09/30/24 Monday 10:20 P.M. Tracking is USPS.com® - USPS Tracking® Results on the order for Lenovo ThinkCentre M93p Tiny i5-4570T 2.90GHz 8GB Ram 128GB SSD Windows 10 AC | eBay for $55.30 total. I probably won't set it up. I will just keep it in the left living closet shelf as a spare. Using older computer equipment, it can break down. Since I am extremely low income, my viewpoint might be appreciated by low income students and retired people unlike Wall Street Gurus.
09/30/24 Monday 9:10 P.M. I watched a Chinese cooking show off Spirit television. However, my relative threw out my wok last December. I used to know how to do something like French Chinese cooking in a wok with olive oil and garlic and Italian spices and oregano. I went outside again.

09/30/24 Monday 7:25 P.M. I woke up at 6:15 P.M., and I chatted with a friend. I went outside, and I drank an instant coffee. My friends in Luxury Forbes Five-Star Resort in Georgia | Sea Island Resort were without electricity for four days.
09/30/24 Monday 1:20 P.M. I put a spinach wrap on a dinner plate. I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise. I then alternated it with six deli slices of ham with 6 deli slices of White American cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half. I ate it with a 15 ounce can of sliced carrots and a 12 ounce glass Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.
I will now rest a bit.
09/30/24 Monday 12:50 P.M. The Modicia O.S. Linux works really well. It has the Google Chrome web browser and Skype and a Office Suite. It also installs Microsoft Office 365, but one has to have an account for that. Thus for an older computer, it is ideal.
09/30/24 Monday 12:20 P.M. I made a Modicia O.S. install pen drive. On the Vizio mini computer setup, I did a Hiren Low Level format on the second Lenovo ThinkCentre mini computer, and I am now installing the Modicia OS on it. Previously Linux OS Ubuntu or Linux Mint would not install on it, so Modicia O.S. works with older equipment. My Linux ThinkCentre Mini computers are about eight years old, so they are not made to work with Windows 11 or the Windows 12 beta unless the install is modified too. Thus the Windows 12 beta Canary is no longer on the machine. However, I can always easily restore it.

09/29/24 Sunday 3:45 P.M. I moved the Lenovo ThinkCentre Windows 10 setup to the primary work computer desk. From there, I moved the similar ThinkCentre setup to the Vizio TV mini computer setup, and I did a low level format on it removing the Windows 12 beta Canary from it, and I am now doing an Aomei restore of the same Windows 10 setup that I just created.
I will now go outside again.

09/29/24 Sunday 1:00 P.M. I bought Microsoft Project Pro 2021 Global Key – RoyalCDKeys for $5.03 and installed it on the Lenvo Mini Windows 10 PC. The download is here Download Microsoft Project 2021 Professional on Brytesoft Windows Complete PC backup would not work on it, so I did an Aomei backup of it to the external SSD drive. I guess I will also restore it to the other Lenovo Mini when it arrives later in the week.

09/29/24 Sunday 11:30 A.M. On the Windows 10 Think Centre, Windows 10, Norton Internet Security, and Office 2021 are all activated. I am now installing the Windows 10 updates. I will then do either or both a Windows 10 Complete PC backup or an Aomei backup.

On the Vizio TV mini computer setup, I used the low level formatted the top Lenovo mini computer with Hirens EasyBCD pen drive Download | Hiren's BootCD PE (hirensbootcd.org) and https://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/ and I am using the Aomei backup on it to restore the already configured Windows 10 setup from the Dell 17.3 inch laptop on the Ethan Allen table. From what I know Microsoft Office product activation will come up, but until I set it up on the Lenovo Mini computer, it will do just fine.

09/29/24 Sunday 9:00 A.M. I drove down to the Board of Education Parking Lot Veterans Monument bench, and I sat out for a long time. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com . I then went to www.cvs.com and I toured the store. I bought a Daisy Croissant with $2 bonus bucks for free. I ate it in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park across the street. I then used the bathroom at CVS. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue. I bought three 15 ounce Stop and Shop fruit cocktail for $2.09 a can, three 15 ounce Stop and Shop mixed fruit for $2.09 a can, two six packs of Stop and Shop English muffins for $2.99 and $1.59, deli sliced Virginia ham for $4.99 a pound for $5.11 and white seedless grapes for $2.49 a pound for $6.08 for $28.31 total. I then returned home. I put away the food. I put the grey bag back in the car. I drank a decaf instant coffee outside. I filed this report. I will now go outside again.

I will now go downtown to Green Witch Avenue to see the mad rush to www.starbucks.com which happens to serve a product from South of the Border as far as I know. However, in Europe coffee shops are allowed to serve liquor which is why there are more of them in Europe.

09/29/24 Sunday 4:00 A.M. When I was around Fred Von Mierers, Helen Kress Williams, Vivian West and Anne Freeman's group of friends in Manhattan, they all attended St. Bart's (stbarts.org) on the north side of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan. Once when I stayed with Hurley Harris Haywood at the Waldorf Towers, I had a cigarette on the patio of St. Bart's, and I saw someone that looked like the Duke of Windsor getting out of a Buick sedan at the Waldorf Towers in January 1973, but he was supposed to have passed away by then, so maybe it was Billy Baldwin the interior decorator that looked like him and knew him. Also St. Bart's has an indoor swimming pool. Also the wealthiest church in Manhattan is Grace Church in New York | Grace Church, an Episcopal Parish in the City of New York (gracechurchnyc.org) at 13th Street and University place in Greenwich Village. They own a lot of real estate. However, there are other churches in Manhattan like https://www.stjohndivine.org/ on the upper west side. On West 20th Street in Manhattan, where I also once lived briefly around 1974, they also have General Theological Seminary (gts.edu) . However, in walking around endlessly in Manhattan, I have passed many churches and houses of worship that people in Manhattan are familiar with like Marble Collegiate Church (marblechurch.org) which has old Dutch roots or even FAPC · Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church uptown where my step father's family were benefactors of. Of course Home - Church of St. Paul the Apostle, New York (stpaultheapostle.org) down on Wall Street is supposed to be one of the oldest churches in Manhattan as is https://www.trinitychurch.org/ next door down on Wall Street.

I then alternated it with six deli slices of ham with 6 deli slices of White American cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half. I ate it with a 15 ounce can of corn and a 12 ounce glass Fresca with two ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.

However, I might just leave it setup with Windows 10 setup on the Vizio TV mini computer setup. My Windows 10 setup has a lot of free programs which Windows 11 or 12 does not have.

I went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I filled up the tank with $13.02 of self service premium gasoline at $4.099 a gallon for 3.177 gallons at odometer reading of 126118 miles for 45.3 miles driven since Sunday September 15, 2024 for 14.534 miles per gallon in local traffic. I then drove to the Board of Education Veterans Monument parking lot bench, and I sat out for a while, and I drank a thermos of instant coffee. I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road. Long Island still appears to be there. I then returned home. I sat outside. I filed this report. I will now go outside again.

09/28/24 Saturday 2:35 A.M. To open up the living room, I folded up the new blue beach chair, and I stored it in the northwest corner. I then moved the www.harvard.edu chair into the northwest corner with the laptop setup. On the laptop setup in the northwest corner to the left of the Samsung television, I moved to the Apple MacBook Pro to the book shelf on the left, so the Dell 17.3 inch laptop there is now available for use there. Both Dell 17.3 inch laptops have dual boot with both Windows 10 and Windows 12 beta Canary with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project on them, so they are good to use. Since nobody cares about Microsoft around here with the profitable Apple store on Greenwich Avenue, I am one of the last original beta testers of the Microsoft OS in this area. I have been to two Microsoft conferences at the Sheraton Hotel in Stamford, another at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, another at the Hyatt Hotel in Hauppauge, Long Island, and the last one was at the Sheraton Hotel in Manhattan when I took these pictures to document the event Index of /mls-030408 (mikelouisscott.com) and I saw Prince Charles in Grand Central Station with Prime Minister Gordon Brown looking at the remodeled Grand Central Station with a thousand men in black suits that looked a bit like Prince Andrew. That is the last time, I dared to go to Manhattan.

I used the bathroom at CVS. I bought for 75% off a Titan Artic Zone back back for $12.49 and buy one get one 50% off of Aleve Liquid Gels 80 count for $43.49 total. I then returned home. I put the back pack on the floor of the right living room closet. I filed this report. I will now shut down the HP laptop computer. I will eat a yogurt. I will then go to bed.

Later, when I got back to Manhattan in 1973, I read Living Well Is the Best Revenge (Modern Library): Tomkins, Calvin: 9780679603085: Amazon.com: Books which was about the expatriates in Europe. I even met up with Shawn Hemingway at Daly's Dandelion pub at First Avenue and 59th Street who was the nephew of Ernest Hemingway and had just finished school in Switzerland. However, in that period I was so busy trying to make ends meet, I did not have much time to do serious reading until I returned from Nantucket in December 1983 back to Greenwich and started using the Home | Greenwich Library . However out on Nantucket, I did use the Nantucket Antheneum The Nantucket Atheneum is the island's public library. and in Key West, I did use the Monroe County Public Library, Florida Keys (keyslibraries.org) . However, once I started using a personal computer back in September 1989, I pretty much forgot about reading books. Two four packs of Chaboni yogurt for $3.99 each four pack, two packages of deli sliced white American cheese for $4.99 a pound for $5.09 each for both, a package of deli sliced ham for $4.99 a pound for $5.09, a 64 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $4.49, and a package of Mission Spinach wraps for $4.69 and white seedless grapes for $2.29 a pound for $3.92 for $48.08 total. I then alternated it with six deli slices of German baloney with 6 deli slices of gouda cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half. I ate it with a 15 ounce can of corn with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli baloney I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a baloney and cheese wrap.

The local business companies that my father Louis Dale Scott was involved with as an executive in this area was Monsanto Chemstrand in Manhattan, Combustion Engineering in Stamford now Asea Brown Boveri and Continental Can in Greenwich and Manhattan. These larger companies also had facilities elsewhere including overseas. Of course before we moved into this area in June 1962, this area was not as prosperous, so maybe our family and associates helped make the area a little bit more prosperous. My father was also employed as an executive with Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell. He had a PHD in organic chemistry from Ohio State and did his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana. Besides being an executive he knew how to build factories and oil refineries. Major companies obviously have connections with bankers which why finance and economics is important.
However, since September 1989, I have learned how to use personal computers to keep track of my very simple lifestyle in the rather complex New York City environment.

09/18/24 Wednesday 1:40 A.M. I moved the black piano bench back in the bedroom to in front of the United States of America flag in the bedroom. From there I moved the small dark oak end table to in front of the mahogany bureau in the bedroom with the television sound bar on it. I then moved the Harvard chair from the northwest corner of the living room to in front of the white bureau in front of the left side of the hallway entrance. I then set up the new folding beach chair in the northwest corner of the living room in front of the Dell 17.3 inch laptop setup. I figure the Harvard chair is an expensive piece of furniture, so it should be more prominently displayed. Through my Greenwich Country Day and Taft School connections, I know some people that went to Harvard, when my family lived in Boston, and I was just a summer photographer in Cambridge working at Polaroid. As a minor point of dispute, it says here History of the Scott Family (scott-mike.com) that the Scott family were original settlers in Cambridge along with other east coast settlements of America. More than likely there are still a few Scott family members out there in the wood work of America and they also seem to be a lot of them up in Canada for some odd reason not to mention the United States of America. Back in 1974, there were three United States Senators from the Scott family. One was from Pennsylvania, another from Virginia, and another from North Carolina. More than likely there are younger members of the Scott family around, not to mention the ones in the Eastern Hemisphere. Windfield Scott in Colonial Days was six foot three inches tall, so some of the modern descendants might be even taller, but they probably feel more comfortable around taller people like I do around middle size people at six feet tall and 205 pounds. I once had a distant relative on my mother's Dutch side of the family whom was a basket ball coach after landing the second day of D Day, so he might have known other tall people out in the Midwest somewhere or other.

Joseph Heller's daughter was in our class, but when he visited the college when his daughter was there when the Cosmic Circus was going on, he withdrew his daughter from the college. I put it behind the passenger side front seat, and I moved the old wheel device to the rear of the Volvo wagon. I threw out the shipping box. I went to my 3:30 P.M. appointment. I sat in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park for almost an hour. Across the street there is a new place going in called the HOME | Greenwich Brewing Company . They are on the second floor, and the building has very steep stairs. It is where the lobster place used to be. They are supposed to be opened next week. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought two six packs of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.59 a six pack, white seedless grapes for $1.99 a pound for $4.92, a clearance box of four croissants for $2.89, a package of deli sliced German baloney for $3.99 a pound for $4.15 and a package of deli sliced white American cheese for $4.88 a pound for $4.81 for $19.95 total. I then returned home, and I put away the food. I put grey bag back in the car, and I drank an instant coffee outside. I picked up the mail. The order for two USA American Flag Decal Sticker Car Truck Vehicle Bumper Window Vinyl Vehicle 3M | eBay for $5.74 arrived. I put one of them on the lower right rear window of the Volvo wagon. I moved the new folding beach chair from in front of the white bureau to the northwest corner of the living room to the right of the Harvard chair in the corner. I put the black piano bench in front of the white bureau on the left side of the hallway entrance. I put the large blue ottoman in front of the Ethan Allen recliner, and I moved the small red ottoman behind the Ethan Allen recliner. The red ottoman is more fragile and does not support my legs as easily when sitting at the Ethan Allen recliner. I also moved the small dark oak table in front of the dark mahogany bureau in the bedroom to right with the sound bar on it. No need for pictures.

09/14/24 Saturday 12:20 A.M. Being on a night schedule most of my adult life, not many people ever paid much attention to me even in the big city of Manhattan. In my days in Manhattan up until February 1982, when it was 26 degrees below zero almost two years after Mount St. Helen's erupted, I learned some people were making money at night on computers by maintaining the computers on Wall Street, when the stock market was closed. However, until the Graphical User Interface came out on DOS, I was not much use on computers. I do not know the advanced computer operating systems like Big Blue better known as www.ibm.com market, although back in the summer of 1971 at Polaroid, I did learn a bit of COBOL from IBM manuals that Polaroid used on the expensive IBM 360 main frames they leased from IBM. Lake Forest College even gave me three credits for that work to make up the two courses in Quantum Mechanics and the one course in recent American History I flunked. I left all of the IBM manuals and the COBOL print outs of the spread sheet that I wrote in one night after meeting up with a few young guys near a friend's apartment on Beacon Hill. I will not mention what I was taking, but when I entered the program from spread sheets into punch cards, it ran perfectly fine on the IBM 360. I then hitch hiked down to Woods Hole and took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and wandered around Martha's Vineyard, and I think I also camped out on the beach in a storm on Chappaquiddick which was well advertised at that time. It was about a twenty mile walk on the south shore of Martha's Vineyard from Edgartown to the Gay Head, and there was a dangerous inlet half way that one had to cross. However, I also heard about www.nantucket.net while living in Boston, so I would also sneak out there to enjoy the summer activity. I think on one my first trips to Nantucket, I ran into my freshman year room mate at Lake Forest College from Princeton, New Jersey when I was having a beer at the pub on Main Street which became an ice cream parlor. Being all salty from the ocean, we did not recognize each other. I can not remember the name of that pub, but I think it was something like the Ship's Locker or some other nautical phrase. Other classmates from Lake Forest College were also out on Nantucket too, but I recall on the first trip to Nantucket in the summer of 1968, I stayed with some other youth from Greenwich at a small apartment on Orange Street. My Polaroid celebrity did not transfer to Nantucket, and even when I lived at 31 India Street the President of Eastman Kodak lived across the street. On one of the earlier trips to Nantucket in the late 1960s, I visited with one of two British twins whose father ran B.O.A.C. in Boston, and he was an excellent surfer having lived in Hawaii. Alas as a senior age, I need to stay close to those services that maintain older people in the Greenwich area.
09/13/24 Friday 10:55 P.M. On the Vizio TV mini computer setup, the second Microsoft Windows 12 beta Canary Lenovo ThinkCentre mini computer is back up and running again. It is the same as the other one with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Norton Internet Security. I am trying to install another Windows update on it, but I do not think it will install on a beta.

I low level formatted the Linux beta computer with Hirens EasyBCD pen drive Download | Hiren's BootCD PE (hirensbootcd.org) and https://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/ and I am using the Aomei backup on it to restore the already configured Windows 12 beta Canary setup.
Be a Microsoft Windows 12 beta tester in many different languages. I did this one can try this an created a Windows 11 beta Rufus for older machines with this method by downloading the latest Windows Developer 11 beta 26100.1150 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso?rfs=1 , and I used this procedure for Windows 11 on an older PC, Windows 11 Rufus installed from USB Pen Drive I made a Windows 11 Rufus USB pen drive with this method this https://rufus.ie/en/ to created a Windows 11 bootable USB pen drive for it to upgrade https://www.elevenforum.com/t/create-bootable-windows-11-iso-without-tpm-secure-boot-and-ram-requirements.1891/ I formatted the over 8 GB USB pen drive in NTFS, and I set Rufus to "MBR" selected and the second and third advanced options selected, also select options no TPM/no Secure boot. The different language versions of the Windows 11 *.iso download are here https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 thus for example if one wanted Windows 11 Professional in French download the *.iso file and make the Windows 11 Rufus USB pen drive the same way. Once again the Complete PC backup does not work, but Aomei backup does work. Microsoft does not pay its beta tester minions, but one learns a bit about their operating systems for free. Also on the beta disk manager does not work, unless one uses this way run a CMD prompt as Administrator, and run, "compmgmt.msc" . This will also work on older computers too.

09/13/24 Friday 2:25 P.M. I went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop on Hamilton Avenue. All the red tag item are half price. I bought a British Whisky jug lamp with shade for $20 cash half price. I then drove to Grass Island, and I sat out for a while. I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. They are still painting the front of CVS. I toured the store twice, and once I used the bathroom there. I paid $1.50 in quarters to park there. I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought two packages of Mission spinach wraps for $4.69 each package, a package deli sliced German baloney for $3.99 a pound for $4.09 and a package of deli sliced Van Kass smoked Dutch Gouda cheese for $6.99 a pound for $7.20 for $20.67 total. I then returned home. I put away food. I put the British Whiskey jug lamp on the blue bookcase at the left side of the kitchen entrance, so there is an always on lamp in the kitchen, and there will be light if the 16 inch round florescent ceiling lamp burns out. I put the grey bag back in the car. I drank and instant coffee outside. I filed this report. I will now go outside again.

I then alternated it with six deli slices of deli honey ham with s deli slices of white American cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half. I ate it with a 15 ounce can of corn with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.

I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $9.99 total. I then returned home. I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water. I then put the folding cart back in the car, and I drank an instant coffee outside. I filed this report. !!!!!! 09/09/24 Monday 7:00 A.M. On Linux Mint to play Amazon Music, one has to install the Brave web browser from the Apps store. Amazon Music and Amazon Video works just fine that way. I think in the Eastern Hemisphere, they do not trust the Western Hemisphere Apple and Microsoft Operating systems, and prefer to use Linux which I think is based out of the Eastern Hemisphere. Linux is also in a lot more different languages too. In Ubuntu Linux, I can not find a web browser that supports Amazon Music.

09/07/24 Saturday 1:40 P.M. I bought Lenovo Thinkcentre M625Q 8GB RAM 128GB SSD Mini PC Wi-Fi | eBay for $95.08. It is new and can be used for beta testing Linux or Windows. It is about the size of a book or smaller.

I did a low level format on it with the Hirens EasyBCD pen drive Download | Hiren's BootCD PE (hirensbootcd.org) and https://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/ , and I am now doing and Aomei restore of the latest Windows 12 beta Canary setup which is already configured. In the past Linux has worked on the Lenovo Mini. Maybe it is the third one with the yellow AC power plug which is different than the other two.

I then went to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought four 64 ounce Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice for $15.16 total. I then returned home. I put the juice away. I put the grey bag back in the car. I sat outside. I filed this report. I will now shut down the HP laptop. I will eat a yogurt. I will then go to bed.

Back in the 1950s, when my family used my maternal grandmother's cottage on the beach in Holland, Michigan; there was a small store just north of it that had a pen ball machine for nickel a game. When I was at Lake Forest College, I knew friends that had a pachinko machine. When I arrived at the train station in Grenoble, France in the winter of 1972, the train station was filled with dozens of pen ball machines. At the discothčque in Greenville, South Carolina in the winter of 1976, they also had pen ball machines, but with inflation, I think they were a quarter a game. In the Chicago in the fall of 1972, Rob Glore also had a jute box in his apartment. Also in that period the Ninth Circle pub in Greenwich Village had a jute box which was about a quarter for each song. I used to try to control the music there with Beach Boys, Elvis, and Beatles tunes. However, they had a picture of Janis Joplin there, so maybe there were other music people there. I was told while at CBS, the news division did not make any money, but the music division made a lot of money. The soap operas were also owned by Proctor and Gamble. I did see the cast of the Waltons once at the Ninth Circle Pub and also Andy Warhol. I remember during one blizzard when people were stuck traveling in Manhattan, I saw someone that looked like Margaret Thatcher and Mao Tse Tung stuck traveling elsewhere. Later a lot of Jamaicans showed up on the back patio underneath a tent smoking what Jamaicans were once famous for in hippie days. The bartender "Stormy" was from White House, Vermont; so he did not mind cold weather. I usually drank small 4 ounce cans of orange juice there. They did also serve Schlitz beer there too. They also served Schlitz beer at the Bull put in Key West. At Lake Forest College, Budweiser was 69 cents a six pack but Schlitz was 59 cents a six pack, since we were not too far from the Wisconsin border where in Kenosha, Wisconsin American Motors made Jeeps which are handy in cold snowy weather up North. Rob Glore a cousin of Hurley Harris Haywood was the first person I knew in Key West, and he had a woman's hippie clothing shop with lots of girls next to the Masonic Temple across the street from the Post Office. He had gone to school in Switzerland, but one hardly ever saw him around except a few times walking his Irish Setter. He did cash my six month of unemployment checks when they finally arrived in April 1977. One time when I was there, I also walked into a party off the street where Hurley Harris Haywood was the guest of honor. I guess my Chemstrand Monsanto Nylon connections in Pensacola, Florida were no good in Key West. When Jimmy Eldert, and I finally left in April 1977 with my $2,500 in unemployment money; I was only 125 pounds having starved without benefits for six months, when I arrived in the third week of September 1976 in Fort Lauderdale, I was a 185 pounds. Thus Key West is a good place to lose weight, if one does not mind starving.

09/05/24 Thursday 11:30 P.M. I took the new folding beach chair out of the back of the Volvo, and I put it folded up in front of the white bureau on the left side of the hallway entrance. It can be easily folded out for use at that location, and it is less cluttered there. I moved the red leather Chesterfield chair from there back to in front of the Vizio TV mini computer setup at the apartment entrance. It is more comfortable to sit at that location. From there, I moved the Harvard chair back to the northwest corner of the living room at the Dell 17.3 inch laptop setup. From there, I move the bent pine chair to the left side of the bed in the bedroom.

Back in the 1960s my neighbors on Round Hill Road had a pool table in their basement, where I learned to play Stripes and Solids. At Lake Forest College, they had four AMF pool tables in the Commons. When I met Hurley Harris Haywood, he had a pool table in his grandmother's basement. In Manhattan, Uncle Charlie's on Third Avenue, the Ninth Circle pub, the Eagles Nest, and the Spike and Jimmy's had pool tables. Up in Nantucket Preston's bar next to the airport had two pool tables. When I was once hospitalized for starving, the hospital had two pool tables. In Key West, Captain Tony's bar had two pool tables. I think the discotecque in Greenville, South Carolina had pool tables. The Brook cafe in Westport had a pool table. Also Christ Church in Greenwich has two pool tables. Alas I am not that good at it, but I have played it a bit. AMF used to be headquartered on Greenwich Avenue too. Possibly the Amtrak station bar in Santa Barbara also had a pool table.

09/04/24 Wednesday 2:40 A.M. I hardly ever have to open up the white bureau in the living room. The top drawers contains various flags of convenience, which I do not display, since the United States Government pays most of my bills here, so I display the U.S.A. flag in the bedroom. The middle drawer contains bathing suits and new linens, but since I am not supposed to go out in the sun anymore, I do not use the bathing suits anymore. The bottom drawer contains some new Oxford shirts, which I do not seem to wear anymore, because the traditional Greenwich Preppy look seems to be way out of fashion here. I still know how to do it though, and I have sports jackets and sweaters and dress pants, but that makes me look more affluent, which I am not obviously. I was told many times that www.lakeforest.edu in Lake Forest, Illinois was the only college one could attend and still come out a Preppy. Maybe out in the Midwest, they still like wearing traditional Anglophile clothes instead of cold weather outdoor apparel. It is colder out there. I once was told a distant relation raises sheep in Montana, so maybe they still have wool products in America besides the United Kingdom. Some people like dressing up for church services, but being on a night time schedule, I hardly ever attend church anymore. I still have a couple of old bibles in my apartment, and one is my Taft School bible I think published by Thomas Nelson and sons out of Edinburgh, Scotland. My Taft minister is retired from Yale, and the Taft alumni news letter says he is running a historical farm up in Vermont, where it is colder than here. The other Yale minister the Reverend William Sloan Coffin who was a carpenter out in Nantucket also was retired up in Vermont. Sometimes when it gets colder up North, we get a few people from Vermont showing up here. That is probably when the younger generation here goes skiing up there in the winter. President Gerald Ford used to have a house in Dillon, Colorado made out of iron wood that could support a many feet of snow. My 1971 Subaru from Nantucket also came from Dillon, Colorado. I know PBA airlines out on Nantucket in the summer used to be Aspen Airways in Colorado in the Winter.

09/04/24 Wednesday 2:15 A.M. I once met another interior decorator from the Harvard School of Design named Bret Clark from Steubenville, Ohio; Palm Beach; and Vienna, Austria. He told me when I met him, he was redoing the Kennedy School of Government for Caroline Kennedy Schlosberg up in Boston. I guess he is quite talented. His father was the ambassador from Austria to the United Nations too, so he might speak German like Fred Von Mierers. When I was around Fred Von Mierers his architect partner from Greenwich was Taylor Sterling that lived on Mayfair Lane in Greenwich where I bought the cast iron caboose stove, when I first moved into this apartment from John Fitzgerald a very tall person. Alas, I can not afford expensive furniture like Fred Von Mierers' client Kip Forbes could afford from Sotheby's and Christie's. However, over the years I have tried to make do with the charity contributions at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop mostly. People were always telling me in Manhattan about another interior decorator named Michael Parish of Parish Hadley, but I do not recall meeting him. Billy Baldwin did redo the White House for Jackie Kennedy and worked for other established clients like the Mellon family of Nantucket and else where.

I moved the Harvard chair from the northwest corner in the living room to in front of the white bureau in the living room. I moved the small dark oak end table from the bedroom wall to the right side of the Harvard on the left side of the hallway entrance. I moved a bent pine chair from the bedroom to the northwest corner of the living room. I moved the square cherry Danish end table to the bedroom wall with the AT&T two line telephone on it. Once it gets cold, I can moved the portable air conditioner in the living room to the northwest corner of the living room or the left side of the bed in the bedroom. Then in the open space in the living room where the portable air conditioner is, I can put a square end table. Also with the Harvard chair where it is, it is more conversational should a small group of people ever want to converse in my apartment. Maybe the ghosts of Billy Baldwin and Frederick Von Mierers are haunting me in my small apartment interior decoration not to mention some relatives whom think they know best.

09/01/24 Sunday 8:15 P.M. I woke up at 6:15 P.M. I made my bed. I went outside. I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, fruit cocktail, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice and vitamins and supplements, and an instant coffee outside.
09/01/24 Sunday 8:15 A.M. I drove downtown to the Board of Education Veterans Monument bench, and I sat our for a long time. I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com . I bought a bacon, egg, and gouda cheese sandwich for about $5.03 off my Starbucks card. I ate it in front of the Senior and the Arts Center. I went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store, and I used the bathroom there. I sat in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park across the street, and I chatted with a friend. I returned home. I sat outside. I filed this report. I will now shut down the HP laptop computer. I will eat a yogurt. I will then go to bed.
09/01/24 Sunday 5:05 A.M. I put $25 on my www.starbucks.com card.
I will now go downtown and watch the early morning rush. I don't think Starbucks opens on Sundays until 6 A.M. or 6:30 A.M. but I think www.mcdonalds.com opens at 5 A.M. However, I am not hungry.

09/01/24 Sunday 2:35 A.M. I used the Kiwi leather conditioner to polish a new pair to topsider type shoes and my oldest pair of Cole Hann shoes that I run outside with all of the time.

For rich people today Experience Sundays at Greenwich Polo Club - Story Studio – Greenwichtime.com . Maybe some of George Cary's rich friends will be visiting today. We probably should be on our best behavior in case any Anglophiles are in the pack of visitors.

09/01/24 Sunday 12:35 A.M. I put a spinach wrap on a dinner plate. I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise. I then alternated it with six deli slices of deli ham with six deli slices of Van Kass smoked Dutch Gouda cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half. I ate it with a 15 ounce can of corn with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.
I will now go outside and drink a instant coffee.
