11/30/23 Thursday 10:00 P.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six slices of deli sliced ham with four slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar and six ounces of garlic and parmesan mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very thin, but the cheese is just as thin , so it is basically a ham and cheese sandwich.

I will now rest some more.  CIO

11/30/23 Thursday 9:20 P.M.  I moved the little light with the red bulb from the living room window sill to in between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair on the small oak table with display devices and remote controls.  I put a low light white bent tip bulb in it.

I will now go outside again.  CIO

11/30/23 Thursday 9:05 P.M.  I took the extra coats off the hooks on the front of the right living room closet, and I put them in the right living room closet, and I took out a bit blue heavy coat, and I hung it on the back hooks of the apartment entrance door.  The hooks on the right living room closet are still available for hanging hooks.

11/30/23 Thursday 7:25 P.M.  I drove downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I toured the store.  I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park for a while.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee.  I then sat out some more in the park.  I then drove down to the Board of Education Parking Lot Veterans Monument, and I sat out for a while.  I then went by Greenwich Shell.  I bought $24.04 off of self service premium gasoline for $4.599 a gallon for 5.228 gallons at odometer reading of 125039 miles for 67.5 miles driven since Wednesday November 15, 2023 for 12.912 miles per gallon in local traffic.  I then returned home.  I picked up the mail.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

11/30/23 Thursday 5:30 P.M.  I rested until 4:15 P.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I moved the folding mahogany chair from Viet Nam back into the kitchen, and I moved the bent oak chair from the kitchen along with the third bent oak chair from the oak dining table along side each other behind the Queen Anne chair in the living room.

11/30/23 Thursday 2:20 P.M.  I woke up at 1:15 P.M..  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I will eat a Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg, and cheese croissant with a toasted bagel with Smart Balance spread, and pineapple chunks with mandarin oranges, and a glass of spring water with some pineapple juice and cranberry juice and a cup of coffee with artificial sweetener and almond milk.  I will first go outside again.

11/30/23 Thursday 3:10 A.M.  I channel surfed.  I used to know where Henry Kissinger had an apartment in Manhattan, but once about twenty years ago in the summer, there was a man sitting outside my current apartment building with a hat on that said, "Shalom," that looked like Henry Kissinger.

I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

11/30/23 Thursday 1:05 A.M.  I took the pictures off the left living room closet and stored them away on top of the center hallway bookcase.  I then removed the left living room closet door, and I adjusted it, so it is about three fourths of an inch higher.  I then reinstalled the left living room closet door.  I then moved the three foot by five foot area rug from underneath the Queen Anne chair, so it goes right up to the left living room closet door, and the door swings open easily above it.  I put the small white throw rug in the open space in front of the Queen Anne chair.  I put the volcano calendar and the thermometer on the left living room closet door.

11/29/23 Wednesday 11:55 P.M.  I took the last inch thick piece of Angus roast beef, and I put it on a microwave proof plate with microwave lid, and I heated it for 2.5 minutes at 60% microwave power.  I ate it with six ounces of garlic and parmesan mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread and a 8 ounce package of Green Giant microwave baby Brussels sprouts with butter sauce and a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.

I moved the three foot by five foot area rug from underneath the Queen Anne chair facing the television, and I moved it closer to the left living closet covering the floor at that location.  I can not move it any closer, because the closet door will not clear it.  I put the smaller white area rug in the rug gap behind the Queen Anne chair.

11/29/23 Wednesday 10:30 P.M.  I watched the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree special, and I drank a brewed coffee outside half way through.  I am now watching the Elvis Graceland special.

I got a new decorating inspiration.  I moved the www.hoover.com upright vacuum and its accessories to the left side of the bedroom bed.  I then moved the brass and glass end table from the far side of the Ethan Allen recliner to its left side.  I also moved the Ethan Allen recliner a foot closer to the living room windows.  I then moved the Queen Anne chair at the hallway entrance to along side of the Ethan Allen recliner with both of them facing the televisions with the dark oak table with remote controls and the brass and glass end table with remote controls in between the Queen Anne chair and the Ethan Allen recliner.  I put the Boston Cider jug lamp back on the left side of the Queen Anne chair underneath the living room windows.  I moved the folding oak table from in front of the left living room closet to behind the bedroom door.  On the oak dining table, I moved the four tablets to the left side of the primary work computer on the oak dining table.  I then moved the bent oak chair from in front of the left living room closet as a third chair at the oak dining table.  I moved the new desk fan and the spare florescent bulbs on the left living room closet shelf.  Thus the apartment is set up better for watching television in the living room, and the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair facing the televisions are a lot more comfortable than an inexpensive sofa.  Also there is nothing in front of the left living room closet, so it can be easily opened for more formal clothes and shoes, if one needs to dress up versus the Greenwich Dirt Bag look.

11/29/23 Wednesday 6:00 P.M.  I went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I got a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $9.99, a package of Toufani whole wheat pita bread for $4.59, a tray of garlic parmesan mashed potatoes for $3.50, a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.99 for $24.07 total.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water.  I put the other food away.  On the way up, I picked up the mail.  I then went outside, and I put the folding cart and grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  CIO

When I lived in Manhattan, I never paid much attention to busy Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center, since I liked to explore some of the quieter areas of Manhattan at night.  I remember walking around on cold winter's nights with not too many people around.  I guess most people in the City prefer the daytime schedule.  After a six inch snow storm around 1974, Jimmy Eldert and I walked around Midtown, and Jimmy Eldert took off his shoes and walked around barefoot in the snow, so I guess coming from Syracuse, he is a real cold weather person.  Alas, I lost track of him, when he moved to California, and when I returned to Greenwich on December 13, 1983 from www.nantucket.net , I sometimes would call up his expensive telephone number at the Malibu Colony, and all I would get was the Flintstones cartoon theme song on his answering machine.  I do know when he worked as a disk jockey at the Catholic Church radio station in Santa Cruz, he had a very good hear for music, and it broadcast to nearby Fort Ord.  He also lived near https://us.oneill.com/ surf shop in Santa Cruz and being an expert gymnast, I think he knew how to surf.  Alas Key West is calm water most of the time, so there is only wind surfing down there.  Since I do not know Spanish, and I usually spoke a lot of French in South Florida, I was frequently misunderstood by the Spanish speaking population and those whom spoke other languages.  In the winters of 1977 and 1978, I did spend a lot of time reading in the https://keyslibraries.org/ , and in that period they even put my picture reading there in the Key West Citizen newspaper.  I guess when I returned their in February 1982 the last time, the few friends that I knew that had connections there were no long there, so they found me a bother and got rid of me very quickly never to return.  Through other Florida connections I had family in Vero Beach, Florida, and back in 1954 to 1956, my father was the assistant plant manager for the Chemstrand Nylon plant in Pensacola, Florida which at the time was one of the larger employers in Florida.  He even had five thousand Navy wives working at the Nylon plant.  I think back then Nylon was used to make tires, and we even once flew up to Akron, Ohio on the Chemstrand DC-3 plane and visited the Firestone family that used to make tires.  When we moved to Decatur, Alabama, I flew down a couple of times to Pensacola with my father on the Company Plane full of Japanese associates.  There was even a bar in Pensacola called "The Driftwood", where all of the Navy pilots frequented.  Alas that experience as a youth in Pensacola did not transfer easily to Key West and South Florida, since I am basically a Yankee having lived up North most of my life.  When I went down to Fort Lauderdale during the Grenada Invasion in October 1983 before returning to Greenwich, they had a large cold weather snow ski show going on at the Fort Lauderdale armory, so I guess some people venture up North in the Winter.  There are a lot of Canadians in South Florida, since they seem to get down there first.  I once read the Jimmy Buffett was from North Dakota, and he just go down there earlier.  Ernest Hemingway even had a place Idaho.  From what I know a cheap way to get to Key West is to take the Amtrak train to Miami and transfer to a Grey Hound Bus down there, but one probably needs money, once one gets there; since they expect snow birds to have money.  Most everyone shopped in the Navy Commissary in Key West, so there is a lot of military down there, but they usually wear civilian clothes.

11/29/23 Wednesday 3:40 A.M.  On the Dell Optiplex 790 SFF on the living room desk with dual partitions, I activated the Windows 12 beta partition.  I installed and activated Office 2021 on it.  I also installed the drivers for the Xerox color laser printer on it.  I also installed and activated Norton Internet Security Deluxe on it.  Thus the Windows 12 beta partition and the Windows 10 partition are both ready to use.

I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

11/29/23 Wednesday 1:55 A.M.  I channel surfed.  Off Amazon Prime, I watched episode 8 of, "007, Road to a Million."

When I lived in Boston, I recall reading the complete collections of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels, which paper backs were about the only books in my garage apartment above my 1951 Mercedes 300 B I worked on restoring when not working at Polaroid.  I was told the son of Bill Takikaki used my room, when he was going to Harvard Business School while I was at www.lakeforest.edu .  Since Bill Takikaki was the President of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, maybe his son read my books and knows something about James Bond.  I do know I once read that Mitsubishi bought a country club up in Armonk, New York nearby; so maybe the Japanese know something I have not yet been able to figure out.

11/28/23 Tuesday 11:30 P.M.  I watched off C Span the end of the Rosalyn Carter memorial service.  When I returned to www.nantucket.net in the summer of 1975, I saw a roommate from www.lakeforest.edu named Carter Bacon that lived next door to the Robert Kennedy family in Hyanisport, and I also met up with Jimmy Eldert whose grandfather lived next door to Richard Nixon in Key Biscayne.  At the first of the year in 1976, I moved to Greenville, South Carolina to work as an expeditor for Daniel Construction now a part of www.fluor.com .  I would drive down to Atlanta on weekends and tour around.  One weekend, I heard off my 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne radio that Jimmy Carter was announcing for President, so I drove two hours south to Plains, Georgia, and I toured around.  I saw the Carters, when they showed up at the Holiday Inn there.  The following year, when I was returning from South Florida in April 1977, I drove through Plains, Georgia and toured around, when Jimmy Carter had become President.  I guess I would have again seen the Carters again, when I was at Ronald Reagan's first inaugural.  I recall in July or August 1980, when I flew out to California, and I was flying up and down the Coast, since I did not have a car, I sat next to a young girl on a flight that looked like Amy Carter.  In that period without communications, when one was traveling, one would occasionally see somebody that one was supposed to recognize, but without the internet, television, or telephone, one just wandered what it all about.  I recall in April 1977 after touring Plains, Georgia, I drove up to Atlanta to visit my youngest sister and brother in law.  We went to the Atlanta Hartsdale airport, and we met my mother coming off an arriving flight, and about fifty military officers in full dress uniform came off the flight before my mother showed up.  I was sort of curious what she was doing, while I was homeless that winter in South Florida in Fort Lauderdale and Key West and lost weight from 185 pounds in Greenville, South Carolina to 125 pounds in Key West, Florida.  There was somebody down in Key West that I saw all of the time that I thought was Jimmy Carter, but he was six feet tall not five foot ten inches.  Still I thought since Jimmy Carter had served in the Navy, he might have had a house in Key West.  Alas Jimmy Eldert seemed to be the only person that I knew in Key West that knew what was going on, when I was walking back and forth constantly between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.  Rob Glore from the www.dupont.com family that I also knew down there had a craft shop across from the Post Office, but he hardly ever showed up in public.  Jimmy worked at the Pier House as a bus boy, until in April 1977, I got my six months of unemployment checks from Daniel Construction at one time, and Rob Glore cashed the checks, and Jimmy and I drove as far North as Jacksonville, where we visited Hurley Haywood, and I gave Jimmy $400 to catch a flight back to the University of New Hampshire, where he was supposed to be in school, and I drove North back to Greenwich and then up to Nantucket, when I gave away the car to the Nantucket Hospital Thrift Shop on India Street.  In my period that time in South Florida, I was threatened a number of times, so I basically tried living out of my car until January 1977, when it was towed for too many parking tickets at the swimming hall of fame, and I recall taking a bus to Key West where I eventually met up with Jimmy Eldert.  In that period there was a major Howard Hughes presence in Fort Lauderdale with Hughes Medical and TWA down there.  In Key West, there was a major Pan American Airlines presence, so I was going back and forth between two different airlines.

After watching the memorial service, I went outside again.

11/28/23 Tuesday 7:35 P.M.  I rested a bit.  I channel surfed.  I went outside.  I cut off one inch thick slice of medium rare Prime Rib of roast beef, and I reheated it for 110 seconds at 60% power in the microwave on a microwave proof plate with microwave lid.  I ate it with 12 ounces of reheated Bob Evans garlic mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread with a 8 ounce packet of Green Giant microwave baby Brussels sprouts with butter sauce and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with one ounce of grapefruit juice.

11/28/23 Tuesday 1:55 A.M.  On the Dell Optiplex 790 SFF on the right side of the primary work computer on the living room desk, I took out the SSD drive with dual Windows 12 betas on it, and I put in a SSD drive from the same type of computer that I threw out with Windows 10 and Windows 12 beta.  The Windows 10 partition also has the complete Microsoft Office 2021 Office suite with extra programs.  I installed the drivers for the Xerox color laser printer.

Because of some complications, it took a while.  I went out at midnight, and I drank a cup of coffee, and I will now go out and drink a cup of coffee.  CIO 

11/27/23 Monday 9:20 P.M.  I channel surfed.  I rested a bit.  There were not too many people downtown this afternoon.  There were just a few Senior Citizens downtown and a few Senior Citizens at the Stop and Shop.  I guess the younger generation are away some place else doing what ever it is that they do.  In my days in Manhattan, the Senior Citizens used to sit in Central Park on the benches along Fifth Avenue with their health care attendants, and some would feed the pigeons.

By my accounting, I donated about $8,000 or more to the Ronald Reagan Campaign in 1980 along with two expensive trips to California, but they never gave me a job when he got elected, even though I went to his first inaugural, so I guess there was some friction from previous administrations that he did not want to deal with me.  Maybe it is just that I am a Cold Weather person, and he was from warm California.  The Northern people here know there are a lot more people further up North.

11/27/23 Monday 6:55 P.M.  I cut off a .75 inch thick slice of medium rare Prime Rib of roast beef, and I reheated it for 100 seconds at 60% power in the microwave on a microwave proof plate with microwave lid.  I ate it with 12 ounces of reheated Bob Evans garlic mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread with a 8 ounce packet of Green Giant microwave baby Brussels sprouts with butter sauce and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with one ounce of grapefruit juice.

I will now go outside and give the roast beef bones to our fierce guard dog in the building.   CIO

11/27/23 Monday 2:20 P.M.  I went outside again.  At www.lakeforest.edu I knew George Gordon Cary from East Aurora, New York whose father was on the board of overseers for www.harvard.edu .  When my family lived in Boston, we knew Oie Wood whose father was also on the Board of Overseers for Harvard and whose grandfather started the Nantucket Yacht Club.  Back in 1971, when my father was a Vice President of Polaroid, he was also in charge of the Polaroid Foundation that gave $10 million to the Roland Institute at Harvard.  Alas those Harvard connections do not work in Greenwich.  I also knew James Paul Warburg Junior from Greenwich who dropped out of Harvard, and whose father started the Warburg Chair of Economics at Harvard.  Amongst famous people who once went to Harvard, the King of Sweden attended Harvard.  The Aga Khan attended Harvard.  The King of Thailand was born in Cambridge when his parents were attending Harvard.  The Empress of Japan also attended Radcliff College up at Harvard.

11/27/23 Monday 1:35 P.M.  I rested until 12:45 P.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I showed the building custodian my new apartment setup.  He liked it.  As I recall, the first time I went to www.nantucket.net was back in the summer of 1968, when my family lived in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  I recall staying in an apartment on Orange Street that George Witbold from Greenwich had with a lot of other kids from Greenwich.

11/26/23 Sunday 9:30 P.M.  I channel surfed.  I will now go outside again.  When I was camping out on Nantucket in the summer of 1975, I met a Scottish Jewish fellow who owned a rare book store in Hartford, Connecticut.  He mentioned the Nantucket Athenaeum library had an original copy of this book I think https://www.google.com/books/edition/Cordova_A_city_of_the_Moors/ZudZdIFTp5wC?hl=en&gbpv=1&printsec=frontcover .  He also told me, they had a collection of 22 different versions of the Wizard of Oz.  I noticed on the second floor of that library, there were over a thousand books on Genealogy.

11/26/23 Sunday 4:40 P.M.  Back when I met John Bolton in Key West in February 1978, when I got back from Nassau in the Bahamas, where I stayed with a Prince Charles look alike, John had $1500 cash.  He did invest $400 of it with somebody named "Stormy" that we never saw again.  John and I lived at the Casa Marina Hotel while it was under construction.  We ate simply.  We would eat fresh Cuban bread and orange juice for breakfast and for dinner we would eat pancakes for $2 each or beans and rice for $2 each.  When we went back up to www.nantucket.net , we lived in the back room of Mrs. Florence Frances' guest house at 31 India Street.  John worked at Cumberland Farms, and I worked at Le Languedoc.  We also worked on painting a million dollar house on Lincoln Avenue over looking the Harbor.  About the only person that we knew was Chris Knight from Williams College.  Somebody with that name showed up as writer for Amtrak magazine when I took the Amtrak to Philadelphia a long time ago.  Chris Knight knew the family that had a house with a green house behind the Pacific Bank.  He looked like Robert Redford.  Somebody that looked like him showed up as a Navy Aid at the Reagan Ranch years ago in Santa Barbara.  Somebody with the last name Knight used to be the head of the United States Secret Service too.

11/26/23 Sunday 2:25 P.M.  I cut off a .75 inch thick slice of medium rare Prime Rib of roast beef, and I reheated it for 90 seconds at 60% power in the microwave.  I ate it with 12 ounces of reheated Bob Evans garlic mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread with a 8 ounce packet of Green Giant microwave baby Brussels sprouts with butter sauce and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.

11/25/23 Saturday 3:30 P.M.  Half of the $50 roast beef was paid for by my $25 Greenwich Communities gift card at Acme, when the roast beef was on sale for $8.99 a pound.  I will eat two half inch thick medium rare slices with 12 ounces of Bob Evens garlic mashed potatoes with Smart Balance spread and a 8 ounce package of Green Giant microwave Brussels sprouts with butter sauce and a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.  Having gone to www.lakeforest.edu college from 1968 to 1972 out in Lake Forest, Illinois around the Amour, Swift, Cudahay, and www.mcdonalds.com meat packing families, I learned they do know how to put on the feed bag in the Midwest.  When I was around Jimmy Eldert in Key West in the winter of 1977 where everyone was vegetarians, he told me when he got back to Syracuse, New York; he was going to eat some roast beef.  When I was in Daytona, Florida in the winter of 1979, living off a 8 ounce can of tomato paste and pasta, the last week there, we got $50 in Food Stamps, and we drove up to my mother's apartment in Byram, and I went out to Bonjournos in Stamford with those $50 in Food Stamps, and I bought a big roast beef for $50 which was greatly appreciated by mother's friends in Byram.  I once read on the internet that they have so much beef in Omaha, Nebraska, that the homeless shelter there serves roast beef.  At Durgan Park in Boston by the Callahan Tunnel when my family lived there until June 1973, they served a big thick pieces of roast beef for $7.  Chucks Steak House when it was opened in Darien used to serve Prime Rib of Roast beef for $15.  The last time I visited Washington D.C., a friend took me to a roast beef dinner at a restaurant on www.dupont.com Circle for roast beef for about the same price.  However, with the regular price of roast beef being $14.99 a pound it is sort of rare commodity except at Holiday Time.  CIO

11/23/23 Thursday 5:05 P.M.  I drove downtown to the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park, and I sat out for a long time.  I toured www.cvs.com .  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I sat out some more in the park.  I then drove down to the Board of Education Parking Lot Veterans Monument, and I sat out for a long time.  I walked down to Zen Stationary, but they do not sell scratch cars on holidays.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I then sat out some more.  There were a few people moving around.  I then went to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a six pack of Thomas' New York Everything bagels for $3.99, two 48 ounce Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice for $3 each, two 16 ounce Bob Evans garlic mashed potatoes for $4 each, and a 42 ounce Smart Balance spread for $9.69 for $27.78 total.  I then returned home.  I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

11/23/23 Thursday 12:10 P.M.  I renewed www.time.com magazine for a year for $25.  I have been around Time Magazine most of my life.  A lot of the Time Magazine children were in school with me at Greenwich Country Day School.  When I went down to Ronald Reagan's Inaugural in January 1981, I got a free ride back on the Time Magazine Jet to Westchester airport.  I was told in Washington D.C., Time Magazine is the main activity in Greenwich, Connecticut they know about in Washington D.C..  However, one of my www.lakeforest.edu classmates had an aunt that started Newsweek magazine.  While at Lake Forest College, Lila Luce was in my class, and R.R. Donnelly published Time Magazine along with thousands of other magazines.

11/22/23 Wednesday 12:45 P.M.  I chatted with somebody from Optimum calling from South Dakota.  I went out the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a prime rib Angus roast beef for $8.99 a pound on sale for $49.74 and a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.89 for $55.40 with $25 of it paid with my Greenwich Communities gift card.  I then returned home.  I put away the food.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  The Greenwich Family Center gave me a Thanksgiving meal, so I will cook the roast beef on Friday or after Thanksgiving.

11/21/23 Tuesday 12:20 P.M.   I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six slices of deli sliced ham with four slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very thin, but the cheese is a lot is a lot thicker, so it is basically a cheese sandwich.

11/21/23 Tuesday 11:10 A.M.  I went downtown to the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park, and I sat out for a while.  I viewed the CFCF coffee shop.  I then toured www.cvs.com twice.  The second time, I bought two glitter lamps for $23.91 total.  I then returned home.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I setup one of the glitter lamps, but the second one did not work, so I returned back to CVS on Greenwich Avenue, and I exchanged it for another one, which I setup.  I put both of them on the bookcase on the left side of the hallway entrance, and they seem to work just fine.  Each uses three AA alkaline batteries.  As they say, "All that glitters is not gold."  CVS used to sell gold foiled covered chocolate coins with President Kennedy's image on them.

11/20/23 Monday 6:00 P.M.   I picked up the mail.  I got a catalog from https://www.kingsize.com/ .  There are some very big people in Greenwich, but they do not hang out around the women's stores on Greenwich Avenue.  One is more likely to see them at Home Depot in Port Chester, New York trying to do it themselves to save money.  When I built the garage apartment from April 1982 to February 1983 for Vivian West out in Plandome Manor, New York, I already knew a little bit about construction, but I used either the Reader's Digest book on home remodeling or the Better Homes and Garden book on remodeling which explained the more complicated details.  My family used to know the people in Greenwich that own https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowell-Collier_Publishing_Company , but they only show up downtown in the summer for the Greenwich Sidewalk Sales, when they are not way out in the Middle of Nowhere on Martha's Vineyard.  I thought they produced Popular Mechanics and Popular Science, so once again when I research it years ago, the internet was wrong.  I do know some real sneaky people in back country Greenwich whom hardly ever go downtown in Greenwich, but being cleaver they might know cheaper places close to back country like Banksville and Armonk.

Back around the winter of 1977, I was arrested for a night in Key West, Florida; when Jimmy Eldert, and I were walking through Faustos Grocery store, and we started drinking a quart of Donald Duck orange juice, and I thought he paid for it, and he thought I paid for it.  At the time Jimmy was teaching Sunday School at the Baptist Church, so they thought I was suspicious, since when he found me when he arrived from the University of New Hampshire that cold winter, I was sleeping underneath the annex house of St. Luke's Episcopal church on Duval Street in Key West.  I guess they did not like me in South Florida in that period, because when I showed up there before my car was towed at the swimming hall of fame in Fort Lauderdale, I had South Carolina license plates on my 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne from the previous six months, when I had lived in Greenville, South Carolina working as expeditor Daniel Construction now a part of www.fluor.com which once was the world's largest construction companies.  Jimmy was more popular, because his grandfather the three star www.af.mil general that lived next door to Richard Nixon in Key Biscayne might have also been the person that kept the nuclear codes for President Nixon.  There was Homestead Air Force Base at the beginning of the Florida Keys, where supposedly Air Force personnel from the DEW Line up in the Artic working for NORAD would fly down to thaw out.  At the same time the Army Corps of Engineers were also rebuilding a 140 miles of the Florida Keys bridges into four lane highway which all of the local people whom did not want development did not like.  I guess the Unites States Government has a way of getting its way.  I was told the United States government owned all of the waterfront property in Key West, and they just leased it out on condition if there were military problems down there, they would take it back for other purposes.  I do know at the time Michael Manley of Jamaica was confiscating property in Jamaica from foreigners, so people there were returning to the States.  Also at the time, they did not seem to have a drug problem in Key West with all of the military down there, and there were forty drug lawyers on Whitehead Street next to the Truman Annex where Harry Truman lived when he was President, because he had a heart condition.

Unknown to the local "know it alls", we some times get visitors out here off the numerous cruise ships that visit New York City harbor.  Even the Captain of the Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship used to have a place in Byram, Connecticut.

11/20/23 Monday 11:55 A.M.  When I lived out on www.nantucket.net , there were quite a few people from the https://www.whoi.edu/ , and when I lived in Key West, there were people from the https://www.fio.usf.edu/keys-marine-lab/ , but I was told by Dr. Conners here in Greenwich the dermatologist thirty years ago to stay out of the sun until after 3 P.M. in the afternoon.  I guess fair skin people can not take too much sun.  Warmer weather is nice, but I am basically a Northern person with lots of cold weather experience.  In Manhattan, when I lived there mostly in the winter time, I would try to visit different pubs in the winter, where it was warmer, so warm weather people would not freeze to death, but I also spent a lot of time walking around in very cold weather with lots of people from further up North whom visit Manhattan during the winter time.  Fred Von Mierer's apartment at 420 East 49th Street now the German consulate was two blocks away from the www.un.org , but since I only have six years of high school Latin and six year of high school French, it was Fred that had the foreign language skills and probably a few other people that he knew.  I know at the time Nelson Rockefeller was important and since he was once in the State Department in Costa Rica, he also spoke Spanish.  Alas, nobody ever communicated with me from Manhattan except a friend of Fred's lawyer William Polk Cary of Davis Polk Wardwell to tell me that Fred had died whose name was Bobby Culver from Maryland.  Bobby once had me as a New Years Eve party in Greenwich Village on New Years Eve in 1982, with a lot of his friends, but I do not know what they did.  I think most of the wealthy people in Manhattan considered me a bother, since with their money, they were not interested in my back ground or experience.  I did used to see a lot of people moving around Manhattan mostly at night, but at Julie Bolton's apartment at 315 West 74th Street where I last lived, nobody ever called up or visited.  Julie's boy friend was the door man at the new Carnegie Tower on the East Side, where she lived, and I was just left with the White German Shepard dog to walk around with and explore some of the student pubs late at night until February 1982, when she had me move out with no place to go when there was a wind child of minus 20 degrees below zero Fahrenheit in Manhattan.  After a week with a random stranger that lived above the small Episcopal Church on East 52nd Street where I met a few people, I flew down to Key West with my last $100 that Julie gave me, but I did not know anyone there except a few random people that I met.  I was shipped back up North because of a false computer report probably base on the fact in August 1980, when I was living at Julie's former husband's house in Port Washington, Long Island who was in the State Department, my eight ounces of gold for traveling at $825 an ounce, $200 cash, my Connecticut Driver's license, my Unites States State Department passport, and my Wellesley, Massachusetts draft card was stolen by four blond guys on motorcycles with Connecticut plates.  Four police departments never solved the case, and the United States State Department told me that they could not track lost passports, but American Express told me that my passport was being used in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, so it would seem what ever government report was on my record, when I was down in Key West was based on somebody having stolen my identity.  Since Peter Bolton, Julie ex husband was in the Unites States State Department in Libya, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia, he probably knew more and had other government contacts like the CIA, so maybe he did not want me to travel to Norway in August which I was planning to do.  I did make it there in February 1983, after I finished Vivian West's garage apartment, and in the winter not too much was happening in Oslo, Norway.  At the time of the theft, Jimmy Carter's vice president was Walter Mondale whom was Norwegian descent from Minnesota, so there were some other Norwegians around.  In Nantucket during that period somebody flew a big Norwegian flag at a nice house in the center of the island, and in Key West, they flew a Norwegian flag at the Atlantic Shores beach club.  Also the Norway Savings Bank is now up in Maine.  I guess, since I do not speak Norwegian, they just work around me.

11/20/23 Monday 10:30 A.M.  When I last worked at https://languedocbistro.com/reservations.html until December 1983, my residence was in a very small room without bathroom in the basement at 3 Hussey Street with a bunk bed made out of two by four wood, a chest, and a very old black and white television that only has a few shows on it like, "No Time for Sergeants", "O Susannah", and "Our Miss Brooks" which room I paid $60 a week for out of my salary at the restaurant.  Thus I was not living, "High on the Hog."  CIO

11/20/23 Monday 9:50 A.M.  Greenwich Interior Decorating https://www.greenwichcountryclub.org/files/Greenwich%20Country%20Club%20-%20Platinum%20Clubs%20Presentation%202023-2024.pdf .  I was told by a member of the Round Hill Club that Billy Baldwin was involved in decorating it, but alas I was not a member.  I only played golf there a few times in the Inner Club Junior Golf championships, when my family had a corporate membership at the Greenwich Country Club.  However, I used to walk the golf course with a very heavy bag of golf clubs that I gave away recently, since I could not afford a caddy or a electric cart.  Thus I got used to walking.  President Gerald Ford and General Westmoreland were also honorary members in my day.

11/20/23 Monday 9:30 A.M.  I took the dark blue and light blue comforter off the Ethan Allen recliner, and I put it on the left side of the bedroom closet shelf.  I took the New Zealand sheep skin off the Ethan Allen recliner, and I put it on the Queen Anne chair underneath the living room windows.  When the new recliner cover comes tomorrow, I will put it on the Ethan Allen recliner.

11/20/23 Monday 2:45 A.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six slices of deli sliced ham with three slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very thin, but the cheese is a lot thicker, so basically it is a cheese sandwich. 

I will now rest a bit.  Being an older person outside in the colder weather for extended periods of time tends to wear one out a bit, but I am used to it.  CIO

11/19/23 Sunday 2:45 A.M.  Just now before I went outside, when I put a new red LED light in the small lamp in the living room window, I did something to my left knee in bending over, and I am now having trouble walking.  I guess all of the work that I have done in the last month and a half fixing up my apartment has come back to haunt me.

I did move the stack of recent magazines from the oak dining table to the small oak table in front of the left living room closet.  I also put out the little Norwegian flag on the primary eating place on the oak dining table.  The Ethan Allen recliner weighs over 125 pounds, so it can support a heavier person being well made, and it costs over $2,500 new today.  Ethan Allen was in charge of the Green Mountain Boys up in Vermont during the American revolution.  Also the last I knew the governor of Vermont http://governor.vermont.gov/ has the last name Scott.  I know a few Norwegians and having worked around the Stowe, Vermont ski resort ski patrol in out on www.nantucket.net , I also know  a few people with Vermont connections.  It is a lot colder up in Vermont than here in the Winter.  In the old days of the www.af.mil Cheyenne Mountain out in Colorado had a backup facility in Northeast Vermont, so the United State Government which nobody pays attention to in Greenwich, Connecticut is probably still doing something up in the North Country, where only Rich People dare to venture up to in the Winter.  NORAD is also part of the Canadian Military, so it helps if one can speak French to French Canadians whom are numerous North of us not to mention all of the other cold weather people up in Canada.  CIO

11/19/23 Sunday 12:20 A.M.  I rest until 11:20 P.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.

From the left side of the Queen Anne chair underneath the living room windows, I moved the Bumble Bee cider jug lamp to the small folding oak table in front of the left living room closet.  For advanced tweaking I also put the Harry's bar ashtray from Venice, Italy on it.  Harry's bar in Venice, Italy was where the old time CIA people used to hang out in Europe.  Also I put the little white Wedgwood ashtray of the Charles W. Morgan tall ship up in Mystic, Connecticut on the dark oak table on the side of the Ethan Allen recliner.  I am not allowed to smoke in my apartment, but they might catch somebody's eye.  I do not open the left living closet, it is mostly storage for deluxe clothing and shoes and some old computer parts, but if one needs to open it, the folding oak table can be quickly moved.

11/18/23 Saturday 10:40 A.M.   I just made a quick trip to the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop on Hamilton Avenue and toured the place.  They have a lot of nice stuff including several dining tables with chairs.  However, I do not think women cook anymore, so nobody throws dinner parties anymore, and they just go out to dinner.  I did not buy anything.

I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

Also during the Holiday periods, when the rich tax payers are around, they do not encourage poor people to hang out downtown people watching for security reasons.  Many years ago, when I met somebody from Denmark, his apartment had the Scandinavian look with a glass table desk with an Apple computer and a water bed, and that was about it.

11/18/23 Saturday 7:45 A.M.  When the most I have ever earned is $8.75 an hour as the head dishwasher at Le Languedoc Restaurant out on www.nantucket.net , until I returned to Greenwich, Connecticut on December 13, 1983 almost forty years ago on the Aga Khan's birthday, and the Greenwich Hospital with a $7,500 physical determined that I am legally disabled, I tend to be very frugal and cheap.  Among other wealth people out on Nantucket, there might have been members of the Hearst family whom are democrats, since on six trips to California, I noticed at San Simeon, they have a Nantucket village on the Ocean side and in Malibu, they had a Nantucket Cove restaurant.  Also the Hearst family publishing empire also own the Greenwich Time locally, so I guess they do not pay attention to anything that is bad for Democratic Party business.  However, on the fifth trip to California when I flew, I met and was put up for a night by Otis Chandler Junior who had forty acres of Avocado Farm in Ocean Side, California in a Buckminster Fuller House, and at the time his family owned the Greenwich Time, and I think they still own the Las Angeles Times Mirror along with a lot of property in California.  I guess they were sort of curious what I was doing out there with no visible means of support, but with Ronald Reagan running for President, there were a lot of California people showing up in New York City and this area.  On the fifth and six trips, when I was in Laguna Beach while traveling, a man named Joel put me up for a few nights, and he was the Head of www.xerox.com Parc in Palo Alto, California a high tech research firm which has headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.  On the last trip, he even took John Bolton and myself to lunch in Dana Point with his roommate that was the head of Camp Pendleton near where Richard Nixon used to live at San Clemente.  I guess since Bobby Inman from Laguna Beach was Jimmy Carter's Secretary of Defense at the time, there was something going on out there besides of lots of retired people.  They were building twin nuclear reactors at Dana Point which have since been decommissioned, and Jimmy Carter was a Nuclear Engineer that had learned Nuclear Physics under Admiral Hyman Rickover while at the Naval Academy.  Admiral Rickover lived in Key West and ran the entire United States Navy until 1982, but I did not know that when I was down there in Key West, and I was told he was in retirement.

11/18/23 Saturday 6:50 A.M.  As far as I know, the only Federal Agent that has ever been in my current apartment in 34 years is Larry Burger who was an www.fbi.gov agent at Two Federal Plaza in Manhattan, when he bought my 1993 Buick Wagon from me.  He lived in New Rochelle, New York which also has Federal buildings too, and he liked the boat hitch on the back on the Buick wagon.  He was driving about a twenty year old www.ford.com Country Squire Wagon which was all rusted out, so the United States Government although it has a lot of people working for it, is basically pretty cheap.  Also about four years ago in January, I chatted with Jim Comey the former head of the FBI in front of the Senior and the Arts Center who was driving a big black www.gmc.com , and he told me like my father ordered me, to stay in Greenwich for the rest of my life.  I guess being a Bush and Trump neighbor over the years, the FBI has tried to keep an eye on me, which does not make much sense to me, since I lead a very private reclusive life, except for a few friends and relatives whom are zooming all over the world and this area all of the time.  Possibly since when we were at Polaroid and got bomb threats, when Dr. Land was Richard Nixon's science advisor, they started keeping an eye on our family.  Also a diseased in-law used to be the assistant district attorney in Tulsa, Oklahoma; so he had major political connections which I do not have.  One friend whom I have not seen in a while was a licensed race horse investigator for NYRA living at W. Averill Harriman's sister' estate in Sands Point, Long Island, and he now lives ten minutes away from current President Joe Biden, and he also knows Admiral Halsey's son at that location who hauls around race horses.  Race horses are very valuable, so they get extra security, which I do not get.  Also my race horse friend had a grandfather who was the last living member of Queen Victoria's Honor Guard living in Gladstone, New Jersey, near where Jackie Onassis lived and Donald Trump's Country Club and the Forbes family.  He was also President of the Illinois Central Railroad that my Grandfather Scott worked for sixty years for.  However, with so much new government printed new money, the President of Engelhard Gold and Mineral also lives in Gladstone, New Jersey; so if one has a safe place to keep it like the Bank of England, Gold might be a better investment than high tech hype.

11/18/23 Saturday 6:00 A.M.  This is my like new Ethan Allen recliner that I got at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift charity shop for $75 about ten years ago https://www.ethanallen.com/en_US/shop-furniture-living-room-recliners/graham-recliner/217904.html#start=1 , so I do not feel like getting rid of it.  I have had sofa in my apartment before, but they were only used by a lazy rich friend who was goofing off the job to take cat naps, when he should have been working.  Alas, I do not watch the business news all of the time, since I do not have any money to speak of.  Much could be said of that expression that I said before.  For Every Church in Greenwich, there is also a Bank in Manhattan as if anyone has forgotten.  When I knew Fred Von Mierers, he told me Helen Kress Williams used to chose the head of J.P. Morgan Bank, and Fred actually decorated the then President of J.P. Morgan Herb Patterson's office.  Alas, since www.chase.com merged with J.P. Morgan, maybe the Rockefeller might have an interest in it, and Helen Kress William's neighbor in Oyster Bay, Long Island besides the Teddy Roosevelt family was the Rockefeller Brother's sister Abby Rockefeller O'Neil.  I think all of these rich families instead of trying to push other people around with their money should try family counseling to figure out what their families are really doing instead of thinking they know it all from the Boob Tube and probably the Internet.  So much for my view point.  The Town Motto of Greenwich, Connecticut is, "Frugality and Fortune," not to spend like a Drunken Sailor.  Also when I was around Greenwich Village, a lot of the students besides New York University were from the Parson's School of Design near the www.forbes.com building.  Being of Scottish origins, the Forbes are probably basically cheap like other Scottish people.  The Citizen's Bank in Greenwich is owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland which is a United Kingdom government operation.  I once read about another Scottish Bank, called the, "Scottish Widows and Orphans Bank."  Also from my Economic Research, besides banks, Insurance Companies also happen to have a lot of money.  The former chairman of the Greenwich Hospital Richard Shinn used to be the head of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company which has a major presence on lower Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and I think they also own the former Pan Am building on the north side of Grand Central Station.  They probably own a few other things with their assets too.

I moved the 99 inch long by 24 inch wide orange American Indian pattern runner rug back into the living room from the apartment entrance to the primary work computer.  I moved the new 120 inch long by 26 inch cranberry red pattern runner rug from the apartment entry  area into the hallway, where it fits better.  I put the small white pattern throw rug underneath the primary eating chair.

11/18/23 Saturday 12:40 A.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated three slices of deli roast beef and three slices of deli sliced ham with three slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  The slices of deli roast beef I am using are paper thin, but the cheese is a lot thicker, so basically it is a cheese sandwich.

11/17/23 Friday 11:40 P.M.  I rested until 9:50 P.M..  I went downtown to the  Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought three 11.5 ounce Stauffer's Swedish meatballs for $3 each, a 48 ounce Silk vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.99, and a package of deli sliced Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese for $6.99 a pound for $6.99 for $21.88 total.  They still have Butterball frozen turkeys at the Stop and Shop for $1.49 a pound.  I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I bought two 12 packs of Fresca and one 12 pack of www.coke.com Zero Sugar for $23.05 total.  I then drove down a deserted Greenwich Avenue as far as www.starbucks.com and back uptown and returned home my way.  I then brought up the soda with my little folding cart and the food, and I put it away.  I then put the folding cart and the grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

11/17/23 Friday 4:35 A.M.  I can hear a whole lot of traffic on nearby Interstate I-95, so I guess a lot of people are taking off early for the entire Thanksgiving week or maybe the Army of the South is heading down South for the winter after the hurricane season is almost over.  Robert E. Lee's great grandson who went to West Point used to live in Greenwich, and then he retired to Coral Gables, Florida and then to Houston, Texas; where he passed away.  He was supposed to be my tropical weather expert down South, but I never heard from him after he moved away.  A Scott family relative that Scott Circle is named after in Washington D.C. also beside many military activities in the early days of America also was involved in starting West Point, and is buried there.  His portrait looks a bit like my father.  Apparently when his father arrived in America in 1726 from Scotland, he was looking for his brother, which probably was my relative whom arrived at the same time.  My relative went to Western Pennsylvania, and Windfield Scott's father married into the wealthy Windfield family of Virginia.  A bit of history for those whom think my family just arrived off the boat.  Also my Grandfather Scott the 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason was married to my Grandmother who was from the Gard family that were original settlers in York, Maine around 1640.  Thus out there in the wood work, I might still have relatives floating around America.  My mother's Dutch family were in the original settlers in Holland, Michigan in 1842.  My maternal Grandmother on my mother's family was related to the Van Vylevelt family in the Netherlands which is the correct pronunciation of Vanderbilt that once were an established family in America.  If one is driving down South, one can take a pit stop at www.biltmore.com near Ashville, North Carolina.  CIO

11/16/23 Thursday 9:55 P.M.  I threw out the garbage.  Since I got my Renter's Rebate of about $535 around the first of November 2023, I have spent about $400 remodeling my apartment mostly on floor coverings, shower curtain, kitchen sink drain rack, and Draino drain cleaner and another $140 for the new Apple Iphone 6 S Plus cell phone plus another $75 in toner cartridges and cordless telephone parts and a lot of my State of Connecticut EBT Food Stamps, so I had more food to eat better and have more energy to work hard, so I basically have spent all of my Renter's Rebate, but the apartment looks a whole lot better.  CIO

11/16/23 Thursday 8:00 A.M.  I went to www.mcdonalds.com on West Putnam Avenue, and I got two McGriddle sandwiches and a medium cup of coffee with Splenda sweetener and cream for $8.38.  I then drove downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center, and I sat outside for a long time, and I ate my meal.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  At 7 A.M., I went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.  I used the bathroom across the street at the CFCF coffee shop.  I sat out for a while at the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park.  I then returned home.  I sat outside.  I filed this report.  I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

11/16/23 Thursday 5:10 A.M.  I moved the small white throw rug from the apartment entrance to underneath and exposed by the orange and black runner rug in the hallway by the sweater closet.  I then vacuumed the exposed area of the old blue wool carpet in front of the living room closets and leading to the primary computer chair area.  I happened to have a new can of www.cvs.com rug cleaner, so I sprayed that exposed area with the CVS rug cleaner.  I then went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee outside for a half hour while the carpet dried.  I then used my trusty www.hoover.com to vacuum the area where I sprayed the rug cleaner on it.  Now it looks nice and clean for when I put the new ten foot red runner carpet on it.  Believe it or not, my father when he was with Chemstrand a division of www.monsanto.com produced a lot of Nylon and Acrilan which he helped invent from 1954 to 1968, when we graduated to Polaroid.  That is what brought us to Greenwich in June 1962, and as I recall Monsanto has a forty story building with W.R. Grace and Company on the north side of the New York City library on West 42nd Street.  Acrilan was  used to make carpet and other materials, and I still have a Acrilan carpet in my bedroom.  Alas, from what I know the textile business has mostly moved out of this country to Asia particularly in the Southeastern United States.  In its day a square yard of Acrilan carpet cost a hundred dollars a square yard, but it shedded, so Electrolux vacuum cleaners from Old Greenwich, Connecticut were important.

I will now go downtown and hang out to see the early morning rush, which is part of my normal night time routine.  Unknown to local people in this area, Microsoft operating system beta testing was sort of important, since over a billion people worldwide use the Windows Operating system.  CIO

11/16/23 Thursday 3:50 A.M.  I moved the orange and black American Indian pattern ten foot throw rug from the apartment entry way to the primary work computer area back into the hallway.  I put the smaller white pattern throw rug at the apartment entry way.  Thus after I vacuum the old blue wool rug that I bought at Gloria Vanderbilt's adopt a dog tag sale up on Lake Avenue, when I first moved in here 34 years ago for $40 which had been cleaned by Shaffer rug cleaner and was donated by Burt Parks, it will be covered up by the ten foot runner which is mostly cranberry red.  I do not know where to put the nice small white throw rug though.  CIO

11/16/23 Thursday 2:35 A.M.  I woke up at 2 A.M., and I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  Earlier I watered the last two plants in the apartment.  They are the four foot tall miniature palms that were six inches tall, when I bought them for a dollar each at the old A&P, when I lived at 700 Steamboat Road over 35 years ago.  They were originally discovered on a small island off of New Zealand by British Explorers.  They were such a favorite of Queen Victoria, that she had two full size ones on either side of casket, when she rested in State.  The British as a sea faring nation did explore most of the world.  Also at the Stop and Shop frozen Butterball turkeys like the 450 pound man bought the other night are only $1.49 a pound.  I guess some places in the world besides keyboard jockeys, people have to be bigger.  CIO

11/15/23 Wednesday 9:40 P.M.  I went downtown to the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park, and I sat out for a while.  I toured www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I sat out some more in the park.  I viewed the CFCF coffee shop.  I drove down to the Board of Education Parking lot Veterans Monument, and I sat out for a long time.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I stopped by Zen Stationary, and I bought a "Line Em Up" scratch card for a dollar, and I lost as usual to the Bank of Bombay.  I then sat out for a long time at the Senior and the Arts Center.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a package of Toufayan whole wheat flat pita bread for $4.59, two packages of deli sliced ham for $4.99 a pound for $3.94 and $4.12, and three seven ounce packages of Stop and Shop Swiss cheese for $3.29 each for $22.52 total.  I then went by the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $15.01 of self service premium gasoline to fill up the tank for $4.499 a gallon for 3.337 gallons at odometer reading of 124973 miles for 46.4 miles driven since Monday November 6, 2023 for 13.905 miles per gallon in local traffic.  I then returned home.  I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

11/15/23 Wednesday 2:30 P.M.  On the new Iphone 6 S Plus, I installed the ATT sim card which has $99.70 on it until February 1, 2024.  I restored the Icloud backup from my other Iphone 6 S Plus, and it all seems to work just fine.  I just need to install some of the apps.  I am using it with the Red Case from the defective Iphone 6 S Plus, and I put a screen saver on it too.

11/15/23 Wednesday 1:00 A.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six slices of deli roast beef with three slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar and six ounces of red potato salad.  The slices of deli roast beef I am using are paper thin, but the cheese is a lot thicker, so basically it is a cheese sandwich.

11/14/23 Tuesday 10:40 P.M.  I cleaned the oven which I have hardly ever used over the years.  It has two broiler pans in it and a turkey pan with lid.  I did a real through cleaning of the stove top burners which I used to use until about two years ago, when I started microwaving all of the time.  I also put in new aluminum inserts in the burners.

11/14/23 Tuesday 8:35 P.M.  I chatted with a friend twice.  I went out to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $9.99, Boars Head thickly sliced rare deli roast beef for $17.99 a pound for $18.17, and a package of deli sliced Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese for $6.99 a pound for $7.34 for $35.50 total.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water, and I put the other food in the refrigerator.  I then put the cart back in the car, and I sat outside.  I filed this report.  The Stop and Shop has big Butterball frozen turkeys for about $35.

When I lived way out in the middle of no where on www.nantucket.com the 150 foot yacht the Enterprise was always moored on the dock in the harbor.  It was owned by the Devos family from Grand Rapids, Michigan that owned https://www.amway.com/ .  One of their biggest franchise owners in the old days was the individual that supplied all of their products to https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ .  Alas my friends from Nantucket's ship never arrived on the pier on Steamboat Road.  When I was about eight years old, I played golf in Grand Rapids with my father and a friend of his that looked like former President Gerald Ford.  CIO

11/14/23 Tuesday 2:20 A.M.  Iceland Volcano https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-67402198 .  Back in February 1975, when I moved Helen Kress Williams from Oyster Bay to Locust Valley, Long Island;  I chatted with her a bit.  She mentioned that when Krakatoa Volcano erupted in 1882, there was a fifteen foot snow fall in New York City.  She also mentioned that Rose Kennedy told her the Irish Potato famine was caused by the volcanoes in Iceland.  Since in Oyster Bay, she lived on a 40 acre waterfront estate next to Teddy Roosevelt at Sagamore Hill, and knew Alice Roosevelt and was head trustee of Vassar College, I guess she knew a little bit about natural history, since Teddy Roosevelt was involved in starting the Natural History Museum, and a friend's Osborne family helped finance it.  Man whom does not read history is bound to repeat himself.  CIO

11/13/23 Monday 11:35 P.M.  On the Apple Mac Book Pro on the oak dining table, I moved the USB printer cable from the Dell 17.3 inch laptop beneath to it, and it is still on printer port 2 on the USB printer box, and I installed the Xerox Work Centre 3215 driver on it, so one can now print off it.  CIO

11/13/23 Monday 11:05 P.M.  I rested until 10 P.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  My version of the New Amsterdam Night Watch and the Scottish Black Watch is fully operational, but alas nobody in the Eastern Hemisphere knows how to communicate with me when I am awake all night.  I have made five trips to Europe for nine months total including the last trip in February 1992 to Paris, Amsterdam, and Albertville, France for the Winter Olympics with a side trip to Geneva, Switzerland; so I guess after that last trip, they lost interest in me, since I do not speak French fast enough for them to understand me.  I try to network with a few visitors here, but alas since I do not have too much travel experience in the last forty years after returning from a life of seclusion out on www.nantucket.net for five years, when I was not traveling.  I guess there is a new generation whom have taken over whatever it was I used to try to do by advertising Greenwich, Connecticut world wide.  We are actually a fairly small town, but people seem to like the ambience of our many coffee shops on Greenwich Avenue.  For late night coffee, the Mobil Station across the street from me on West Putnam Avenue has a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts coffee shop, and the Shell station at 401 West Putnam Avenue has coffee to go, and about five miles east of me, there is a 24 hour www.mcdonalds.com on East Putnam Avenue by the Riverside shopping center by exit 5 on Interstate I-95 known as the Connecticut Thruway.  Also if one has an electric car, the Hyatt Hotel in Old Greenwich has charging station, and by me at the 24 hour www.cvs.com at 644 West Putnam Avenue, they have charging stations at their lower level parking lot inside.  I think the Greenwich Town Hall also has charging stations.  I do not know anything about the surrounding areas, since I do not travel too far anymore.  In Geneva, I had an expensive breakfast at McDonalds, I toured the Rolex Watch shop, the Chemise La Coste shop, a gun store, and I tried to visit a discothèque, but it was not buy early in the evening, and I wandered around Geneva taking pictures.  They had a chess game set up with bit chess pieces in the central park there.  There is an eight lane highway going from France to Geneva, so I guess a lot of French visit there.  The international symbol on an oval sticker on a car for Switzerland is "CH".  On the last trip to Europe in 1992, gasoline was over $10 a gallon, so a lot of people walk there.  CIO

11/11/23 Saturday 9:45 P.M.  I went out, and I donated the two Hefty ultra strong brown leaf bags of two dozen flannel shirts at the Stop and Shop parking lot at 161 West Putnam Avenue charity recycle clothes container in the northeast of the parking lot to benefit Ovarian cancer.  I then drove down to the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park on Greenwich Avenue, and I sat out for a while.  I then went into www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.  I bought a 25 count box of Hefty ultra strong brown leaf bags for $14.35 total.  I then bought a 40 count bag of Hefty ultra strong white kitchen bags with discount coupons from the previous purchase for $7.67 total.  I then put the items in the car, and I sat out some more in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park.  I then returned home.  I sat outside.  I put the new boxes of Hefty bags on the right living room closet shelf.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

11/09/23 Thursday 8:15 P.M.  From the northwest corner of the bedroom on the right side of the bedroom desk from above and below the blue Rubbermaid hamper, I moved multiple new wireless keyboard and wireless mice sets to underneath the left and the right side of the bedroom desk.  I have a new Microsoft 6000 wireless keyboard and wireless mouse set and a couple of other Microsoft sets, and three Logitech Comfort sets and two generic sets.  I also threw out five new Brother toner cartridges.  I also moved the orange Indian pattern runner rug from the hallway to where the similar size runner rug will go when it arrives laid down between the apartment entrance and the primary work computer chair.  I put a smaller throw rug in the hallway.  I also swept the hallway.

11/09/23 Thursday 3:25 A.M.  In case the Optimum Cable Box system fails, in the bedroom on the ONN 40 inch television on the far right near the window, I setup the over the air digital antenna, and it gets about a half dozen channels clearly including NBC.  I think the antenna is pointed towards the digital channels that come out of White Plains, New York.  I can not point the antenna due west towards Manhattan, since the opposite side of my brick building is in the way.  CIO

11/09/23 Thursday 2:25 A.M.  On the bedroom cable box and bedroom Vizio TV, I removed the Craig DVD player, and I put it with its remote control on the top shelf of the sweater closet in the hallway.  I also simplified the cable setup on the bedroom setup, so the white bureau drawers now open a little bit.  Both living room and bedroom cable boxes play in both rooms, so one can watch two different channels at the same time in each room.

11/09/23 Thursday 12:35 A.M.  From behind the Vizio television in the bedroom, I threw out about a third of the stuff which included a number of new old flip cell phones and odd computer parts.  I also put the spare light bulbs down on the floor underneath the right side of the dark walnut bookcase.  I moved the rest of the stuff to dark oak bookcase behind the Vizio television in the living room.  It includes some software boxes, toner cartridges, wireless routers, Samsung external 5 GB hard drive, and computer parts.  I also found the manila envelope with the Microsoft Office 2007 CDs, which I put with the two software boxes.  Thus the only thing behind the Vizio television in the bedroom is five wireless routers and the sound bar.  It is about one large Hefty heavy duty brown leaf bag of stuff that I am throwing out.

Although I have never been to England or the United Kingdom, when my family worked at Polaroid in Boston, my father was given Queen Elizabeth II's Award in Industry by the then prime minister Harold Wilson.  Over the years, I had a number of British contacts living in Greenwich and else where, but none of them have ever contacted me on the internet, so I guess they were just vague associations.  CIO

11/08/23 Wednesday 5:20 P.M.  In the bedroom, I moved the 40 inch ONN television to the far right on top of the mahogany bureau.  From on top of the mahogany bureau, I moved the 24 inch Insignia Smart TV to the center of the bedroom wall setup on the walnut bookcase with the LG sound bar.  It all works fine, and it is a simpler setup.  I keep the 40 inch ONN television to used as a backup primary work computer monitor, if the current one quits working.

11/07/23 Tuesday 5:35 P.M.  I went out, and I voted at the New Lebanon school in Byram.  I then drove downtown to the Senior and the Arts Center, and I sat out for an hour, and I used the bathroom there twice.  I paid a $1.50 in quarters for parking.  I then went to the Acme grocery store, and I bought a 48 ounce Silk vanilla unsweetened almond milk there for $5.99.   Most of their coolers are empty there, because they are not cold enough.  The freeze section still has frozen food.  I then returned home.  I picked up the mail.

11/07/23 Tuesday 12:20 A.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six slices of deli roast beef with three slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.

I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO 

11/06/23 Monday 11:35 P.M.  Some where in the vast universe, there still might be a tiny person that likes to use www.apple.com devices.  Thus from the left living room closet, I moved the vintage Apple Mac Book Pro to on top of the Dell 17.3 laptop on the oak dining table.  It still seems to work just fine.  I recall paying about $230 for it a few years ago, and I put a new SSD drive in it and a new battery, so it works just fine.  It is configured with Microsoft Office 2019 and Norton Internet Security 360 plus all of the other Apple programs.  Maybe having done that the Apple store on Greenwich Avenue, when it is opened this winter will let me wander through the place to warm up a bit.  I know in the Amazon Brit Box documentary on the British Government Agency MI 5, they liked using Apple devices for monitoring the world.  Back when I first published my downloadable internet directory, it was posted at the web site for the https://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/home , so maybe somebody back there in England thought I had something to add.  Basically I only know my primary American English, so since a few people in England are supposed to speak English, I have found their reference web sites from England are informative on matters that Americans do not seem to have much interest in.  Even the https://www.si.edu/ was founded by a wealthy British man who never visited America.

11/06/23 Monday 8:10 P.M.  I went downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.  I then sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park across the street.  I viewed the CFCF coffee shop.  I then drove down to the Board of Education Veterans Monument parking lot, and I sat out for a long time.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I then bought a "Line Em Up" scratch card at Zen Stationary for a dollar, and I won $2 for a dollar profit.  I then sat out for a long time at the Senior and the Arts Center.  It looked like band practice was going on.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a package of deli sliced roast beef for $16.49 a pound for $11.88, a package of deli sliced Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese for $6.99 a pound for $7.27, a package of Toufayan whole wheat pita flat bread for $3.50, a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.50, and four 20 ounce cans of Stop and Shop pineapple chunks for $1.69 a can for $30.91 total.  I then went to the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I filled up the tank with $20 of self service premium gasoline for $4.499 a gallon for 4.445 gallons at odometer reading of 124926 miles for 58 miles driven in local traffic since Friday October 27, 2023 for 13.049 miles per gallon.  I then returned home.  I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag out in the car.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  With two of my neighbors, we saw a lame dirty white wolf walk by the baseball field towards the West.  I filed this report.

11/04/23 Saturday 5:00 P.M.  I drove down the entire length of Greenwich Avenue, but there was no parking.  I drove over to Bruce Park, and I sat out for a while watching the ducks on the pond.  They were playing tennis there on the town tennis courts.  I chatted with a friend on my cell phone.  I then drove back to the Senior and the Arts Center on Greenwich Avenue, where I found a parking place at the Veterans monument.  I sat out for a half hour on a crowded day.  The bathroom at www.stabucks.com was busy.  I then drove up to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I toured the store.  I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I then sat out some more.  All together I paid $2.50 in quarters parking today.  On the way home, I toured Citrella.  Their prepared food is $15.99 a pound and up.  They do have a package of six big meatballs, but that would be too much for me to eat.  Not too much else in prepared beef.  It is mostly chicken, turkey and pork and vegetables.  They do have slices of pizza there too.  I then returned home, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  CIO

11/03/23 Friday 2:10 A.M.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I put nine new AAA alkaline batteries in the electric candles that were a Christmas gift to the apartment last Christmas, and I moved them to the right bookcase shelf in the hallway.  From the bookcase on the left side of the hallway entrance, I moved the very heavy Himalayan salt lamp from there to the bedroom window.  It would hurt somebody, if it had fallen off that bookcase.  I put the boxes containing clamp binders and manila envelopes underneath the LG sound bar behind the Vizio television in the living room to raise it up, so there is a clear line of sight for its remote control and unobstructed hearing.  From the left living room closet, I took out the Dell 17.3 laptop setup, and I set it up on the unused side of the oak dining table, so now we have another beta machine setup for use. 

I am a bit worn out after 38 days of very heavy work fixing up my apartment, so I am trying to relax a bit and decompress.  CIO

11/02/23 Thursday 6:15 P.M.  I chatted with a friend.  I threw out another big Hefty brown heavy duty leaf bag of stuff from the hallway bookcases and the wicker racks hanging on either side of the bathroom sink.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I picked up the mail.  CIO

11/02/23 Thursday 4:35 P.M.  I drank my coffee outside.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I chatted with a friend.  I will now rest some more.  CIO

11/02/23 Thursday 3:40 P.M.  I woke up at 3:00 P.M..  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I will eat a bowl of Kellogg's raisin bran with almond milk with two toasted English muffins with Smart Balance spread, and a glass of spring water with some  cranberry juice and a cup of coffee with artificial sweetener and almond milk and vitamins and supplements.  CIO    

11/02/23 Thursday 9:20 A.M.  I ate half of a chicken salad hogie with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.

I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

11/02/23 Thursday 8:25 A.M.  I woke up after a two hour nap.  I used my little folding cart from the back seat of the car, and I made seven trips out to the dumpster throwing out all of the stereo components that I had disassembled earlier.  I then took a long time, I removed all of the stereo system and speaker wires, and I threw them out in a big brown Hefty heavy duty leaf bag.  I saved in the center living room desk two RCA connector cables and RCA Y splitters.  I moved the Vizio television further to the left, so one has a clear view from the Ethan Allen recliner.  I broke the red electronic clock, so I threw it out.  I removed all of the old cleaning supplies from underneath the left side of the bathroom sink.

11/02/23 Thursday 1:40 A.M.  I threw out the cleaning supplies from underneath the bathroom sink.  A neighbor took the little round table.  In the Northwest Corner of the living room, I removed all of the stereo sound system from the dark oak bookcases, but I am much too tired to carry them out right now.

I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will then go to bed.  CIO

11/01/23 Wednesday 11:25 P.M.  I drove downtown to the Board of Education Veterans monument, and I sat out for a while.  I then went to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I got my first Shingles shot.  I then used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I then went to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought two chicken salad hogies for $15.03 total.  I then returned home.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I chatted with a friend.

I threw out most of the utensils from the cieling hanging rack in the kitchen, and the ones that I kept I put in the corner in a container to the right of the kitchen sink.  I then threw out the cieling rack.  I then used my little folding cart from the back of the car, and I removed the two speakers from the right hallway bookcase, and I threw them out.  I installed two more shelves where the speakers were, so that area now has three shelves.  From the two bathroom bookcases, I put a Himalayan salt lamp on the bedroom  desk.  I moved the bumble bee lamp underneath the center living room window on the left side of the Queen Anne chair for reading light.  I removed the television from the bathroom bookcase.  I threw out the Google and Amazon dots.  I threw out about three fourths of the contents of the two bookcase in the three big Hefty heavy duty brown leaf bags, and I put the rest of the contents on the new space on the right hallway bookcase.  I threw out the two bookcases.  I removed the Ocean Digital Internet Radio from underneath the Vizio television in the bedroom, and I store it on the top sweater closet shelf.  I moved from the Cablevision box from the small white table in front of the Vizio TV, and I put it underneath the Vizio television.  From the same little white table, I stored the two jump start systems from the lower shelf, and I moved them to the floor of the sweater closet in the hallway.  I threw out the little white table.  I removed a number of TV cables.  I then moved the 24 inch Insignia Smart TV to on top of the Ocean Digital Internet Radio Amplifier on top of the mahogany bureau in the bedroom with the sound bar beneath it.  Thus the bathroom is more spacious, and there is more room at the foot of the bed in the bedroom.  I also moved the little RCA cordless telephone from the bathroom to the left hallway bookcase.  I have said to before, but one works hard, when one is hungry.

11/01/23 Wednesday 5:25 P.M.  I had my inspection.  They made suggestions about more stuff that I can get rid of in the near future.  I chatted with a relative.

11/01/23 Wednesday 3:05 P.M.  The order with tracking of https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=9400111206209325418376 for the Panasonic KX TG 6700 cordless phone system, I ordered https://www.amazon.com/3x-Pack-Panasonic-KX-TG6700-Replacement/dp/B00HKWHBF8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Panasonic+KX+TG6700+batteries&qid=1698566819&sr=8-3  for $11.99 and $4.99 shipping and $1.08 tax for $18.06 total arrived.  I put them in the cordless telephones.  They will take a while to charge up.

11/01/23 Wednesday 9:00 A.M.  There is a new update of Microsoft Windows 12 beta Canary available here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso?rfs=1&wa=wsignin1.0 , but since I got rid of all of my beta computers in de-cluttering my apartment, I can not beta test anymore. 

The way I figure it, the Army of the South is returning down South today on the first of November, and we will be left with a few people up North for the colder weather of the upcoming Winter.
