10/21/22 Friday 12:45 A.M..  I took the summer quilt and the light summer blanket off the bed, and I stored them away on the left side of the shelf in the bedroom closet.  I put clean linens on the bed.  I  put on the heavy dark blue wool blanket, and the white comforter on the bed.  I also put the light blue and dark blue comforter folded up at the end of the bed and the Hudson Bay blanket folded up at the end of the bed. 

I am pretty much set for winter, except I have to move the snow brushes, snow shovel, and ice scrapers out of the rear of the car to the back seat.

I do not turn the heat on the apartment, until it gets down to around 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

10/20/22 Thursday 9:55 P.M..  I went out to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought the last five gallon bottle of Primo Vermont spring water with bottle return for $7.49 and two 8 ounce Signature grated parmesan cheese for $3.49 each for $14.47 total.  I then drove down the whole length of Greenwich Avenue with nobody out walking, but all of the parking spots were filled up, so people must have been inside dining.  I then went by the http://www.greenwichlibrary.org/ , and I used the bathroom there.  I then sat outside for a while.  I then went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $19 of self service premium gasoline for $4.859 a gallon for 3.912 gallons at odometer reading of 123422 miles for 50.7 miles driven since Wednesday October 12, 2022 for 12.961 miles per gallon in local traffic.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound five gallon bottle of water.  I then put the folding cart back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

I saw Elon Musk walking around Greenwich Avenue three summers ago with two friends.  I guess I should have tried to chat with him, but I try to respect people's privacy in Greenwich.

The way I survived in Key West in the winter of 1977, I was able to charge a bit of food at the Herb Garden health food store, which I paid off when I got my unemployment checks.  I usually charged a loaf of their fresh baked multigrain bread and a pint jar of sesame seed butter.  Of course, when one weighs 125 pounds, one does not have a much weight to drag around.  Maybe they were trying to train me to be an astronaut, since in the old days, every pound in space cost $2 million.  They did use to train astronauts in Key West and the www.navy.mil also used to train people to swim down there.

10/20/22 Thursday 12:30 A.M..  I stored my light summer weight jackets in the left living room closet.  From the left and right living room closets, I got out my heavier winter coats and parkas, and I hung them on the back of the front entrance door and the hooks on the front of the right living room closet.

Key West without money is a good way to lose weight.  When I first went down there on Halloween in 1976, nobody was around, and it was all boarded up, and I weighed 185 pounds.  When I returned after New Years 1977, when my car was towed in Fort Lauderdale, I lost quite a bit of weight until I left in April 1977, and I was down to 125 pounds with a nice tan.  Basically the Social Services were not too good down there.  I could afford to leave in April 1977, when six months of unemployment checks all arrived via General Delivery in April 1977, so I headed North with Jimmy Eldert and returned to www.nantucket.net where I got a bit of work leading to pot scrubber at $2.15 an hour.  Such is life on the road.

10/17/22 Monday 12:15 A.M..  When it gets colder out, I still have to rotate the winter shirts and summer shirts on the left side of the bedroom closet.  I also have to take the summer quilt and summer blanket off the bed and put on the heavier winter blanket and comforter.  In the living room, I have to store away the light weight spring and fall jackets, and put out the heavier winter coats and parkas.  I have not worn the two snow suits for the last couple of winters, since it has not been that frigid cold out the last couple of winters, but I still have them in case in need them in the far left of the left living room closet.  I also have four www.llbean.com union suits https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/47356?page=two-layer-union-suit-mens and long underwear bottoms and heavy sweaters and polar fleeces that I hang on the bedroom door.  I also have snow boots that I have to put out.  CIO

10/16/22 Sunday 10:15 P.M..  I ordered Red Cross Emergency Food 60 servings https://sport.woot.com/offers/american-red-cross-60-serving-emergency-meal?utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=CJ&cjevent=b837cdf94d7a11ed81da32d40a82b836&utm_source=BensBargains.com+%28Internet+Brands%29&cjdata=MXxOfDB8WXww for $66.99 total.  I went downtown after the last note to the Board of Education parking lot Veterans monument.  I sat out for a long time on a nice day.  I used the bathroom twice at www.starbucks.com .  About 5:30 P.M., I drove to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I toured the store.  I sat out a long time until 8 P.M. chatting with another computer person.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I went back into CVS, and I bought buy one get one 50% off of 11.6 ounce Red Baron deep dish pizzas for $5.49 and $2.74 for $8.23 total.  I then returned home.  I sat outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I then disconnected the power to the two portable air conditioners in my apartment, and then I disconnected the exhaust ducts from the windows, and I closed and sealed up the windows.  I moved the tower fan from the hallway to the bedroom window shelf.  I moved the pedestal fan and desk fan in the living room to the far right window shelf in the living room.  I put the breakfast tray back on the living room window sill along side the Ethan Allen recliner with one of the Lasko portable heaters on it with its remote control by it.  I put the plants on the TV table on the window side of the Ethan Allen recliner.  I moved the other Lasko portable heater in front of the mahogany bureau in the living room with its remote control on the left side table of the Queen Anne chair at the hallway entrance.  I went outside again.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/15/22 Saturday 4:15 P.M..  I drove downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center.  I paid a $1.50 to park for an hour and a half, and I sat out observing the weekend pedestrian traffic on a nice day.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought two 8 ounce Cabot Vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese for $2.50 each, two 11.5 ounce Marie Callender chicken sesame bowls for $3 each, a package of Breton multigrain crackers for $3.69, a 59 ounce Simply Orange grapefruit juice for $4.89, and a loaf of Arnold whole wheat multigrain bread for $3.50 for $23.08 total.  I then returned home.  I put my groceries away.  I put the grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  The extra thick precooked Oscar Meyer bacon strips only have six to eight strips of cooked bacon per package, so at today's sale price of $4.50 that is .75 to .55 per strip of cooked bacon.  They also have the 16 ounce Hormel cooked and refrigerated roast beef au jus for $5.99 a package, if one is hungry.  Porterhouse steaks are $12.99 a pound, but they look a bit old.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/15/22 Saturday 12:05 P.M..  I moved the three chrome books from underneath the Queen Anne chair at the hallway entrance to the lower shelf of the oval table on the right side of the Queen Anne chair to have more visible and available.  I moved the two ten packs of www.perrier.com from that location to underneath the waste paper basket at the apartment entrance.  When I first came off www.nantucket.net in December 1983, I went into Manhattan, and I met a doctor who was in charge of keeping people from drinking liquor at the www.un.org .  He looked a bit like Nelson Rockefeller, and he was spending Christmas Day with Happy Rockefeller.  He was drinking Perrier and Angostura bitters.  Perrier is now a Swiss Company, since it is now owned by Nestle a big Swiss food company.  Perrier used to have their corporate headquarters across the street from me in Byram.

!!!!!! 10/15/22 Saturday 10:30 A.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I chatted with a friend.  When I met up with Jimmy Eldert in Santa Cruz, California a few times between 1978 and 1980, I gave him four passwords for a new top secret computer system that he was working on.  I am not sure which order, but I think they were, "sesame", "eureka", "pomegranate", "ellesmere".  However, I am not sure if he got it right.  I said it very quickly.  Back during "911" a now diseased brother in law was at Sun Valley, Idaho, and he and my sister fled Sun Valley and went to https://www.banfflakelouise.com/lake-louise for safety.  The brother in law was personal friends of President George H. W. Bush, so he might have known the right place for safety in case there was a nuclear conflict.  There are a lot of isolated places up North.  I had a second cousin who was a Colonel in the Strategic Air Command during the Viet Nam War, and he retired to Calgary, Canada which is way up in the North West.  The only thing is that they have fifteen foot tall grisly bears way up north.  They world has changed so much, I do not know if the old hide outs are viable anymore.  CIO

!!!!!! 10/14/22 Friday 5:20 P.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  The Amazon Ford truck was here, and it would not start because it had a bad battery.  I tried starting it will the Walmart Stanley Fat Max jump starter, but it was discharged, although I had charged it up recently.  I then tried the Amazon Lithium https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09FP4P6BR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , and it started right up.  I put the positive on the red contact terminal, and the negative on the manifold ground.  It is the first time I have used it.  I guess being lithium it is very powerful unlike the Stanley FatMax.  I had not recharged it in a year, since I bought it, so it holds a charge.  I will now go downtown and forage around on Green Witch Avenue.  CIO

10/12/22 Wednesday 10:25 A.M..  I went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $19.01 of self service premium gasoline at $4.859 a gallon for 3.92 gallons at odometer reading of 123371 miles for 56.1 miles driven since Tuesday September 27, 2022 for 14.312 miles per gallon in local traffic.  While driving downtown, I noticed www.mcdonalds.com on West Putnam Avenue is now opened again.  I went to the Senior and the Arts Center, and I sat out for a long time observing the early morning rush.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road.  There are lots of cars in the train station parking lots.  I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store twice.  I sat out for a long time at the Junior Chamber of Commerce park.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I then sat out in the park again.  I then returned home.  I then sat outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  CIO

10/12/22 Wednesday 6:35 A.M..  I drank my coffee outside.  I was wrong about a bag of apples at the Stop and Shop being 99 cents a bag, they are 99 cents a pound.  Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his résumé did not say he was a lawyer, he said he was an apple farmer.  There are lots of apple tress by his home in Hyde Park, New York.  Being half Dutch America, I have a bit of the Roosevelt family look.  In the 1924 book on the 150 anniversary of the Bank of New York, they say that although Alexander Hamilton started the Bank of New York, it was with Elihu Roosevelt's money.  However, the Roosevelt family in Franklin's day claimed their family did not have any money, but it was his mother's Delano family from Bedford, New York that had all of the money from opium smuggling from the Orient.  CIO

10/11/22 Tuesday 3:15 P.M..  I took two slices of toasted Pepperidge Farm 15 grain bread, and I put Hellmann's mayonnaise on them, and I added eight 1/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop sliced turkey and four 3/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop muster cheese, and I cut the sandwich in half, and I ate it with two medium baked potatoes with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/11/22 Tuesday 2:15 P.M..  I went downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center.  I only paid a dollar to park, since the meter already had a dollar on it.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  At Zen Stationary, I bought an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I won $2 for a dollar profit.  I toured the www.apple.com store.  I stopped by the eye glass store just north of the Apple store.  It is about $250 for an eye exam and a pair of reading glasses.  I sat out more at the Senior and the Arts Center.  I used the bathroom there.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have very good bag lunches to go there for $6.  I then went by the www.chase.com Bank ATM machine at Deerfield Place.  The Deerfield prep school in the old days had a million dollar endowment for good food.  One of Dr. Land's daughters at Polaroid had a son in law that worked there.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a 12 pack of Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, and cheese croissants for $14.99, ten 5.4 ounce Yoplait mixed berry yogurts for $6 all, a box of Grainsfirst crackers for $3.69, and a 42 ounce Birds Eye beef teriyaki Voila frozen meal for $5 for $29.68 total.  I then returned home. I sat outside.  I put away my groceries.  I went outside, and I put the grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee.  The Stop and Shop has non refrigerated 2.5 ounce boxes of both Oscar Meyer and Boars Head cooked bacon for $6.99.  They also have smaller cooked chickens for $4.99 and the larger ones are still $7.99.  At the north end of their parking lot, they have three blue containers for donating old clothing and shoes now.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/10/22 Monday 9:45 A.M..  I drove down to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.  I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce park across the street.  I then drove down to the Senior and the Arts Center.  I sat for a while.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  Good News since today is Columbus Day Holiday, one does not have to pay to park on Greenwich Avenue or downtown https://www.greenwichct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/24410/Holiday-Schedule-Calendar-Year-2022 .  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a six pack of Stop and Shop multigrain English muffins for $3.49, a 48 ounce Silk Vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.39, two 8 ounce Cabot extra sharp cheddar cheese for $2.50 each, two 9 ounce Oscar Meyer sliced turkey for $4 each, two 14.5 ounce Boston Market Salisbury steak dinners for $3 each, a box of grain first crackers for $3.69 for $38.55 total.  The Cabot family are an old New England family.  In the old days out on www.nantucket.net , the Lowell family only talked the Lodge family, and the Lodge family only talked to the Cabot family in Northeast Harbor, Maine, and the Cabot family only talked to God.  So much for New England democracy.  Up in Nantucket, I used to see Henry Cabot Lodge Junior all of the time who was Richard Nixon's ambassador to Viet Nam all of the time having breakfast at the Dory restaurant on India Street.  He liked watching the CNN news on their television.  His wife would pick up his legal brief cases every day at the late afternoon ferry with their Basset Hound.  I then returned home.  I sat outside.  I put away the groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car, and I sat outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/09/22 Sunday 12:50 P.M..  I chatted with a friend.  I went outside, and I drank a decaf coffee.  From underneath the Ethan Allen recliner, and I pulled out the spare Bush's baked beans and spare B&M baked beans and the spare Campbell's onion soup, and I put them underneath the pineapple chunks and mandarin oranges underneath the mahogany made in Viet Nam folding chair in the kitchen.  From underneath the computer desk to the left of the primary work computer, I pulled out four 38 ounce cans of Dinty Moore stew, and I stored it on the lower shelf of the mahogany table at the apartment entrance with the Hormel 90 second meals.  I still have Pennsylvania Dutch egg noodles underneath that computer desk.  CIO

10/07/22 Friday 10:00 A.M..  I went downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center, and I sat out there until 7 A.M..  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  They are installing the Holiday Lights on Greenwich Avenue.  I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue at opening.  I bought buy one get one 50% off of 4 inch by 6 inch pictures frames for $3.99 and $1.99 and .38 tax for $6.36 total.  I then bought buy one get one 30% off of Aleve 200 capsule arthritis formula for $21.49 first less other coupons for $22.60 total.  I then sat out at the Junior Chamber of Commerce across the street.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought two Boston Market 14.5 ounce Salisbury steak meals for $3 each and two Boston Market 16 ounce chicken pot pies for $3 each and a 59 ounce Simply Orange grapefruit juice for $4.89 for $16.89 total.  I then returned home.  I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  I also replaced a broken picture frame with one of the new picture frames.  CIO

10/07/22 Friday 5:40 A.M..  Where Julie Bolton lived at 315 West 74th Street, when I was there, it was owned by there the Van Duzen family.  According to the New York Times about twenty years ago, there are 320 thousand members of the Van Duzen family in America.  Also General Westmoreland's wife's family were from the Van Duzen family.  I will now go downtown to Green Witch Avenue to see the start of the day.  CIO

10/07/22 Friday 5:20 A.M..  I am about to eat a 16 ounce Marie Callender turkey pot pie with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  Around 1975, Fred Von Mierers organized a fund raising party at the Plaza Hotel for Gerry Ford and Nelson Rockefeller, where they served home made chicken pot pies.  In my youth Swanson of Morton chicken pot pies were four of five for a dollar, but they were only about ten ounces.  Where I live in public housing at the old school at 71 Vinci Drive in the Byram Section of Greenwich is also the site of the old Lyon Farm homestead that ran from Long Island Sound to Glenville section of Greenwich in the old days.  I went to Greenwich Country Day with members of the Lyon family.  Also out on Nantucket, there is a Lyon Farm Road off the road to Sconset.  Also the Queen Mum of England was from the Bowles Lyon family if you get my drift.  CIO

10/07/22 Friday 4:45 A.M..  When I was around Greenwich Village in the period from March 1973 to February 1975, I spent New Years Eve of January 1974 with John Michael Barrett and Tom Watson of IBM's daughter Olive Watson.  She lived on East 57th Street in Manhattan.  In that period at Seventh Avenue and Ninth Street, they took the Women's House of Detention that Eleanor Roosevelt like touring, and they changed it to the Greenwich Village Public Library.  Also in the Chelsea area of Manhattan at around West 13th Street and the Hudson River, there was an octagon building called the Jane West Hotel, where Herman Melville lived when he wrote Moby Dick.  In the novel Moby Dick there is only a two page mention of www.nantucket.net calling it a fog covered island with barnacles covering everything.  In the period from December 1980 to February 1982, when I lived with John Bolton's mother Julie Bolton at 315 West 74th Street with her white German Shepard and Doberman Pincher, she had been the secretary to the www.nyu.edu School of Business head.  Later on in that same period she was the head of word processing at Cyrus Vance's law firm at Madison Avenue and 57th Street across the street from the www.ibm.com New York City headquarters and adjacent to the www.att.com New York City headquarters.  I frequently went down to a Greenwich Village pub across from Ed Koch's apartment on Greenwich Street at Charles Street called Uncle Charlie's' with a lot of NYU students.  It was near David May's apartment on West 13th Street that did public relations for IBM and the Greta Garbo home for wayward boys that was the headquarters for British Intelligence during World War II.  A lot of Ronald Reagan's son's friends were also there.  Uncle Charlie was also George Cary's aunt's husband name who was the brother in law of W. Averill Harriman the former governor of New York.  At the time, they used an actor that looked like Charlie Chaplin to advertise IBM.  There were a number of computer people also in the lofts in the Chelsea area of Manhattan.  George Cary's Uncle Charlie lived near the IBM Country Club in Sands Point, Long Island, so possibly they had investments in IBM.  Also Julie Bolton's ex husband was a software engineer in the United States State Department in Libya, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.  He lived with her sons on Bar Beach Road in Port Washington, Long Island near Sands Point.  I built the garage apartment in Plandome Manor, Long Island from April 1982 to February 1983, for Julie's mother Vivian West who owned a reinsurance company that insured the refineries in New Jersey, and her lawyer lived on Round Hill Road in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Basically I once knew a few people besides Greenwich people, but it never lead to any long term employment.  I guess these political people come and go like dust in the wind.  Also when I knew Fred Von Mierers in Manhattan, he introduced me to a women named Van Rensler whose family used to own all of New York State.  When I met Jimmy Eldert in October 1973, although he was from Syracuse, he was also from one of the first Dutch families in Manhattan in New Amsterdam.  In that first period of Manhattan, there were two Scott family members that had farms in Manhattan, one of whom was the first sexton of the first Dutch Reform Church in Manhattan, but they only had daughters, so one of the daughters married into the Jay family and the Scott family property became the Jay family property.  The Scott family farm in New Amsterdam was called Bloomingdale Farm, so they probably had some sort of European connections with the British and Dutch West Indies companies.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/07/22 Friday 2:25 A.M..  I went outside again.  When I met John Michael Barrat and his roommate Michael Bright where they were working as waiters at Daly's Dandelion at 59th Street and First Avenue in October 1973, which was next to Ford Modeling, so all of the models would frequent there.  I also met Shawn Hemingway there who was Ernest Hemingway's nephew just getting out of school in Switzerland.  They also had John Lindsay's retirement party there.  Michael Bright's uncle was the head of neurology at Sloan Kettering Hospital.  Michael Bright was from Stonington, Connecticut.  Both John and Michael were part time actors at CBS.  John's family owned the lime stone quarry in Bloomington, Indiana where all of the limestone for St. John the Devine in Manhattan and the National Cathedral was supplied from.  Their pink carriage house on Minetta Lane on the southwest corner of Washington Square was where both Ernest Hemingway and William Faulkner had lived at one time.  The Barett family also had a major presence out on www.nantucket.net .  John later worked at the Spring Street restaurant in SoHo.  Nearby on the west side of Washington Square was a seven story apartment building where Eleanor Roosevelt had lived after being First Lady.  That building is owned by Grace Church on University Place and 13th Street, one of the wealthiest churches in Manhattan.  People make their rent checks out to Grace Church, so they can claim them as tax deductions.  Fred Von Mierers' major domo Ed Powers also worked at Grace Church.  Grace Church was wealthy from when the New York 400 Society lived around Astor Place.  I will now go outside again.  CIO 

10/07/22 Friday 1:25 A.M..  I woke up from my nap at 12:45 A.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  A friend on mine in Manhattan named John Michael Barrat from Bloomington, Indiana lived in a small carriage house on Minneta Lane on the southwest corner of Washington Square.  On the street just north of him which I think is Little West Fourth Street on the west side of Washington Square, they built one of the first www.mcdonalds.com in Manhattan where I think I also ate at one time.  In Greenwich, I had a Greenwich Country Day classmate named Rocky Shepard whom lived across the street on North Maple across from Avery Rockefeller and near Dorothy Bush on Pheasant Lane.  According to the Greenwich Time his father who was the editor of Look Magazine retired to Sanibel Island where he passed away, so there might be other Greenwich people there too where there was Hurricane Ian damage.  At one time Lowell Weicker had a house nearby there on Cedar Key, but the last time I chatted with him, he told me he had a house on an island south of St. Thomas.  I will now shower and clean up.  CIO

10/06/22 Thursday 10:05 P.M..  I woke up again at 7 A.M..  I went outside.  I chatted with two friends and a relative.  I went outside a couple of times.  I ate a 5.4 ounce Yoplait berry yogurt.  I went back to bed at 10 A.M.. I woke up at 9:15 P.M.. I made my bed.  I went outside. I picked up the mail.  I will eat a Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg, and cheese sandwich with two toasted English muffins with Smart Balance spread, and pineapple chunks with Mandarin orange slices, and a glass of Primo Vermont spring water with some pineapple juice and cranberry juice and a cup of coffee with artificial sweetener and almond milk.

As I recall I did eat on Wall Street a couple of time.  I once was taken to lunch with General Pershing's grandson at an exclusive men's club on Wall Street by somebody from Macarthur and Company, the General's wife's company.  I also ate twice at the Chase Plaza cafeteria with one sister who worked at the law firm of Cravath Swaine and Moore law firm and another sister that worked at Davis Polks and Wardwell law firm.  CIO        

10/06/22 Thursday 6:10 A.M..  I drove down to the Board of Education Veterans monument, and I sat our for a while.  www.starbucks.com appears to have opened at 5 A.M..  I then drove down by the waterfront on Steamboat Road and around downtown, and I returned home, and I sat outside briefly.  I have also eatened in Manhattan at the Chopping Block at Madison Avenue and East 65th Street.  I also once ate at the River Club at East 52nd Street with George Cary's parents and his cousin Celia Rumsey.  I also have eaten at the Union League Club at Park Avenue and East 64th Street with my family and once at a Taft School dinner there.  I once set at the head table at the Metropolitan Opera with Helen Kress Williams, but I am not sure whether we ate or not.  I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

Fred Von Mierers took me to the Isle of Capri a number of times at Third Avenue at 58th Street near Bill Baldwin's studio.  I recall also eating at Pear Trees at 49th Street and First Avenue.  Fred also took me and friends to dinner a number of times at the Spring Street restaurant at Spring Street in SoHo.  We also ate at Pearl's on Second Avenue in the East Village.  Also we ate at Down on the Farm in West Village a couple of times.  I ate at the Waverly Tavern a few times in the West Village.  I also ate a few times at Regine's at Second Avenue and 87th street.  I also ate a few times at the Mayfair restaurant at First Avenue and 54th Street.  I also ate at the Brasseries in the basement of the Seagram's building a number of times.  I also ate at the Automat at Second Avenue and East 42nd Street.  I also ate at the Cafeteria at Madison Avenue and 77th Street.  I also ate at the little restaurant at Madison Avenue and 64 Street.  I also ate at Yellow Fingers at Third Avenue and 58th Street.  I also at Lum's across from the Roosevelt Federal building at Third Avenue and 55th Street.  I also ate at the Town House restaurant at East 58th Street.  I also ate at Cafe Des Artistes on West 71st Street.  I bought roast beef sandwiches a lot of times at the Gristedes on West 72nd Street.  I also at McDonalds behind Lincoln Center.  I also ate at Pizza Duo behind the Natural History Museum.  I think I once had a hamburger at the Julius bar on West 9th Street.  I also ate at the Front Porch restaurant on West 9th Street.  I also ate at David's Pot Belly on Christopher Street.  I once had a hamburger at the Eagle bar on West 20th Street.  I shopped at the Gristedes on West 72nd Street, and Fairway market on Broadway and about 79th street and Zabars near the same location.  I also shopped at the A&P at Second Avenue and 50th Street and the A&P at Eighth Avenue and 19th Street.  I once ate at Texarkana on West 13th Street.  I ate a few times at Nathan's on Seventh Avenue and the West Village.  I also ate at Ray's Pizza near that location and the one at Lexington Avenue and 74th Street near where the Bagel shop where I would buy bagels when I drove out of Manhattan in the early morning hours.  I ate at Schraffs on Fifth Avenue near Rockefeller Center.  I ate at the Carnegie deli at Carnegie Hall on West 57th Street.  I ate at www.cbsnews.com on West 57th Street and Tenth Avenue when I worked there.  On Tenth Avenue and west 50th Street,, there was another place I forget its name.  I also ate at the King Cole Room at the St. Regis Hotel a couple of times.  I also ate at Trader Vics a few times at the Plaza Hotel.  At Second Avenue and East 84th Street, there was a Hungarian restaurant I ate at.  On West 86th Street, there was Old Heidelberg German restaurant and Philadelphia Phil's cheese steaks.  I also ate at the restaurant behind Bloomingdales whose name I forget.  I also shopped at Gristedes on East 49th Street.  I have eaten at the big Chinese restaurant at Park Avenue and 40th Street a couple of times.  I have eaten at Tad's steak house a number of times near the Empire State Building and Broadway.  At Madison Avenue and East 32nd Street, there is a 24 hour restaurant.  I have eaten at the German restaurant at Union Square named Luchows.  I used to buy coffee at McNulty's on West Christopher Street.  I also ate at the Empire diner at Tenth Avenue and West 22nd Street.  I had a drink a few times at Max's Kansas City near Union Square, but I never ate there.  I used to keep an eye on a lot of pubs in Manhattan, but I never had the money to drink hardly at all.  I ate at the Elephant and Castle on Greenwich Street in Greenwich Village.  I think I have shopped at Balduccis at Seventh Avenue and Ninth Street.  I could never afford to eat down on Wall Street or Times Square.  I will now go downtown to Green Witch Avenue to watch the start of the day.  CIO 

10/06/22 Thursday 3:40 A.M..  I cleaned out the kitchen toaster.  I took two slices of toasted Pepperidge Farm whole wheat with seeds bread, and I put Hellmann's mayonnaise on them, and I added eight 1/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop sliced turkey and three 3/32nd inch thick slices of Stop and Shop muster cheese, and I cut the sandwich in half, and I ate it with two medium small baked potatoes with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  I will now go outside again and drink a brewed coffee.  The Mobil station kitty corner from the CVS at 644 West Putnam Avenue has a mini Dunkin Donuts shop opened 24 hours.  CIO

10/06/22 Thursday 2:45 A.M..  Back in the old days on and off in Manhattan from October 1973 to February 1975 and from December 1980 to February 1982, I knew some inexpensive places to eat.  There was the 24 hour "Thieves Deli" in the east side of Second Avenue and 50th Street.  On the east side of First Avenue and 50th Street, there was a Greek coffee shop.  On East 86th Street around Lexington Avenue, there was the Old Dutch Deli.  In Greenwich Village on Greenwich Street at Charles street there was an inexpensive restaurant.  Also on University Place just north of 13th Street, there was a Souvlaki Stand.  On Little West Fourth Street west of Washington Square, there was the Bagel restaurant.  On Seventh Avenue just south of 9th Street, there was the Rivera Cafe.  Just south of Christopher Street on Seventh Avenue, there was the Buffalo Road House.  On Third Avenue on the east side at 73rd Street, there was J.G. 10/04/22 Tuesday 6:40 P.M..  I woke up at 6 P.M..  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I picked up the mail.  I will eat a Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg, and cheese sandwich with two toasted English muffins with Smart Balance spread, and pineapple chunks with Mandarin orange slices, and a glass of Primo Vermont spring water with some pineapple juice and cranberry juice and a cup of coffee with artificial sweetener and almond milk.  CIO    

10/04/22 Tuesday 7:55 A.M..  Off HBO Max, I watched series series 5 episode 3 and 4 of, "Game of Thrones."  I went outside twice.  I chatted with a friend.  I will now shut down the primary work computer.  I will go outside.  I will then go to bed.  CIO

10/04/22 Tuesday 4:50 A.M..  Off HBO Max, I watched series series 5 episode 2 of, "Game of Thrones."  I took two 3.5 ounces tins of Ocean Prine sardines with Louisiana hot sauce and a 5 ounce tin of drained Bumble Bee solid white albacore tuna fish, and I mixed it together with Ken's Caesar dressing, and I ate it all with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice and a medium large baked potatoes with Smart Balance spread.  I will now go outside again and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

10/02/22 Sunday 11:00 P.M..  I went out again before breakfast, and I threw out the waste paper.  After breakfast I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I then went out to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, but they were closed.  I returned a Primo bottle in their outside bottle machine.  I then went to the www.chase.com Bank ATM machine at the top of Greenwich Avenue.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and they are opened until 11 P.M. on Sunday night.  I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return coupon for $8.99 and a 32 ounce Simply Orange grapefruit juice for $4.89 for $13.88 total.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water.  I then put the folding cart back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

10/01/22 Saturday 2:00 A.M..  This antenna is supposed to improve AM reception on the Eton radio https://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/portable/0063.html .  The is an MW plug on the back of the Eton radio to take a positive and  negative radio AM antenna.  The Greenwich Radio Station WGCH 1490 works on the other over the air radios in the apartment, so it is not a big deal.

10/01/22 Saturday 12:10 A.M..  On the Ocean Digital internet radio on the right side of the Queen Anne chair at the hallway entrance under Oceana, one can pick up two English speaking radio stations from Bermuda and five in an Asian language some of which do not work.  I also reset the new Eton radio to get its hand dial to work.  It has a weak AM signal, but its FM signal is strong, and it does get some SW radio stations under SW1.  I will now go outside again.  CIO
