shelf behind the television, I put the
older phonograph records. I moved the drink mixer bottles from

Herbal shampoo for $1.19 and .07 tax for $1.26 total. As I was
finishing my walk up Greenwich Avenue, I ran into another regular walker, and we
walked back down Greenwich Avenue, and we departed company. I then
used the bathroom at Starbucks. I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I
bought a top eye round roast at $3.99 a pound for $10.57, two 10 ounce Cracker

gallon for 55.6 miles driving this week at 13.6 miles per gallon average driving
around town at an average speed of 13 miles per hour. I then
returned home. I put $15 on my MacGray laundry card, so I now have
$19.65 on it. I picked up my mail. I chatted with some
neighbors. I hung the Scottish flag in front the British Union
Jack flag which is hung in front of the U.S.A. flag on the right side of the
hallway bookcases. Since the Scottish flag is bigger than the other
two flags, I had to put another OOK nail a little further left to secure its
left side, and I had to secure up the bottom foot of the flag with 5 curtain
hooks, since I did not have bobby pins. It looks quite presentable,
and it is easily exchanged with the other two flags underneath it. I
printed out my Microsoft Money monthly expense and income report, and I put a
copy in an envelope to send to a relative. I am charging up the

A.M.: I went out after the last message. I went
downtown, and I chatted with some local citizens. I walked
briefly up Greenwich Avenue and returned with another local citizen.
I then went to my usual Thursday 3 P.M. appointment. I then
returned home. I opened up the new computer case, and I started
configuring it as I have posted here
http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm . The Arrow power supply
did not work, so I had to use my other more expensive spare power supply.
I will have to returned the Arrow power supply to
www.geeks.com for RMA, when I have the time. It was new, and I
had not used it. I got the backup computer system configured with
the Epox motherboard. I had the same problem with the front USB
connectors keeping it from working properly, so I did not use the front case USB
connectors, but I installed the rear USB 2.0 attachment to the motherboard USB
connectors. I connected the two case fans to the motherboard instead
of the case fan monitor. I also did not attach the onboard audio to
the front audio ports, since that might have disabled the rear audio ports.
The Epox computer in the red aluminum case is working just fine. I
had to format, its hard drive and do a MaxBlast utility quick zero format, and
repartition it with MaxBlast, and that seemed to have fixed the problem I had
with the same C: drive in the old Northgate Syntax configuration. I
am now restoring my backup from the Maxtor external hard drive to the Epox
system, and then I will have to configure it with the Epox drivers.
I ate 1/4th of the cheese cake with some cold water. I have
cleaned up my work area in the bedroom. I have the boxes that the
new case came in stacked up on the chair underneath the stereo.
