Michael Louis Scott's Notes January 2024

01/31/24 Wednesday 10:50 P.M.  Since I never really learned how to use the Apple computer system, I took down the Apple Mac Mini system connected to the Samsung television, and I installed the Lenovo Think Centre Mini.  It has the Windows 12 beta on it with Office 2021.  It all works just fine.  I also installed the Brother wireless all purpose laser printer drivers and software on it.

I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 8:50 P.M.  I moved the orange runner rug that was underneath the red runner rug in the hallway to underneath the teak dining table and to its left. 

The order with tracking of Tracking | UPS - United States on the order for Godinger Boundary Highball Glasses, Set of 4 - Macy's (macys.com) for $20.11k arrived.  I put them in the upper right cabinet in the kitchen with the other new glasses.  They are 12 ounces.

01/31/24 Wednesday 7:45 P.M.  Off Netflix, I watched episode 1 and 2 of, "Alexandra."  I went outside in between episodes.  I will now go outside and drink a decaf coffee.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 5:55 P.M.  I rested a bit.  I chatted with a friend.  I went outside, and I drank a coffee.  I picked up the mail.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 4:10 P.M.  I put a spinach wrap on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced honey ham with four thin slices of Dutch Gouda cheese and two slices of Swiss cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 3:40 P.M.  I rested until 2:50 P.M..  I went outside, and I threw out the garbage, and I drank a cup of tea with Splenda sweetener and lemon juice.  The order with tracking of Track Package (amazon.com) for Amazon.com: Danjor Linens Queen Sheet Set - 6 Piece Set Including 4 Pillowcases - Deep Pockets - Breathable, Soft Bed Sheets - Wrinkle Free - Machine Washable - Gray Sheets for Queen Size Bed - 6 pc : Home & Kitchen for $10.62 arrived.  I put them in the center drawer of the white bureau in the bedroom.  CIO  

01/31/24 Wednesday 1:15 P.M.   I chatted with a relative.  I rotated the Ocean Digital Internet radio on the black piano bench, so it faces the red Chesterfield leather chair for easy usage.  I move the bent pine chair with the Wal-Mart cushion to the teak dining table.  I put the other bent pine chair with the more comfortable blue cushion at the desk.  I am now using Nescafe Columbian instant coffee with hot water dispensed from the Glacier water machine instead of more expensive K cups.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 12:45 P.M.  I went through http://scott-mike.com/bf.htm .  I will now take a nap.  CIO

01/31/24 Wednesday 11:35 A.M.   I woke up at 9:30 A.M..  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and a brewed coffee outside.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  The order with tracking of Detailed Tracking (fedex.com) on the order for here on sale for $49.97 Andover Mills™ Shiflett Oriental Burgundy/Mustard/Black Area Rug & Reviews | Wayfair arrived.  I put it down on the vacant floor at in front of the mahogany bureau in the living room.

01/31/24 Wednesday 1:15 A.M.  I channel surfed.  Off Netflix, a movie called, "Alexander" is coming out today.  I went outside.  I will now shut down the computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

01/30/24 Tuesday 11:10 P.M.  I tested the new webcam with Skype on the Apple Mac Mini, and it works just fine.  I guess it would work just as fine with Zoom. 

I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.  CIO

01/30/24 Tuesday 9:40 P.M.  I went out to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I bought a croissant and a Nescafe Columbia instant coffee for $8.77 total.  I then ate the croissant in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park across the street.  I used the bathroom at CFCF coffee shop.  I then went back into CVS, and I bought a Targus webcam Pro for $51.68 total.  I then to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, I bought deli sliced boloney for $3.99 a pound for $3.54.  I then returned home.  I put away my purchases.  I then went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I filed this report.  I will now put the Targus webcam Pro on the Mac Mini.  I will then go outside again.  CIO

01/30/24 Tuesday 6:15 P.M.  I got charged $27.28 for another AT&T cell phone sim card charge for three months on my backup Iphone 6S Plus.

I will now go downtown again.  CIO

01/30/24 Tuesday 6:05 P.M.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  CIO 

01/30/24 Tuesday 5:20 P.M.  I chatted with a relative who gave me ideas about moving the chairs around.  I moved the bent pine chair with the blue cushion from the corner of the living room to the left side of the brass and glass coffee table with the two line AT&T telephone on the left side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung television on it.  I moved red leather Chesterfield chair and the square Danish end table further to the right, so it is more spacious.  I moved the bent pine chair with the blue cushion from the bedroom to in front of the dark pine bookcase on the right side of the mahogany bureau at the hallway entrance.  I moved the folding made in Viet Nam mahogany chair from the desk to the bedroom window area.  From the teak dining table, I moved the second bent pine chair with the blue Wal-Mart cushion to the desk.

01/30/24 Tuesday 4:15 P.M.  I went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop on Hamilton Avenue.  I bought a red chesterfield leather lounge chair on wheels for $125.  I then returned home, and I installed it in the sitting area in front of the living room windows.  I moved the bent pine chair with the blue cushion from there in front of the bedroom window.  I took the small maple chair from there, I donated it to the Greenwich Hospital thrift shop.

I then went downtown to the www.chase.com bank ATM machine at East Elm Street and Greenwich Avenue.  I paid 50 cents to park.  I then sat out in front of the Senior and the Arts Center for a long time.  I then returned home, and I sat outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.

01/29/24 Monday 5:25 P.M.  I went out, and I mailed the Connecticut SNAP letter at the Valley Road Post Office.  I then chatted with a friend and a relative.  I put a spinach wrap on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated five extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced Virginia ham with five thin slices of Dutch Gouda cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.

01/29/24 Monday 3:35 P.M.  I picked up the mail.  I filled out my SNAP document along with supplying paper work.  I will now go out and mail it.  CIO

01/29/24 Monday 12:20 P.M.  I went downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue, and I picked up a prescription.  The parking meter in front of the Steinway Piano show room has not worked for a long time.  I then went to the Senior and the Arts Center, and I sat out for a while.  I have a key fog to show that I am a member.  One can not order meals at the new cafe at the display device until 11:30 A.M..  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.50, a deli sliced package of honey ham for $8.99 a pound for $6.79. a package of Toufani spinach wraps for $5.99, four 20 ounce cans of Stop and Shop pineapple chunks for $1.69 a can, and a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.99 for $27.03 total.  I then returned home, and I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/29/24 Monday 12:10 A.M.  I ate a 9 ounce Hormel chicken and rice with a glass of filtered water.  I will now shut down the computer, and I will to bed. CIO

01/28/24 Sunday 11:45 P.M.  I moved the Amazon Cube from the living room Samsung television to the bedroom Vizio television.  I used the Cable Box LAN on the Amazon Cube.  On the Samsung living room television on the second HDMI port, I hooked up the Apple Mac Mini with Monterey.  I have a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse connected to it and placed on the end table on the window side of the Ethan Allen recliner.  It has a headset with a six foot cable, but no web cam.  I am updating the Apple Monterey operating system.  It is not too cluttered, since the Apple Mac Mini is only size of a book.

01/28/24 Sunday 8:50 P.M.  On the Grace Digital Internet Radio Mondo Elite, it is easier to setup with one's Iphone with this app Grace Digital on the App Store (apple.com) .  I reset it, and it now works a lot better and is all setup.

01/27/24 Saturday 9:05 P.M.  I ate a 9 ounce Hormel chicken Alfredo with grated parmesan and Romano cheese and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  I will send out my weekly notes.  I will then shut down the computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

01/27/24 Saturday 7:50 P.M.  I chatted with a friend and a relative. 

I moved the small dark oak table from the left side of the Samsung television back to the left side of the desk with the Brother all purpose laser printer and Panasonic two line telephone on it.  From there, I moved the black lacquer piano bench to the far window side of the Queen Anne chair with the two internet radios on it and the Hay Google display device on it.  From there I moved the small brass and glass end table to the left side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung television on it, and I put the AT&T two line telephone on it.

01/27/24 Saturday 9:05 A.M.  I went downtown to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $9.99, a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.50, and a package of deli sliced honey ham for $8.99 a pound for $6.74 for $18.23 total.  They now have a lot of five gallon bottles of Poland Spring water.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water.  I put my groceries away.  I then put the grey bag and the folding cart back in the car.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.   CIO

01/26/24 Friday 6:40 P.M.  I chatted a relative that I consult with on the apartment via email.  The relative suggested that I move the small oak chair with the colorful cushion to the bedroom, so I put it underneath the bedroom window, so there is now a chair in the bedroom.  I will now shower and clean up.  CIO

01/26/24 Friday 5:35 P.M.  I moved the black piano bench to the left side of the desk with the Brother All Purpose laser printer on it and the Panasonic two line telephone on it.  I moved the square end table on the left side of the Samsung television in between the two bent oak chairs with blue cushions underneath the living room windows.  With the square table, it is not as crowded.  I put the small dark oak table from the left side of the desk on the left side of the Samsung television with the two line AT&T telephone on it.   I put the small oak chair with the colorful cushion on the left side of the Samsung television along side the dark oak small telephone table.

01/26/24 Friday 4:00 P.M.  The order with tracking of Track Package (amazon.com) for Amazon.com: ANYPLUS USB 3.0 Hub, 4 Port USB Hub Splitter,Portable USB Adapter Mini Multiport Expander for Desktop, Laptop, Xbox, Flash Drive, HDD, Console, Printer, PC, Keyboards, HP, Dell : Electronics for $10.62 arrived. I hooked it up the HP Laptop, and I connected my other USB devices to it.

01/25/24 Thursday 8:05 P.M.  I sat outside for a long time.  I drank a cup of tea with Splenda sweetener and lemon juice.  The order with tracking is Tracking | UPS - United States on the copper lamp arrived.   I put the harp on the lamp and a new GE long life bulb and the new white lamp shade, and I put it in the middle of the living room window shelf on the control panel.  I also got two pillows that I put on the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  I moved the old pillows on top of the Rubbermaid hamper in the northwest corner of the bedroom.  I got a wicker basket to old various items on teak dining table.  Also I got white tray to hold my remote controls on the end table between the two comfortable chairs.  I had to format the memory card on the Canon camera to go it to work.   I also took the cushions off the black piano bench.

01/25/24 Thursday 4:00 P.M.  I rested until 1:30 P.M.. I chatted with a friend.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I picked up the mail.  The order with tracking of Track Package (amazon.com) for Amazon.com: USB C to Ethernet Adapter, atolla USB Type-C to LAN Network RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, Thunderbolt 3 Compatible with MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Pro, Surface, XPS and More : Electronics for $12.75 arrived.  I hooked it up to the HP laptop, so it now works off the LAN cable instead of wireless.  In the living room, I pulled down the shades halfway.  I moved the square end table back to the left side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung television on it.  I have the two line AT&T telephone on the square table.  From there, I moved the small brass and glass table to the window side of the Queen Anne chair.  I then connected up there the Ocean Digital Internet Radio and on top of it the Grace Digital Internet Radio.  Thus one can listen to internet radio from the comfort of the Queen Anne chair with the Hey Google and the Alexa display on the end table on the other side.   I moved the two small pillows from the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair to on top of the black piano bench, so it does not get scratched.

01/25/24 Thursday 10:45 A.M.  I went by Greenwich Communities, and I dropped off my lease paper work.  I then toured www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop. I chatted with a relative.  I then sat out for a while at the Greenwich Senior Center.  I then toured the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, but I did not buy anything.  They have a nice pair of Empire chairs there for $95 each.  I then returned home, and I sat outside briefly.  I filed this report.  I will now shut down the computer.  I will eat a yogurt.  I will then go to bed.  CIO

01/25/24 Thursday 7:25 A.M.  I chatted with a friend.  I put a spinach wrap on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated six extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced Virginia ham with three thin slices of white American cheese and four thin slices of Dutch Gouda cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com  Zero Sugar. The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.

01/25/24 Thursday 7:00 A.M.  I hooked up a LAN cable to the bedroom Optimum Cable box, so the bedroom television now has Optimum On Demand which has a lot of features.   I moved the Grace Internet radio from the end table between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Ann chair to dark oak bookcase on the left side of the Samsung television.  From there, I moved the blue comforter back to the left side of the bedroom closet shelf.  There is a bent oak chair in front of the Grace Digital Internet radio, so it can be controlled from there.  CIO

01/25/24 Thursday 5:50 A.M.  I put my last net switch hooked up behind the Samsung television, so the Samsung Smart TV is connected to LAN, the Amazon cube is connected to LAN, and Optimum Cable Box is connected to LAN, so now On Demand works off the Cable Box.  None of the LAN cables are visible.

01/22/24 Monday 8:55 A.M.  I went down to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue.  I bought buy one get one free of 200 count CVS flush free Niacin for $24.80 total.  I then used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought two packages of deli sliced Virginia ham for $6.99 a pound for $5.98 and $5.35, a package of deli sliced Dutch Gouda cheese for $9.99 a pound for $10.44, two four packs of Oikos sugar free yogurt for $3.50 each four pack, a package of Toufani spinach wraps for $5.99, a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.50, and a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla unsweetened almond milk for $5.99 and a prepared rodeo sandwich for $5.99 for $48.24 total.  I then returned home.  I put away my purchases.  I went outside, and I put the grey bag in the car.  I will now eat the rodeo sandwich with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  CIO

01/22/24 Monday 6:25 A.M.  I will now bundle up warmly and head downtown after warming up the car to make it to the Stop and Shop at 7 A.M..  The Stop and Shop food chain is owned by a Dutch company called Ahold.  CIO

01/22/24 Monday 6:15 A.M.  I am charging up the Canon camera battery.  I have to go out in a little while to be at the Stop and Shop, when it opens at 7 A.M..  www.starbucks.com downtown on Greenwich Avenue and the CFCF coffee shop across from www.cvs.com do not appreciate all my efforts over the years of keeping an eye on Greenwich Avenue.  On the pier on Steamboat Road, I once chatted briefly with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden whose mother is from Brazil, so I guess they are use to hot and cold.  I know a number of Norwegians go to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.  In the periods I visited Key West during the colder weather, I was told the Danish Royal family used to like vacationing in Key West.  Since the Danish once owned the Virgin Islands, they have connections down there.  Of course people whom know how to sail can show up anywhere with the various seasons.  When I showed up on the South Shore on www.nantucket.net in early April 1977, the locals on the warmer beach near the Gulf Stream were from Nova Scotia.  There used to be a Kennebunkport to Nantucket sailboat race in the summer, so I guess some salt water sailors have experience both places.  Alas, the only craft I have ever sailed is a small sunfish on Lake Michigan at Holland, Michigan.  My father's boss in Pensacola, Florida in the late 1950s had a 75 foot sailing yacht, so I guess he knew how to sail.  Also my stepfather knew hot to sail too.  Wharf rats know a few things.  The Aga Khan also owns a private island in the Bahamas.  CIO

01/22/24 Monday 5:10 A.M.  I turned the primary eating chair at the teak dining table against the wall, so it is available for sitting down and putting on one's boots in this weather.  I have my various magazines on the lower level of the end table between the Queen Ann Chair and the Ethan Allen recliner.  The map of Magellan lamp on that end table has a strong enough light bulb to support reading at that location.  In the white bureau in the bedroom in the second drawer down, I have a fairly new pair of white Queen size sheets that a relative gave me about five years ago.  Beside the sheets on the bed, I also have another set of grey sheets on the bedroom closet shelf.

01/22/24 Monday 1:25 A.M.  In the lower right shelf of the far right bookcase in the hallway, I have a number of regular flash lights and lanterns along with a bag of small LED flash lights.  I put two new alkaline D batteries in two of those flash lights.  The other ones seem fine.  I have AA and AAA alkaline batteries for the small LED flash lights, if I need to use them.  CIO

01/22/24 Monday 12:45 A.M.  In three emergency lanterns, I put three alkaline D batteries in each of them.  I then put two on top of the bookcase at the left hallway entrance along with the hand crank lantern, and one on the mahogany bureau in the bedroom with the hand crank lantern.

01/22/24 Monday 12:10 A.M.  I hung the United States flag over the front of the bookcase on the left side of the hallway entrance.  It can be easily unhooked to access the few items that are still in the bookcase.  I still have various other flags of convenience in the top drawer of the white bureau in the bedroom.  In the second drawer down I have about four bathing suits, which at the moment I do not need.

Back in the old days in Manhattan in the winter when I walked around a lot, I did not have a winter coat.  I used to walk around in a $20 Trimingham's Bermuda sweater with a $50 Brooks Brother Harris Tweed Grey sports coat.  CIO

01/21/24 Sunday 1:40 A.M.  I cancelled the lamp.  I moved the green lamp with white shade from the center living room windows shelf to the teak dining table.  From the teak dining table, I moved the yellow pineapple lamp to the bedroom mahogany bureau.  From the bedroom mahogany bureau, I moved the small brass desk lamp to the end table between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  From the end table, I moved the Map of Magellan lamp with the white shade to the center window shelf in the living room.  Thus the bedroom now has more light.  Also the smaller lamp at the end table does not stick up too far.  With extra light in the bedroom, I sorted out the paper work in the second drawer down in the mahogany bureau, and I went outside, and I threw out the old paper work.

01/20/24 Saturday 3:45 A.M.   Off Netflix, I watched series 6 episode 6 of, "The Crown."   I will now go outside and drink a cup of tea with Splenda sweetener and lemon juice.  I guess after forty years of observing downtown Greenwich Avenue at all hours of the day and at all times of the year, I do mind having tea and smoke outside in the local winter tundra.  I used to call my apartment Siberia Sam's Social Club and the winter patrol on Greenwich Avenue, "The Freezing Norwegian Patrol."  CIO

01/19/24 Friday 11:40 P.M.  I put a low sodium wrap on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated nine extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced low sodium ham with six very thin slices of Dutch gouda cheese, and I rolled it up, and I cut it in half.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin, so it is basically a ham and cheese wrap.  CIO

01/19/24 Friday 9:45 P.M.  Tracfone is refunding me $22.28 for the bad charge.  The good purchase for a month of unlimited time on the Moto G cell phone was $27.69.  It would cost over $120 to renew it for a year which I did last year, and I never used it; so I probably will not be doing that.  I can not get the Google Display to show contacts, although the Android Moto G cell phone shows all of my Google Contacts.  However, the Alexa displays shows all of my contacts which either come from Google Contacts or Apple Contacts.  I am charging also the unused $40 Android phone which does not have a valid sim card.

I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.

01/19/24 Friday 8:10 P.M.  I put the black and white mat at the entrance door to put dirty shoes on.  I chatted with a friend.  I spent $27 to activate the Moto G cell phone for a month.  I might have also activated the other Android cell phone for two months for $22.  Tracfone is very tricky when using it.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/19/24 Friday 6:10 P.M.  I chatted with a friend at 1:30 P.M..  I woke up at 4 P.M..  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I picked up the mail.  The order with tracking of Track Package (amazon.com) for a 6 foot Amazon.com: etguuds [4ft, 2-Pack USB C Cable 3A Fast Charge, USB A to Type C Charger Cord Braided for Samsung Galaxy A10e A11 A13 A03s A32 A50 A51 A52 A53 A71, S22 S21 S20 S10 S9 S10E, Note 20 10 9, Moto G7 G8 : Electronics for $7.17 arrived.  I hooked it up the Moto G cell phone, and it is now totally charged up.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I put some more Draino down the bathroom sink.  CIO

01/19/24 Friday 4:35 A.M.  I channel surfed.  There was a history biography on Fishers Island off the coast of Miami.  I recall some of the Vanderbilts and more recently Sofia Loren also lived there.  I went outside.  I put the blue comforter back in the left bookcase in the living room above the Black and Decker dust buster.  Now the blue comforter is now available for use on the Ethan Allen recliner, if someone had to sleep there.  I will now shut down the primary work computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

01/19/24 Friday 2:45 A.M.  I moved the red pattern runner that ran from the apartment entrance to the left side of the desk to on top of the orange runner in the hallway.  Thus there is more white floor space at the apartment entrance area running between the desk and the teak dining table.  I moved the small oak chair back to the left side of the black lacquer piano bench underneath the right windows.  I moved the bent oak chair from there to in front of the dark pine bookcase on the right side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung television on it at the hallway entrance.  I moved the Glacier water dispenser further to the left, so it is at the kitchen entrance but not blocking it.  I moved the black and white kitchen mat back into the kitchen.  If I need to sit down to put on my boots, I can pull out the bent oak chair at the end of the teak dining table.  Thus there is more white floor space and a bit less cluttered.

01/18/24 Thursday 11:25 P.M.  I chatted with a relative who has been giving me decorating ideas.  I was told at this point to do what I think best.  From the far left bookcase in the living room, I moved the blue comforter back to the left bedroom closet shelf.  I moved the mahogany bureau with the 49 inch Samsung television ten inches to the left.  I move the weather station back to beneath the circuit breaker box.  In the bedroom I took the remaining items out of the dark pine bookcase.  I then moved it to the right side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung television on it.  I cleaned the shelves in the dark pine bookcase.  I moved the spare light bulbs that were stored in the dark pine bookcase to the far left bookcase in the living room.  I put the spare batteries, spare wallets, rent receipts, and two lithium jump start systems on the lower left shelves of the dark pine bookcase.  I put the spare BIC lights on the lower shelf of the center hallway bookcase.  I vacuumed the area in the bedroom where the dark pine bookcase was.  I took out the saw grass rug at the apartment entrance, and I threw it away.  I moved the new area rug from the near side of the apartment to the apartment entrance area.  I moved the water dispenser ten inches to the right.  I put the small oak chair on the left side of the water dispenser at the kitchen entrance with a anti fatigue mat in front of it.  Thus one has a place to take off and put on one's shoes.  I moved from the right side mahogany bureau the bent oak chair to the left side of the black lacquer piano bench underneath the windows.

01/18/24 Thursday 7:30 P.M.  I woke up at 4 P.M..  I made my bed.  On the living window sill, I threw out the old Kensington Control panel for the lights, and I installed a new control panel for the light switch lights.  I went outside.  I picked up the mail.   I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I went to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought eight 20 ounce Dole pineapple chunks for $2.89 each and six 16 ounce Dole mandarin oranges for $2.69 each for $35.66 total.  I then went by the www.chase.com Bank ATM machine at Greenwich Avenue and East Elm Street.  I then returned home.  I put away the food.  I put the grey bag in the car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I chatted with a friend.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/18/24 Thursday 6:15 A.M.  I moved the six area rugs in the center of the living room further forward about fifteen inches up against the living room closets, so it is mostly carpet as one walks through the living room.

01/17/24 Wednesday 11:50 P.M.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated seven extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced low sodium ham with six very thin slices of Dutch gouda cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as this, so it is basically a ham and cheese sandwich.  CIO

01/17/24 Wednesday 10:45 P.M.  I moved the square Danish end table from the left side of the living room television setup on the mahogany bureau to in front of the Danish end table between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  I put the two line Panasonic telephone on the dark oak bench with the Brother all purposes laser machine on the left side of the desk.  I also put in a new 9 volt battery in the phone.  From there I moved the small brass and glass table to the left of the Samsung television setup on the mahogany bureau.  I have the AT&T two line telephone placed on it.  Thus with the device on the Danish end table, one can place coffee cups or glasses on the small square Danish table.

01/17/24 Wednesday 9:55 P.M.  I moved the Ocean Digital Internet radio from the black piano bench to the window sill on the left side of the living room desk.  From there I moved the Grace Digital Internet radio to along side the Hey Google device to its left on the Danish cherry wood end table in between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Ann chair.  They are facing the Queen Ann chair.  The two internet radios are connected to LAN cables, and the Alexa and Google displays work off wireless.  I will now go outside again.

01/17/24 Wednesday 8:50 P.M.  From the left living room bookcase, I moved the Hey Google display to the Danish end table between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  I have it facing the Queen Ann chair.  I then went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, I bought a five gallon bottle of Poland Spring water with bottle return for $8.99, two six packs of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.99 each, and two 48 ounce Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice for $3.99 each and .20 bottle deposit for $21.15 total.  I then went to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a 42 ounce Smart Balance spread for $9.69.  I then went to the Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $23 of self service premium gasoline for $4.499 a gallon for 5.113 gallons at odometer reading of 125225 miles for 65.2 miles driven since Monday January 1, 2024 for 12.752 miles per gallon in local traffic.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the 42 pound bottle of water.  I put the folding cart and the grey bag back in the car.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/15/24 Monday 9:45 P.M.  I drove over to Home Depot in Port Chester, New York, and I bought Glacier Bay Matte Black and Stainless Steel Bottom Load Water Dispenser LY619 - The Home Depot for $215.67.  I then returned home.  I used my little folding cart to bring up the water dispenser.  I drained the old leaky Nestle water dispenser.  I then set up the new water dispenser at the right side of the kitchen entrance, and I followed the instructions for setting it up.  I put in a new Primo Vermont Spring water five gallon bottle.  It seems to be running just fine.  I will now throw out the packaging material and the old leaky Nestle water dispenser.

01/14/24 Sunday 7:30 P.M.  I moved the Oster convection oven back to the left kitchen counter, so it is underneath the stove fan.  From there I moved the small Amazon microwave oven to the right kitchen counter.

I took out a pizza pan, and I placed a 20 ounce Stop and Shop frozen supreme pizza on it.  I then covered it with 12 ounces of Contadina pizza sauce, 8 ounces of Sargento shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan and Romano cheese and some extra virgin olive oil.  I am baking it in the Oster convection oven on the Pizza button for 35 minutes.  I will eat half of it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.

01/14/24 Sunday 3:20 A.M.  I moved the Hey Google display from the bedroom to along side the Alexa display in the right dark oak cabinet in the northwest corner of the living room.  From the left bookcase there, I moved the Ocean Digital Internet radio to the black lacquer piano bench at that same location.  I moved the Vermont teddy bear to the left side of the clock in the left bookcase there.  I moved the blue comforter from the center hallway bookcase to the left bookcase in the northwest corner.  If one does not watch television all of the time, one can figure out some minor tweaks to do one's apartment.  One could sleep in the Ethan Allen recliner with the blue comforter, and it has a slip cover on it to stay clean, and I have four pillows on the bed in the bedroom.  CIO

I never left the airport in Denmark around April 1983, when I was returning from Oslo, Norway.  I did buy two cartons of Prince Duty free cigarettes though.  I got on a new Boeing 747 flown by S.A.S.  After a week camping out at J.F.K. airport, I returned to being a dishwasher out on www.nantucket.net until I returned to Greenwich in December 1983.  CIO

01/13/24 Saturday 8:15 P.M.  I chatted with two friends.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated three extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced honey ham with eight very thin slices of Dutch gouda cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just as thin , so it is basically a ham and cheese sandwich.  CIO

01/13/24 Saturday 5:00 P.M.  I moved the Audubon Great Blue Heron picture from the outside bedroom wall to the left side of the bathroom entrance.  From there, I moved the duck picture to the outside bedroom wall.  My Audubon prints set came from the Merry Go Round Mews thrift shop many years ago for a minimum price.  I kept one third of them of the water birds, and I gave another third to each of two friends.  Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina used to have an original Audubon Elephant portfolio.  Key West used to have Audubon House.  It was rumored the exile dolphin of France was John James Audubon too.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.

01/13/24 Saturday 4:15 P.M.  I picked up the mail.  I will now go outside again.   The "Legend of Mingo Creek" deer picture was given to me by a friend about twenty years ago.  My friend won it as a Ducks Unlimited raffle in Bedford, New York.  As a matter of importance, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lake Forest College named William McCormick Blair was the founder of Ducks Unlimited.  He was my friend's father's roommate at www.harvard.edu .  When I chatted with my friend's cousin out at Sands Point, Long Island at Christmas Day over thirty years ago, all he did was chat about Ducks Unlimited.  They are into wetlands conservation in this country.  CIO

Tracking is USPS.com® - USPS Tracking® Results on the order for 20 cartons of Richwood Filtered Cigars Gold (Mild) 100 | Gotham Cigars for $296.26.  I woke up at 10 A.M. this morning.  The building custodian arrived to paint my bathroom ceiling.  I chatted with a relative.  I moved the bent oak chair from underneath the living room windows to the left side of the hallway entrance.  I moved from there the small oak chair to underneath the living room windows.  I went outside.  I gave four large print King James bibles to a neighbor along with two blue toilet jars.  I used my little folding cart, and I took seven large print King James Bibles down to the car, and I put the cart in the back storage area of the car.  I now only have two new King James large print bibles and two old ones.  I tried to donate them to the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, but they do not take bibles.  I went to Mac's  on West Putnam Avenue, and I bought two double cheeseburgers with small french fries and a medium coffee for $10.60.  I then went to Grass Island, and I had a picnic with nine crows watching me closely.  There were about 500 seagulls on the docks.  I then paid 50 cent to park at the First Presbyterian Church, and I left the seven large print new King James bibles in their new lobby.  I then returned home.  The bathroom ceiling was painted.  I took my vitamins and supplements with a glass of cranberry juice.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I chatted with the friend that bought the sofa yesterday, and it will not fit into his apartment.  I am charging the Canon camera battery, so I can not take pictures.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/12/24 Friday 1:45 A.M.  I practiced speaking slow Midwestern English for a change.  I moved the small oak chair back to the left side of the hallway entrance on the right side of the mahogany bureau with the Samsung 49 inch television.  I moved the bent oak chair in the northwest corner of the living room along side the Danish end table with the two telephone line phone.  It is in front of the right dark oak book case in the northwest corner of the living room.  Thus somebody has a seat at that phone.  I moved the black lacquer piano bench a foot to the right, and I moved the bent oak chair on its left further to the right.  Thus it is a more spacious seating arrangement.  I moved from the upper right bedroom entrance above the wire rack, the framed Reader's Digest Map of Magellan to where the Charles Lindbergh print was above the bedroom thermostat.

01/11/24 Thursday 11:35 P.M.  I moved the small oak chair at the left side of the hallway entrance to the left side of the small Danish end table with the telephone on it to the left side of the Samsung television on the mahogany bureau, so there is a small chair by that telephone.  That is a new AT&T two line telephone.  I moved the Black and Decker dust buster back in the right bookcase in front of the bibles.  In the bookcase to its right, I moved the 15 Bibles from the bookcase in the hallway.  I have 13 new King James large print bibles and my old Taft School Thomas Nelson and sons bible from Edinburgh, Scotland along with a Gideon bible I picked up in my travels.  I recall one of them had a parking ticket that I did not pay from Newport Beach, California or some place out there.  I had a lot of bibles, since I used to use them to support computer monitor legs and smart tv legs, which is no longer necessary.  I also from above bathroom door, the little hanging brass marlin bto above the circuit breaker box with the mirror hanging over it.  I also moved the French chateau print from the left side above the Samsung television to the lower right of the Samsung television below a similar print.  If one sits quietly and looks at things around, one can make minor improvements.

01/11/24 Thursday 10:10 P.M.  I went out to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a 12 pack of Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, and cheese croissants for $16.99, a 48 ounce Almond Breeze vanilla almond milk for $6.99, two six packs of Stop and Shop English muffins for $3 both, a package of deli sliced Dutch Gouda cheese for $9.99 a pound for $10.04, and a package of deli sliced honey ham for $8.99 a pound for $6.97 for $42.99 total.  I then returned home.  I put away my groceries.  I put the grey bag back in the car.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  Midnight Mike is getting scared of wolves and coyotes.  When I went outside briefly at 1:25 A.M. this past morning, I could a large pack of wolves or coyotes howling in our nearby patch of woods.  CIO

01/11/24 Thursday 6:00 P.M.  I woke up at 9 A.M. this morning, and I chatted with a friend.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.   I washed the breakfast dishes.  I showered, and I cleaned up.  A friend stopped by at 11:15 A.M..  We went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop, and my friend bought a seven foot long mint conditioner brown leather sofa for $100.  The friend is paying $200 to have it delivered up the road by somebody the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop recommended.  I then showed my friend the new apartment setup.  The friend was most pleased, since he had not seen the apartment in over a year.  We then went to lunch at Meli Meli on Greenwich Avenue.  My friend bought me a turkey club sandwich for $11.  After lunch we got coffee at www.starbucks.com .  We then sat out briefly at Bruce Park.  We then drove all of the way over to Tod's Point, and we sat out at the southwest parking area enjoying the view.  We then returned back to my place, and I was dropped off.  I drank a coffee outside.  The order with tracking of Detailed Tracking (fedex.com) of the order for the bent oak chair on the side of the teak dining table, I bought Mainstays Textured Chair Cushion, Navy, 1-Piece, 15.5" L x 16" W - Walmart.com for $12.75 total arrived.  I put it one on of the bent oak chair at the teak dining table.  My relative suggested I remove two of the place mats which I did.  I also moved the smaller oak chair at the teak dining table to the left side of the hallway entrance on the right side of the mahogany bureau with the 49 inch Samsung television.  I also picked up the mail.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/11/24 Thursday 1:00 A.M.  I woke up after sleeping a while.  On the Dell 17.3 inch laptop, I figured out the delete key problem.  I was pressing the delete key on the number pad instead of the top right delete key.

I moved the dark oak bench from the right side of the Samsung television to the left side of the desk with the Brother All Purpose laser machine on it.  I also pulled out the teak dining table a foot from the outside wall, so now there is room for three chairs at it.

01/10/24 Wednesday 1:05 P.M.  I woke up at 2 A.M..  I went outside in the pouring rain.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.   I washed the breakfast dishes.  I went back to bed until 9 A.M..  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I put more Draino down the bathroom sink.  I moved the garbage can from the right side of the kitchen entrance to the right side of the Nestle water dispenser.  I moved the blue recycle garbage can to underneath the bedroom window.  I went out, and I was told by the head of our buildings for Greenwich Communities that I have been approved after the last inspection this past Friday.  I went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, and I donated the framed Unicorn tapestry to them.  I toured the store.  I chatted with a friend and a relative.  I then went by Grass Island, and I sat out for a while.  I then drove to the Board of Education Veterans Monument bench, and I sat out for a while.  I bought a "Line-Em-Up" scratch card at Zyn Stationary for a dollar, and I lost as usual to the Bank of Bombay.  I then sat out in front of the Senior and the Arts Center.  I used the bathroom there.  They have a new coffee shop there on the southwest corner of the building.  It looks to be quite nice with lots of sitting room.  When I started up the car, the check engine light came on.  I returned home.  I used my car code reader to check the problem.  There was something about an Oxygen sensor.  I erased the codes, so the Check Engine light no longer comes on.  I also removed the Elon Musk gasoline saving device from the code reader device in case that was the problem.  I put it in the compartment between the front seats.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/09/24 Tuesday 6:40 P.M.  From underneath the Samsung television in the living room, I took out the two books on either side that raised it up about two inches which is not necessary now.  The books are encyclopedias about the bible.  I put them in the center hallway bookcase.  I guess I could throw them away or donate them with some of the large print King James' bibles.  However, rainy days are not convenient for getting rid of stuff.  My relatives also want my to donate the framed tapestry in the hallway to the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop, weather permitting.  CIO

Bean boots, so I do not slip.  I put the folding cart and the grey bag back in the car.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I filed this report.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/08/24 Monday 9:30 P.M.  I move the grey and white anti-fatigue mat from underneath the kitchen garbage can at the kitchen entrance to the bathroom entrance to match the other bath mats in the bathroom and cover up part of the white hallway floor, since the orange hallway runner is a bit shorter than the other runner I took out of the hallway.

01/08/24 Monday 7:35 P.M.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I chatted with a friend.  According to my accounting for the last four months, I have spent $733 on my apartment improvements for the seven new area rugs, the new runner rug, and the kitchen and bath floor mats and $38 piano bench and $8 microwave splatter cover and $16 microwave pot and $29 on three lamp harps and a kitchen sink basin and door mat $11 and slip cover for the Queen Anne chair for $32 and dish rack for $27 and a new shower curtain for $22.  That came out of my Renter's Rebate refund around the first of November 2023 for $535.  Thus I have put the Renter's Rebate funds to good work in my apartment.  Plus my relatives donated ten white lamp shades and a mop and a mop bucket and a lot of expertise.

01/08/24 Monday 1:45 P.M.  I woke up at noon.  I made my bed.  I went outside.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.   I washed the breakfast dishes.

01/07/24 Sunday 6:20 P.M.  Off Max, I watched the first half of series one episode two of The Guilded Age.  I went outside.  I will now shut down the computer, and I will go to bed.  CIO

01/07/24 Sunday 5:30 P.M.  I channel surfed.  I went outside.  I put a whole wheat pita bread on a dinner plate.  I covered it on one side with Hellmann's mayonnaise.  I then alternated nine extremely paper thin slices of deli sliced Virginia ham with three slices of deli Norwegian Jarlsberg cheese, and I folded one side over the other.  I ate it with a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.  The slices of deli ham I am using are very paper thin, but the cheese is just about an eight of an inch thin , so it is basically a ham and cheese sandwich.  CIO  

01/07/24 Sunday 3:15 P.M.  I chatted with a relative.  They like the change of the runner carpets as they are now.  I started to watch series 2 episode 2 of the "The Guilded Age" off Max.  It reminded me of the Dutch Vanderbilt expertise in house keeping.  They last time I chatted with Fred Von Mierers the year before he died when I stopped by his apartment on East 54th Street just east of First Avenue on the northeast corner, he told me he was working for Mrs. Vanderbilt in Newport, Rhode Island.  Another Dutch friend in this area told me that the Vanderbilt family in South Salem, New York own the Vanderbilt mansion in Newport.  Well, it got me to thinking, so I turned off the Samsung television, and I polished with Old English Lemon Oil most of the wooden furniture in the apartment and also the kitchen cabinets and some of the mirror frames.  I went outside again, and I threw out the garbage, and I drank a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/07/24 Sunday 1:35 P.M.  As a matter of comment this whole apartment rearranging started on September 28, 2023, the day before St. Michael's Day and has gone on to Eastern Orthodox Christmas whose patron Saint is the Arch Angel St. Michael.  When I was down surviving in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the fall of 1976, hundreds of young blond boys showed up with the first name Michael, and I was told they were from Boynton Beach, Florida.  CIO

01/07/24 Sunday 12:50 P.M.  I move the red runner rug from the hallway running from the apartment entrance along side the teak dining table to the opposite wall.  From there I moved the orange runner rug into the hallway.

01/07/24 Sunday 11:15 A.M.  I woke up at 8:30 A.M..  I chatted with one relative three times and a friend once.  The relative had me put the HP 15.6 inch laptop back on the shelf in the left living room closet, since it was making clutter on the teak dining table.  I went outside.  I ate my usual breakfast of pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, Jimmy Dean sausage egg and cheese croissant, two English muffins with Smart Balance spread, diet cranberry juice, and brewed coffee.  I went outside, and I cleaned three inches of snow off the car.  My relative was not pleased in me in buying two more area rugs.  However, in the old days, my father Louis Dale Scott was one of the largest manufacturers of synthetic material used for making carpet.  In those days, Chemstrand owned by Monsanto made Acrilan used for making carpets and other materials.  I think it might be called Acrylic today. I wash the breakfast dishes.  CIO

01/07/24 Sunday 1:40 A.M.  I went outside.  The HP 15.6 I3 laptop is updated. 

For Eastern Orthodox Christmas, I ordered for the apartment two 3 foot 3 inches by 5 foot Andover Mills™ Shiflett Performance Burgundy Red Rug & Reviews | Wayfair for $66.99 each.   They will fit in the empty area behind the Queen Chair and the Ethan Allen recliner in front of the desk to the entry way.  I moved the same piece of carpet that was there to be running from the entry way to the teak dining table with part underneath the Nestle water dispenser. 

I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/07/24 Sunday 12:25 A.M.  Merry Eastern Orthodox Christmas.  I rested a while.  I channel surfed and drank a brewed coffee.  On the side of the teak dining table, I put out the new HP 15.6 laptop that I bought for $350 two years ago with my Renter's Rebate.  I am running if off the apartment wireless and updating Windows 11 on it.  It is fully configured and ready to go.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 9:30 P.M.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  Two pickup trucks just plowed out our driveway.  I chatted with a relative.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 8:45 P.M.  There is about an inch of snow outside.  I now have the two line telephone in the bathroom with both answering machines turned on.  I chatted with a relative.  I moved the orange runner rug to the left running from the apartment entrance to along side the right side of the teak dining table.  I move the five by three foot area further to the right placing it behind the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  I chatted with a relative several more times and another relative who hurt herself  I move the upper mirror by the Nestle water dispense to the kitchen wall.  I moved the mirror from that location to the right side of the kitchen entrance.  I moved the British calander from that location to the right of the mirror in the kitchen.  I used three triple nail OOK hooks to hang the big heavy mirror on the floor by the Nestle water dispenser above the teak dining table.  From there I moved the French Maxim's water color to the outer wall in the bedroom.  From there I moved the French tapestry to below the duck pictures in the hallway outside the bathroom.  I went outside again, and there is several inches of snow.

01/06/24 Saturday 6:20 P.M.  I chatted with a relative about the current apartment configuration.  I moved the big mirror from underneath the circuit breaker box to the left of the left living room closet to the floor between the Nestle water dispenser and the teak dining table with a small mirror just about it, so it is a full length mirror at that location.  I moved the two five gallon bottles of water at that location to underneath the far end of the teak dining table.  I moved the three small fire extinguishers at that location to the wire rack behind the apartment entrance door.

01/06/24 Saturday 5:35 P.M.  The two Apple Iphone 6 S Plus cell phones on the right side of the Brother all purpose laser machine on the teak dining table are fully charged.  It started to snow about 5 P.M..  Just light flurries now.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 4:45 P.M.  I woke up at 8 P.M., and relatives delivered some Eurika vacuum cleaner parts.  I chatted with a friend.  I slept until 3 P.M..  I ate my usual breakfast.

I moved the mirror that I took down from behind the living room Samsung television to on the floor beneath the circuit breaker box to the left of the left living room closet.  From the sitting area in the living room, one gets their reflections with it there.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.

01/06/24 Saturday 5:20 A.M.  I put the Roku app on the Samsung 49 inch television in the living room.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 4:25 A.M.  In the living room on the Samsung television wall, I moved the little oak table on the left side of the hallway to in front of the right bookcase to the left of the Samsung television.  I put the Boston Sound Bar on it.  I also moved the mahogany bureau with the 49 inch Samsung television about six inches to the left.  I then took down the big maple mirror behind the Samsung television, and I have it resting on the floor to the right of the Samsung television and on the left side of the hallway entrance and secured by a heavy duty OOK three nail OOK hook.  I then moved from the left side of the bed the Audubon Louisiana Heron print to above the 49 inch Samsung television in the living room.

01/06/24 Saturday 3:25 A.M.  The backup Iphone 6S Plus in the red case is charging up.  I left it on the right side of the Brother all purpose laser machine on the teak dining table.  On the Moto G cell phone I bought a year ago for $100 which I never used, its T Mobile account expires today, and I am not going to spend another $100 to recharge it for a year.  It does have all the Google contacts on it, but I never used it, as I said before.  I don't have a charging cable for it either.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 2:25 A.M.  My relatives gave me a small box of Covid 19 masks that I put in the right hallway bookcase middle shelf.  I am not supposed to buy anything anymore at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop.  I also am not supposed to buy anything at Amazon or Ebay anymore.  However, to drive all the way to Walmart up on Route 7 is too busy and expensive.  I do have a very nice Target Department shore in nearby Port Chester, New York, and one can search their web site to see if they have certain items in stock.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 2:00 A.M.  I channel surfed.  I watched a program on channel 103 Euro News in Italian with English Subtitles about Vesuvius.  It has been a long time since it last erupted in 16th century, but it is rumbling all of the time.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 12:50 A.M.  I put expensive General Electric 75 watt Energy Saving light bulb that last six years in the Map of Magellan reading lamp on the Danish end table in the living room in between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  I have a lot spare energy saving LED light bulbs and regular light bulbs in the mahogany bureau in the bedroom and on the floor to the left next to it.  CIO

01/06/24 Saturday 12:05 A.M.  On the towel rack opposite the bath tub, I took off the five hand towels, and I stored them on the floor of the bedroom closet.  I put two salmon colored bath towels on the towel rack opposite the bath tub.  Earlier, I cleaned bedroom window shelf where I threw out the bedroom screen from.  I do not need a screen there since I put the LG 7000 BTU portable air conditioner duct there in the summer.  In the current setup, in an emergency fire situation it would be easy for the fire department to break through the apartment windows from the flat roof outside.  I had to start using Microsoft Frontpage 2002 again, since with Microsoft Office Word 2021, it does not keep the same fonts on my web log.  Also Microsoft Edge does not let one cut and paste the exact URLs like Firefox web browser does.  I am supposed to do more frequent dusting.  The Greenwich Communities representative said they might need to reseat some of the ceiling tiles in my apartment.  Also the custodian needs to paint the bathroom ceiling above the sink where he spackled it.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  I guess Midnight Mike is back on a night schedule with the wolves.  Sunday January 7, 2024 is Russian Orthodox Christmas for anyone that missed the Julian Calendar Christmas.  CIO

01/05/24 Friday 11:05 P.M.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I do not leave the five gallon Nestle hot and cold water dispenser turned on, since I figure it uses as much electricity as a refrigerator.  I tested the 42 inch Vizio television in the bedroom, and it works just fine, and hardly has ever been used, since I bought it a year ago.  On the Samsung 49 inch television in the living room, I set its Smart TV function to wireless and that works just fine.  The Optimum Cable boxes no long have LAN cables.  I moved the Boston Sound bar on the Samsung television to the left side on the telephone Danish table, so now there is a clear line of sight for the Samsung remote control to the television.  It all seems just fine.

I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/05/24 day Friday 8:15 P.M.  On the only work computer, I reinstalled and activated Microsoft Office 2021.  It works just great off the Office 365 icon.  I moved the Walmart electronic bathroom scale from the bathroom to underneath the oak bench on the left side of the hallway entrance.  It needs to be on a hard floor for it to work.  I moved from the mahogany bureau in the bedroom the Map of Megellan lamp to the back side of the Danish cherry end table in between the Ethan Allen recliner and the Queen Anne chair.  Now there is a good reading light there for comfortable book reading of magazine reading.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  I will now eat my avocado and chicken baguette sandwich with a glass of www.coke.com Zero Sugar.  They said on television this morning, one should eat dinner three to four hours before bed time.  CIO 

01/05/24 day Friday 6:50 P.M.  My two relatives arrived at 3:30 P.M..  The Greenwich Communities head of our building and my social worker arrived at 4 P.M..  I waited outside with my relatives while they photographed my apartment, and then we all chatted for a while. My relative then took me to Citrella and bought me a cup of coffee, a avocado and chicken wrap, and for tomorrow a cold chicken salad.  I then drank the coffee outside.  I chatted with a friend and a relative.  I threw out the broken bedroom screen.  I picked up the mail.  My relative told me not to change anything.  I wanted to move the two of the throw carpets underneath the Ethan Allen recliner and Queen Anne chair to behind them on the white linoleum, but my relative said they look better as is.  CIO

01/05/24 day Friday 2:55 P.M.  I moved the Ocean Digital internet radio from the piano bench to the left living room bookcase.  I moved some items from the blue kitchen bookcase to the upper left cabinet in the kitchen.  I moved the bent oak chair from the teak dining table to the left of the living room desk.  I moved the small oak chair from there to the teak dining table.  CIO

01/05/24 day Friday 2:10 P.M.  My relatives stopped by briefly, and they will be back at 3:30 P.M. for the 4 P.M. inspection.  They installed two new white lamp shades on the swivel lamps in the living room.  I also move the K cup coffee machine from the far left kitchen counter to the right side of the kitchen sink.  On the far left side of the kitchen counter, I moved back against the wall the small Amazon microwave oven.  CIO

01/05/24 day Friday 12:05 P.M.  I woke up at 7 A.M..  I ate my usual breakfast.  I showered, and I cleaned up.  The building custodian arrived and respackled the ceiling above the bathroom sink and put a face plate on the coaxial cable outlet in the living room.  He will  paint the bathroom ceiling next week.  I had problems with the computer in that Office 2019 had disappeared.  I tried buying a product key at www.royalcdkeys.com for Office 2021 for about $15, but it only installed Office 365, which seems to work just fine including Outlook for my email.  I also installed Frontpage 2002 for blogging.  I went outside, and I drank more coffee.  I have the apartment inspection at 4 P.M. this afternoon.  Two relatives will be arriving at 3:30 P.M. and also my social worker will be coming.  As far as I can figure out the apartment is setup just fine.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/04/24 Thursday 7:45 P.M.  I am about to eat a 18 ounce Stauffer’s 2X meat lasagna with grated parmesan and Romano cheese and a 12 ounce glass of www.coke.com Zero sugar.  I will then go to bed.  I have to wake up at 7 A.M. tomorrow.  CIO

01/04/24 Thursday 6:50 P.M.  I did a thorough vacuuming of the left side of the bed in the bedroom.  I also vacuumed the base board electric heater units, and I cleaned them with Fantastic.  I vacuumed the entire apartment.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/04/24 Thursday 5:35 P.M.  I chatted with a friend who has relatives visiting from Scotland.  I did not get any mail.  I chatted with a relative.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee.  The order with tracking of Track Package (am for Amazon.com: Ontel Mighty Sight LED Magnifying Eyewear : Everything Else for  $12.22 total. arrived.  I put them on the far right hallway bookcase.

01/04/24 Thursday 4:20 P.M.  I woke up at 10:30 A.M.  Building maintenance arrived.  I went downtown to www.starbucks.com , and I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a biscuit and a medium Peak coffee with Splenda sweetener and almond milk for $8.48 off my Starbucks card.  I ate it front of the senior center, and I sat out for about an hour.  I returned home.  Building maintenance replaced four ceiling panels and replaced the telephone jack face plate in the bedroom.  I then went to the Greenwich Hardware store, and I got three 8 inch lamp harps and a white  Rubbermaid sink water holder for $28.67 total.  I then returned home, and I install the lamp harps on the three lamps in the living room with new shades on the window shelf, so the shades are now lower.  I moved the barometer to the left living room closet door.  I went outside, and I drank a brewed coffee. 

The order with tracking of Tracking | UPS - United States on a gift from relatives four three deluxe glasses arrived.  I put them in the upper cabinet to the right of the kitchen sink.  Building maintenance arrived again, they need to get a face plate for the living room cablevision outlet, which I guess they will do tomorrow.  They are arriving tomorrow at 9 A.M. to spackle the ceiling above the bathroom sink.

01/03/24 Wednesday 10:35 P.M.  I went out to the Acme grocery store at 160 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a chicken salad sub for $7, six 12 ounce cans of Dole mandarin oranges for $2.49 each, four 18 ounce cans of Dole pineapple chunks for $2 each and a 48 ounce Simply Orange grapefruit juice for $4.99 for $35.03 total.  I then returned home, and I put the food away.  I put the grey bag back in car, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I ate half of the chicken salad sub with a 12 ounce glass of Fresca with three ounces of grapefruit juice.  I will now go outside again.  CIO

01/03/24 Wednesday 8:45 P.M.  I woke up at 11:30 A.M..  I ate my usual breakfast.  I showered, and I cleaned up.  I went to a 2:30 P.M. appointment.  I then sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park on Greenwich Avenue.  I paid a dollar in quarters to park. I then returned home.  I drank a brewed coffee.  I chatted with a relative a number of times and a friend.  I drank another coffee.  I moved around several items.  I moved the little oak table from the left side of the bed to the left side of the hallway entrance.  In the kitchen I threw out the two oak racks on the right side and two utensil holder pots.  I moved the Oster Convection over to the right side of the kitchen sink connected by an appliance cable.  I cleaned the far left side kitchen counter.  I removed the orange extension cord from that location, and I moved the small Amazon microwave oven to the far left side of the kitchen counter with the K cup coffee machine on top of it.  Earlier I picked up the mail.  I also moved the mirror from the outside wall in the bedroom to above the blue bookcase on the left in the kitchen.  I also moved the framed unicorn tapestry to outside northwest wall in the bedroom, and I raised up the duck picture in the hallway.

01/02/24 Tuesday  7:55 P.M.  I was awake at 2 P.M. this afternoon.  I ate my usual breakfast.  I drank my coffee outside.  I went by the Greenwich Hospital Thrift shop to see if they still have that sofa that my friend is interested in, but they were closed today.  I went by the Greenwich Hardware store, but they did not have what I was looking for.  I went by the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a five gallon bottle of water with bottle return for $8.99.  I then sat out for a long time in front of the Senior and the Arts Center.  I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com .  I then returned home.  I chatted with the Greenwich Communities person in charge of our building, and I was told that she likes the new apartment setup after having inspected it.  I brought up the 42 pound bottle of water with the little folding cart from the back seat of my car.  I chatted with a relative.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.

Tracking is USPS.com® - USPS Tracking® Results on the order for https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09328WC8L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details for $15.94.  I put the microwave lid on top of the Samsung microwave oven on top of the Highpoint refrigerator.  I put the microwave red plastic pot on the small shelf the left of the refrigerator.  I went out to Home Depot in Port Chester, and I bought a 15 foot 13 amp appliance cable and a 9 foot 15 amp appliance cable for $32.89 total.  I returned home.  I picked up the mail.  I chatted with a friend.  I hooked up the 15 foot cable in the bedroom, so it is available in the spring for 7000 BTU LG portable air conditioner, and I hooked up the nine foot cable in the living room to the heavy duty air conditioning plug connected to the 14000 BTU LG portable air conditioner which also can output heat.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO

01/02/24 Tuesday  12:05 A.M.  I ate my usual ham and cheese sandwich on pita bread with Fresca with grapefruit juice.  CIO

01/01/24 Monday  10:20 P.M.  I chatted with a relative a few more times about my new apartment setup.  I threw out the mahogany shelf in the kitchen to the right of the red push button wall phone.  I moved the mirror from the right side of the bed to the right side of the push button red phone in the kitchen.  I threw out half of the flatware.

01/01/24 Monday  8:25 P.M.  I woke up at 2 P.M..  I chatted with a relative a number of times, and I also chatted with a friend.  I ate my usual breakfast with two coffees outside.  I moved around some items.  I went out, and I dropped by the old picture of Charles Lindburgh at the Greenwich Hospital Thrift Shop.  I went by www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue twice, and I picked up two prescriptions.  I sat out in the Junior Chamber of Commerce Park.  I used the bathroom at the CFCF coffee shop.  I went to the Stop and Shop at 161 West Putnam Avenue.  I bought a four pack of croissants from the clearance section for $2.99, a six pack of Stop and Shop English muffins for $1.99, and two 48 ounce Ocean Spray diet cranberry juice for $4.09 each for $13.16 total.  I then returned home.  I put away the food.  I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I threw out the two old telephones on the left side of the living room television, and I moved from the bedroom wall the new AT&T two line telephone to the left side of the living room television.  I also threw out the shield of Pall Mall.  I also threw out the dollar weather station from CVS which is not needed.  I will now go outside and drink a brewed coffee.  CIO 

01/01/24 Monday  4:00 A.M.  I moved a few things around.  I channel surfed.  I went over to www.cvs.com at 644 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought a loaf of Pepperidge Farm 15 grain bread for $4.99 and a bottle of V8 Splash berry juice for $4.19 for $9.28 total.  I then went to Putnam Shell at 401 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $31.07 of self-service premium gasoline for $4.499 a gallon for 6.907 gallons at odometer reading of 125159 miles for 82.9 miles driven since Wednesday December 13, 2023 for 12.003 miles per gallon.  I then returned home.  I put away the food, and I drank a brewed coffee outside.  I will now eat my usual ham and cheese sandwich on pita bread with Hellmann’s mayonnaise with a glass of soda.  CIO
