End of Scott's Notes week of 09/30/12:

Note: <888> 09/30/12 Sunday 4:40 A.M.  I will now send out my weekly notes.  I will then shut down the primary work computer.  I will eat a day old muffin, and I will then go to bed.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/30/12 Sunday 2:40 A.M.  I ordered MENs L.L. BEAN field Jacket BARN Coat flannel lined XXL | eBay for $59.99 and $15 shipping for $74.99 total.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/30/12 Sunday 2:00 A.M.  I have one of these Upland Field Coat with Gore-Tex: Hunting Jackets | Free Shipping at L.L.Bean that I bought for $89 as a clearance item about six years ago in XXL tall.  At $249, they have gone up in price.   I use to walk around New York City in the old days with a jacket like this vtg 50s high quality DUCK CANVAS HUNTING FIELD JACKET talon pocket zip L | eBay , but it is not available in my size right now.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/30/12 Sunday 1:00 A.M.  I noticed today in the seafood counter at the Stop and Shop that they were selling 8 ounce containers of lobster salad for $30.  Considering up in Maine, they are selling whole live lobsters for $4 a pound, there is a big mark up on lobsters between Maine and Greenwich, Connecticut.  Also while I was at T.J.Maxx - Designer & Brand Name Clothing, Accessories and Home Decor at the Maine Mall this past Tuesday, they had Preppy Men’s Clothing, Women’s Clothing and Men’s Silk Ties – Vineyard Vines red rain jackets regularly $300 for $100.  They even had one in XXL, but with arthritis, I do not walk much in the rain.  There is nice T.J. Maxx up on Route 7 in Wilton, Connecticut just north of the Wal-Mart shopping center.  There is a Marshalls - brand name and designer fashion for the entire family near www.costco.com in Port Chester, New York, and another one at the Ridgeway shopping center in Stamford, Connecticut.  I never visit White Plains, New York which is nearby, since although they have a lot of the First Class stores in the country at their first class malls, there is way too much traffic there for me to feel comfortable to drive over there.  Besides, I would not be able to afford to buy anything anyway.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/30/12 Sunday 12:35 A.M.  I got email today from a user who is some place where it will be a 103 degrees Fahrenheit this Monday, but the user did not tell me where he was at.  While walking lower Greenwich Avenue today, I noticed that on lower Greenwich Avenue on the west side, one of the long time businesses, "The Pizza Post" has closed.  Also just to the south of them in the new building just north of the Belgium bakery, there is a new Art Gallery with an exhibit this month on "Horses".  Also I was told by a local observer that the new coffee shop across from CVS called "CFCF" is paying $20,000 a month rent, so they have to sell a lot of coffee and pastries and sandwiches to pay the rent.  They apparently had some zoning problems about seating and the front door that they still have to fix from their original zoning application.  They also have another coffee shop in New York City with another name.   They have a professional coffee roasting machine on the premises, so it is freshly roasted coffee they serve.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/29/12 Saturday 11:55 P.M.  The Windows 8 ninety day demo on the IBM ThinkCentre only has 45 days left to go.  However, although I have it up and running, nobody is rushing to see me demonstrate it, so I guess they are all still hooked Windows XP.  Windows 8 does start up and work quite fast though, and it is suppose to available on October 29, 2012, and will also be offered as an upgrade for a $40 download from Microsoft through January 2013.  However, my beta machines are inexpensive machines, and I will not be putting it on them, since I never use the beta machines except to test beta operating systems.  However, the beta machines are a lot faster than my primary work computer and the FIC server that I do use a lot.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/29/12 Saturday 9:50 P.M.  I drank a cup of coffee with Splenda sweetener and milk.  On the IBM ThinkCentre in front of the mahogany bureau in the living room, when I installed the Windows 8 ninety day demo a month ago on a second partition, it brought up product activation on the primary Windows 7 partition on the primary partition with 30 days to go which expired recently.  I restored the Windows 7 Complete PC backup to its existing location with out repartitioning the hard drive, so Windows 7 and Windows 8 are both on the IBM ThinkCentre, but the boot manager for Windows 8 was not.  I used the Windows 7 DVD to repair the Windows 8 boot manager, but it would not work but was recognized.  I tried using the Windows 8 ninety day demo DVD to repair the Windows 8 boot manager, but under "repair" and "advanced" there was no option to repair the boot manager.  I then used the earlier Windows 8 Consumer Preview DVD, and under "repair" "advance" there is an option to repair the Windows 8 boot manager which worked.  Thus I have both Windows 7 and Windows 8 ninety day demo on the IBM ThinkCentre with Windows 7 activated and Windows 8 with 60 days to go on the configured demo.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/28/12 Friday 11:50 P.M.  Why it is not busy at www.starbucks.com downtown on Greenwich Avenue at night Greenwich Gas Prices – Find Greenwich, Connecticut Gas Stations and Cheap Gas in CT at Automobile Magazine .  Of course there are some urban people and young people whom do not use cars downtown, so they are pretty much oblivious to the higher prices of gasoline.  I remember the Arab oil embargo starting back in 1973, and it was quite convenient to get around, if one could fine a gasoline with fuel to sell.  Of course back then gasoline was less than 50 cents a gallon and $5 would fill up your fuel tank.  New York did not start to recover the Arab oil embargo until the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ opened up an office in 1978 on the northeast corner of 57th street and Park Avenue in Manhattan, and they were paying everyone in cash, so they would not have to pay taxes.  Basically, one learned to keep busy as best one could doing odd jobs and not spending much money.  Of course back then we did not have Cable Television, so we mostly watched the three prime television networks, so we did not really know too much compared today with all of the media we have.  Of course back in Jolly Old England, they have always had fuel shortages, so the masses used more economical transportation and a lot of their cars were very fuel efficient.  The British have never had any need of my services over in England, so I have never been there to add my two cents of wisdom and insight.  I mostly know what I know about England from watching vintage British media, so I am not too up to date on the British if they ever became modern.  I think the Pubs in England have to close at 11 P.M. at night, so they are not a late night group of people.  They do have Casinos and Clubs that stay open later for the Carriage Trade.  More than likely if any British ever show up here, they will probably want a beer, but I think they drink their beer at room temperature.  From what I know it is also colder over there, but they are used to it.  In Manhattan, it is no longer tobacco friend.   On my last trip in Febuary over four years ago, I did noticed that across the street and just south of the Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue, there were metal tables and chairs outside on a patio on the north side of the Welcome to Deutsche Bank USA on the southwest corner, so the Germans are tobacco friendly.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/28/12 Friday 7:00 P.M.  I chatted with a relative.  I uninstalled the Netgear Storage program on the primary work computer and the FIC server.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/28/12 Friday 6:05 P.M.  The McAfee update on the firewall security on the FIC server, now prevents me from transferring files from my primary work computer through the network to the FIC server.  I can manually transfer them with a USB pen drive which is more tedious.  The McAfee firewall does not let me adjust the setting either.  It seems McAfee has changed their firewall setup, and since it automatically installs, one can not keep it from updating the McAfee software.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/28/12 Friday 3:35 P.M.  I had two telephone calls from computer people this morning.  I finally woke up at 2 P.M..  I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and milk and sliced banana, a toasted English muffin with olive oil, a 12 ounce glass of watered down punch, and a cup of coffee with Splenda sweetener and milk.  I washed the breakfast dishes, and I made my bed.

On the primary work computer setup with the Netgear storage device, this past morning I had tried fixing it by restoring the backup from January 19, 2012, but it would not work either, but it also would not install the Windows updates, so I restored the backup from August 28, 2012 which the Netgear Storage device would not work with either.  The Netgear Storage device worked with the primary work computer when I first got back home this past Wednesday evening.  All I can think is that my McAfee firewall when it updates itself blocks the Netgear storage device with its recent updates.  I have the Netgear storage device disabled right now on the primary work computer.  I can try to reinstall it, but it should have worked when I restored the backups.  Since it works with the other computers, I technically could transfer files from the primary work computer over my network to the FIC server and then store them on the Netgear Storage device which works with the FIC server.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/28/12 Friday 7:35 A.M.  The main problem I have been having with the primary work computer this morning and yesterday is that I can not get the Netgear Storage device to work with it, although it works with the other computers on the network.  I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed soon.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/26/12 Wednesday 9:25 P.M.  Yesterday after the last note, I packed and loaded the Audi.  I then took a nap from 2:30 P.M. to 4 P.M..  I went for a drive with a relative along Kennebunk beach, and while sitting out at the west end of the east beach, we chatted with another relative.  We then returned to my relatives' house.  I ate cranberry and bacon and horseradish dip with crackers and watered down orange juice while watch television.  We then drove over the Amtrak train station in Wells, Maine to pick up a relative.  On Route 9 by the bridge just south of the Rachel Carson sanctuary, there is only one lane of traffic alternating with the red and green lights displayed due to construction at that location.  Also on U.S.1 in Wells, Maine from the Maine Diner west to the Fire Station, it is still under construction for road resurfacing.  We picked up my relative at 6:45 P.M.. We then drove back to Kennebunkport.  I rinsed the dirt off my relatives' car from the construction dirt we drove through.  For dinner, I had seven barbecued spare ribs, two ears of sweet corn on the cob with butter,  steamed broccoli crowns with butter, the last piece of four berry pie, and a glass of watered down orange juice.  I cleaned up the kitchen.  I went to bed at 8:30 P.M., and I woke up at 6:30 A.M. this morning.   I ate breakfast of oatmeal with Splenda sweetener and milk and a sliced banana, a English muffin with butter, coffee with milk and Splenda sweetener, watered down orange juice and vitamins and supplements.  I showered, and I cleaned up.   I stripped my bed, and I started the washer to wash the linens and bath towel and bath mat.  I packed the rest of my items.  I said good bye to the www.nytimes.com delivery person.  I also made turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich on Pita bread with Hellmann's mayonnaise to take with me.  I washed the garage ashtrays.  I said good by to my relatives.  I left the house at 8:05 A.M..  I drove through Kennebunkport and north on Route 9 to Kennebunk.  I got on I-95 south in Kennebunk paying a dollar toll.  I paid a $2 toll at the end of the Maine Turnpike and another $2 toll at the New Hampshire turnpike.  I stopped at the Massachusetts welcome center.  I got on I-495 west, and I stopped at the Lowell rest area.  I got on I-290 west, and I got off at the second Massachusetts turnpike exit after Worcester.  I stopped at the Charlton rest area, and I ate my sandwich.  I chatted with a relative on my wireless telephone.  I bought $26.01 of self service premium Gulf gasoline at $4.259 a gallon for 6.106 gallons at odometer reading of 71242 miles for 148.3 miles driving since September 11, 2012 for 22.288 miles per gallon in mostly highway driving today.  I then got off the Massachusetts turnpike at the Sturbridge exit, and I paid a 50 cent toll.  I got on I-84 West, and I stopped the Connecticut Welcome center.  I then got on I-91 south to I-15 Wilbur Cross Parkway west.  I stopped at the North Haven rest area.  I then stopped at the New Canaan rest area.  I got off the Merritt Parkway at the North Street exit in Greenwich, and I drove into downtown Greenwich, and I went to the Chase Bank at 19 West Putnam Avenue for about a six hour trip total.  I then went to the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $19.01 of self service premium gasoline for $4.719 a gallon for 4.029 gallons for 130.9 miles driving since the previous fill up for 32.490 miles per gallon in mostly highway traffic.  I then went by the Valley Road Post Office, and I picked up my mail.  I also bought twenty 45 cent forever U.S.A. flag stamps for $9 total.  I chatted with a neighbor.  I then returned back to my apartment for 264 miles driving from my relatives' house in Maine.  I unloaded the Audi.  I started the apartments utilities.  I chatted with a relative.  I unpacked.  I sorted through my mail.  I had fruit flies in the kitchen from two old Vidalia onions and two bulbs of garlic that I left out.  I threw them away, and I sprayed Glade air spray to get rid of the fruit flies.  I was told by the building custodian they are installing insulation in the false ceilings in the apartments and along with new ceiling tiles.  I will have to discuss it with the Greenwich Housing Authority due to my apartments configuration.  Obviously I am not able to move too much stuff for them to do the job.   My viewpoint is to leave well enough alone.  I worry that insulation in the ceiling might actually make the apartment warmer in the summer, when I use more electricity for cooling than in the winter for heat.  They will not be around to doing it until next week anyway.  I chatted with two relatives and two friends.  I threw out the garbage, and I chatted with a neighbor.  I started the FIC server.  I chatted with a relative.  I ate a 14 ounce Boston Market sirloin tips dinner with eggs noodles and a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale.  Earlier I drank to 12 ounce glass of Sprite.  I do not drink fluids while I am traveling, so I get dehydrated.  CIO

We then went to CVS in Kennebunk. While my relatives were at CVS, I walked across the street to www.mcdonalds.com , and I bought three chick filet sandwiches for a dollar each and .21 tax for $3.21 total.  The pedestrian traffic light at that location does not work properly, because when it says it is safe to cross the street, there is automobile traffic still coming from the side streets.  I ate the sandwiches outside of CVS.  We then went to Hannaford’s grocery store, and we got some provisions.  There is no longer a barber shop in Kennebunkport, but there is a barber shop just west of Hannaford’s at the small shopping plaza there. We then went to the Kennebunkport police station, and we donated some recycle bottles and cans to the Kiwanis recycle bin there.  I was told that the Kennebunkport school nearby might be closing for lack of students. I guess Kennebunkport has an older population.  We returned to my relatives’ house and put away the groceries.  The Pumpkinhead Ale – Shipyard Brewery « The Great Pumpkin Beer Review is now available in local shops.  I started the laundry dry cycle, and I went to bed for a nap at 2:30 P.M..  I woke up at 5:15 P.M..  I put away the laundry.  CIO

Prime Minister of Canada

Believe it or not the last paying job I had in my life after working for many years as a dishwasher in Nantucket, I worked doing day labor for Ian Greenshield in Nantucket who was a local maintenance person.  He looked like Sean Connery, and he had been Jackie Onassis’ private body guard in Stowe, Vermont.  He had me do a day job in November 1983 painting the white trim on Admiral Halsey’s house on the Polpis Road out in Nantucket.  Ian was a French Canadian, and his son lived in Fort Lauderdale and his father sat around the old hotel in Montreal.  His family own Greenshield Investments which is now a part of the Welcome to RBC .  Many years ago, I saw him walking on the beach in Kennebunk.  He probably knows other Canadians.  CIO

We stopped by Snug Harbor Farm :: Plants for Connoisseurs :: Kennebunk, Maine , and my relative bought four ears of sweet corn on the cob and three white baby eggplants for $6 total.  We then drove through the construction in downtown Kennebunkport where they are putting in brick sidewalks.  They are also going to restore the draw bridge sometime in near future.  We went to the Kennebunkport post office.  We went to Port Lobster, and my relative got two lobster rolls to eat.  My relative is on the waiting list for picked crab meat tomorrow, if they get some in. Global Volcanism Program: Postdoctoral Fellowship / Visiting Senior Scientist

This is a second and final call for applications for a postdoctoral fellowship / visiting senior scientist position in the broad field of volcanology. The position is in the Department of Mineral Sciences, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution and is sponsored by the Global Volcanism Program (www.volcano.si.edu). We anticipate making our award decision in early October.

Competitive candidates will address problems in volcanology important on a global scale and/or volcanic systematics on regional/global scales from geochemical, petrological and/or physical volcanological perspectives. The department is home to the National Rock and Ore Collections as well as extensive preparatory and analytical equipment including experimental petrology labs, EMPA, FEG SEM, FTIR, XRD, cathodoluminescence, and wet chemistry (http://mineralsciences.si.edu/facilities.htm). The Global Volcanism Program maintains a database of physical characteristics of more than 9000 eruptions. To apply, please email a project proposal (5 page maximum including all figures, tables, and references), CV, dates of proposed tenure, and names of at least two references familiar with your work to Elizabeth Cottrell (cottrelle@si.edu). The position is for one year and renewable (for postdocs, not senior scientists) for a second year pending progress. The stipend is $53,000/yr + $3,000 for health insurance. Research funds are not directly allocated for this position. There are, however, no fees for use of Smithsonian analytical facilities. Drs. Cottrell and Andrews will cover expenses that arise during collaborative research. This is an annual, running, competition; however, we anticipate making our next award decision in October of 2012. If you have applied previously, we still have your application under consideration.

For further information, contact Elizabeth Cottrell or Benjamin Andrews. The Smithsonian Institution is an equal opportunity employer.

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 12:05 P.M.  The way I figure it as a local economist, with all of the expensive automobile dealerships on West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, Connecticut, more money might be spent on West Putnam Avenue than Greenwich Avenue for what it is worth, particularly if one includes www.jpmorgan.com and www.chase.com .  I will now shower and clean up.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 11:40 A.M.  I only worked at Polaroid in the summer and at Christmas Time while I was there.  I also was restoring an old 1951 Mercedes 300B sedan which took quite a bit of my time in the summer and my money also.  I sometimes after work in Cambridge would drive back into Cambridge at night and have a Heineken at the Club Casablanca off Harvard Square or visit a friend that lived on Beacon Hill.  My friend on Beacon Hill worked for the SAAB parts department on Commonwealth Avenue and lost interest in photography after dropping out of Harvard, since there was more money in auto parts.  I learned that restoring the old Mercedes while in college.  Back in the late 1970s while out in California, I also learned there was money in automobile salvage yards.  North American Rockwell started out as an automobile salvage yard before becoming a prime contractor for NASA.  Of course while out in California, Howard Hughes' people watched our every move, and even when I moved back to Greenwich in December 1983, I went to a church group run by someone that was from Howard Hughes' Episcopal church in Houston, Texas.  When I was out on Long Island from 1978 to 1983, there were a lot of people out there from Grumman aircraft which is now the third largest defense contractor in the United States, and I built the garage apartment in Mr. Grumman's neighborhood.  Possibly the grand daughter from the house who worked for China airlines might have noticed it.  When I was out at San Francisco airport around 1979, I saw a large group of United States Citizens leaving the San Francisco airport on the renewal of the Pan Am Clipper flight to Shaghai including Mrs. Honeywell from Wellesley, Massachusetts.  Honeywell use to make the computers for NORAD.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 11:05 A.M.  Although I did not attend www.harvard.edu , I worked around Cambridge, Massachusetts while at www.polaroid.com  as a research photographer and software engineer and laborer from 1968 to 1971.  My father Louis Dale Scott in that period was the Vice President of Manufacturing for Polaroid, and he was also a member of the board of the Polaroid Foundation for Dr. Land, and back in 1971, the Polaroid Foundation gave Harvard University $10 million which was a lot of money back then, so I am always getting people with Harvard connections looking for money, but none of them ever offered me a job, so they can not expect any money from me at this point, but I could take a picture of any of them and post if on the internet.  Back around 1970, Dr. Land was the first billionaire in Massachusetts, and by 1971, the Polaroid stock was up to $115 a share, but by the time the company went bankrupt in 1978, the stock was down to about $3 a share, so a lot of people with Polaroid connections were not that financially well off unless they sold their stock at the peak of the market.  My father left Polaroid in the winter of 1973, and we moved back to Greenwich, Connecticut that June 1973, where he worked for Combustion Engineering and Continental Can Company that had offices in Stamford, Connecticut and Greenwich, Connecticut.  Thus my family was able to keep a roof over its head during the stock market crash of 1973.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 10:35 A.M.  Of course an original member of the original Scott family in America might be able to get into Princeton University - Welcome , Columbia University in the City of New York , New York UniversityUniversity of Virginia , William & Mary , Washington and Lee University :: Lexington, Virginia , West PointThe University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , Duke University , Welcome to Ohio State - The Ohio State University , University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign , Welcome to Lake Forest College , Penn: University of Pennsylvania , Harvard University , MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology , York University , and University of St Andrews - Scotland's first university, founded 1413 .  There are probably a few others that I have forgotten to mention.  Since there are so many members of the original Scott family in America, if one were accepted, more than likely one would have to pay their own way, except for West Point which is very competitive to get into.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 10:05 A.M.  Welcome to Harriman - Architects + Engineers is still in business.  www.vanderbilt.com takes one to www.vanderbilt.edu which has a very good hospital.  I once read that relatives of the Vanderbilt family are entitled to free medical care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center , but one would probably have to pay their way to get there and be able to prove they are a relative of the Vanderbilts.  Also at www.yale.edu , there is a private suite of rooms reserved for any Vanderbilt relatives that might want to attend Yale University.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/05/12 Wednesday 9:45 A.M.  There is really no content at www.warburg.com .  It appears to be a dummy web site, where somebody is squatting on the domain name hoping to sell it for a profit.   A whois search warburg.com WHOIS domain registration information from Network Solutions shows it is registered in Canada.  www.rothschild.com whois search rothschild.com WHOIS domain registration information from Network Solutions shows it is registered in England.  www.rockefeller.com does not work, but is appears to be under the control of the family rockefeller.com WHOIS domain registration information from Network Solutions .  They are probably still using an old RCA television with rabbit ears up in North Tarrytown.  It is high enough up on the hill, they probably can get the TV signal from Manhattan without paying for Cable TV.  Rich people tend to be cheap.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/02/12 Sunday 6:55 P.M.  I chatted with a relative.  Back in October 1983, when I left www.nantucket.net for the first time of two times that Fall, I had been working at Le Languedoc Bistro a Nantucket Restaurant and Inn. Serving French cuisine on Nantucket for over 30 Years from April that year, and I would eat a cottage cheese omelet for my first meal with a cup of coffee and English muffin with butter, when I got the restaurant at 11 A.M. for the lunch shift.  When I got off the lunch ship about 2:30 P.M..  I would jog out to the beach at the airport and back, and I would start my night shift at 4 P.M., and around 5 P.M., they would give us a filet of fish with sautéed vegetables, but they did not like us drinking milk, so we would drink iced tea or tonic water with lime.  I would get off the night shift at around 4 A.M. after cleaning up the restaurant after my dishwashing and pot scrubbing routines.  I think they use to give us another meal about 11 P.M. when the restaurant closed, which was pretty much the same meal as the 5 P.M. meal.  I think I weighed around 155 pounds, so I was thin and in good shape.  I use to work in Adiddas Country Sneakers and I bought a pink LaCoste polo shirt on the island that I frequently worked in.  At the very old age of 33, I looked like this http://mikelouisscott.com/mike-scott-kennebunkport-maine-august-1983.jpg .  However, when I finally returned to Greenwich, Connecticut in December 1983, my first apartment was a tiny room at 100 Milbank Avenue up in the attic with a shared bathroom and a refrigerator.  I shared the attic floor with Spyros Skoros' chauffeur.  Since I was on an income of $200 a month after rent payment, I would buy quart containers of Columbo yogurt at the Greenwich Food Mart on Greenwich Avenue for about $1.59, and I would have yogurt and orange juice for breakfast, since I did not have a way to cook.  For my dinner, I would eat at the Greenwich Hospital Cafeteria about $2.50 a meal which I did for about three years.  When in June 1984, I moved to 700 Steamboat Road, I continued the same menu, but by then I had gone up to 215 pounds for some odd reason.  I guess I was not getting as much exercise.  After two years on Steamboat Road, when I got a car, I started cooking on a hot plate in the apartment, since I had a small refrigerator.  I recall my favorite inexpensive item was A&P frozen liver slices with onions, but by that time the Greenwich Hospital Cafeteria was getting close to $4 a meal.  I still frequently only eat two meals a day, but having a kitchen in Byram for almost 23 years and using smart shopping techniques, I currently weight 230 pounds, so I now look like a prosperous Dutch business person.  Alas I don't speak Dutch.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/02/12 Sunday 5:20 P.M.  I cut a 12 ounce half of a slice about 5/8th inch thick off the ham, and I put it on a microwave proof plate with splatter cover, and I heated it in the Sharp microwave oven for four minutes on 50% power.  I put Gulden's spicy brown mustard on it.  I ate it with a steamed ear of sweet corn on the cob with sliced baby carrots and broccoli crowns with Smart Balance Spread and extra virgin olive oil and a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale and a cup of green tea with Splenda sweetener and Borden's lemon juice.  I also had four medium sliced tomatoes with oregano, ground black pepper, and extra virgin olive oil.  Today, when I was downtown, I saw a sign for Greenwich Polo .  They are having a big Polo match next Sunday September 9, 2012, for anyone would can afford to drive to back country Greenwich and pay the usual $20? entrance fee.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/02/12 Sunday 3:50 P.M.  I went downtown to the World Famous Greenwich Avenue.  I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.  In front of Starbucks, someone had a 2003 black and yellow Mini Cooper with 98,000 miles on it for sale for $9,800.  I stopped by the Greenwich Cigar store, and I played a Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I won $10 for $9 profit.  I chatted with a local and someone from Montenegro looking for a waterfront cafe.  On the way up Greenwich Avenue, I stopped by CVS, and I bought three .75 ounce Italian Spices for $2 total.  I sat out for a while after my walk.  I used the bathroom at Starbucks.  I then went by the Stop and Shop, and I chatted with a Westchester County humane animal removal service that was parked there.  I bought bananas for .79 a pound for $1.82 and a package of day old muffins for $2 and .50 can and bottle return for $3.32 total.  I then returned home.  CIO

Note: <888> 09/02/12 Sunday 11:00 A.M.  I will now shower and clean up.  I will then go downtown for a walk.  If anyone wants to network with other Mitt Romney supporters in the area, there is a large Mormon church up in New Canaan, Connecticut, if you can afford to drive that far out of town.  Greenwich Gas Prices – Find Greenwich, Connecticut Gas Stations and Cheap Gas in CT at Automobile Magazine .  CIO
