I drank my coffee in front of the senior and the arts center. I then walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area. I used the bathroom at Starbucks. I sat out for a while longer. I went by Zyn Stationary, and I bought an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I lost. 01/29/19 Tuesday 12:30 A.M. Although my Greenwich Country Day year book from the class of 1965 disappeared a few years ago. I still remember a few things from my classmates besides the usual www.rockefeller.edu and www.biltmore.com group. One classmate Jerry Harrison was from President Harrison's family in Virginia and around 1965, I drove down with him and Mrs. Barclay with a U-Haul trailer to deliver some white iron furniture. Mrs. Barclay was the secretary for Carslie Humesline the director of Colonial Williamsburg. She lived in the restored old jail across the street from the yellow brick state asylum. One could drink beer at the Sir Walter Raleigh tavern even at age 15, and they had good smoked ham sandwiches. We toured James Town and Carter Hall which is quite a large colonial house on the James River. We also went to two weddings at the Country Club of Virginia and the Boars Head Country Club with a lot of traditional Virginia families with perfect southern manners. According to alumni manual twenty years ago, Jerry Harrison was a colonel in the www.army.mil in charge of all Army surface transportation. Also his Harrison family also started the Greenwich Hospital, and they also had a traditional rose garden behind their brick house on Round Hill Road. Another classmate James Paul Warburg is supposed to live in North Carolina, so maybe that is where all of the money is. Besides their small farm in back country Greenwich and a pied a terra in Deerfield Beach, Florida; they own a large chateau on East 65th Street just east of Park Avenue that takes up a half of a block that is about four stories high like a French Chateau with a couple of story of more high ceiling. Thus their Swiss bank somewhere in the world might have a little bit of wampum for whatever it is worth. However, in the old days in Greenwich besides having a lot of German items at their house, they also tried to sell chicken eggs to make a little extra money, and James Paul Warburg Junior was strong enough in warm weather that he rode a English Raleigh racing bike from back country to Greenwich Country Day besides having a split rear window Volkswagen. Although their politics might be a bit different than mine, they are constantly advertising in the local press trying to attack some business for the Armonk, New York Chamber of Commerce. James Paul Warburg was an army pilot in World War I, so possibly living near Westchester County airport, he knew other pilots in the area. All I know is the father smoked Lucky Strike cigarettes which was the currency in Germany after World War II. However, with all of their www.harvard.edu connections, they might have broaden their horizons. There was also Norwegian royalty in my class and children of local politicians. Since I never could afford to give any money to the school after graduating, they pretty much all gave up on me. However, Nancy Rockefeller "http://scott-mike.com/Nancy Rockefeller/" did start the school in her garage at her estate on Glenville Road, and she was Andrew Carnegie's niece, so the theme song from the school is Scotland the Brave. She also started the Merry Go Round Mews retirement home downtown and even washed dishes at the Senior and the Arts Center. Her husband Stillman Rockefeller was the oldest alumnus of the Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut; and he was the Chairman of Citibank and on the board of directors of the www.monsanto.com corporation. Thus although they are from the poor side of the Rockefeller family, the manage to survive. Also the Stillman family are supposed to be one of the wealthiest families in Texas. I bought two 10 packs of Acme blueberry waffles for $2 each pack, a 24 ounce Cary's sugar free maple syrup for $3.19 and a 42 ounce Smart Balance spread for $6.99 for $13.58 total. I then went downtown to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I sat out across the street on a quiet night. I gave a $1.25 to a local to buy a www.coke.com . At CVS, I toured the store. I three www.kraft.com extra creamy macaroni and cheese for $1 each, two 12.6 ounce extra crispy Cheez-its for $2 each, two 6 ounce Fig Newtons for a $1 each and a 4 ounce Saltines for $1 for $10 total. I then sat out across the street for a while longer. I then drove down to the Board of Education parking lot. I sat watching an empty www.starbucks.com without anything going on. It was a very quiet evening. I then drove over to the CVS at 644 West Putnam Avenue. I bought three Himalayan salt lamps for $19.99 each and for 75% off a 3 foot pink micros usb to usb cable for $1.25 less a $10 off $40 CVS mail coupon and less a $10 off $40 coupon from the previous purchase downtown and $2.47 tax for $41.37 total. 01/25/19 Friday 1:40 A.M. If one wants to drive out west in the dead of winter, I learned on several trips, one does not want to drive through the Rocky Mountains in the winter, because on the narrow two lane roads they get lots of snow in blizzards which can produce avalanches. One possible way, if one does not want to take the Southern Route on Interstate 10, is to try and make it as far west as Denver on Interstate 80 or 70, and instead of driving through the Rocky Mountains, one can try to drive north to Laramie, Wyoming which would be awfully cold. When I was there in October 1980, it was minus 21 degrees Fahrenheit. The University of Wyoming has lots of cold weather people whom like sun bathing on the cold days. Then one can drive the mostly deserted Interstate highway from Laramie to Reno, Nevada. It is not as mountainous, but mostly rolling plateaus with some steep parts thought, but it is mostly wide open spaces. There is enough fuel because there is a Sinclair oil refinery two hours west of Laramie. However, one has to be careful at the deserted rest areas, because there can be grizzly bears around. From Reno, one does not want to drive through the second range of mountains called the Sierra Nevadas, which had six inch of snow in August 1980. One would drive south to Las Vegas and take the major interstate into the Las Angeles area. Most people in that part of the country do not drive long distances, since a lot of them have private aircraft. I did the trip from Laramie to Reno at night in October, so I do not recall much of the landscape, but I did stop at some town in the mountains and get a replacement Continental snow tire with studs under warranty for one of the pair that I got in the www.sears.com tire dump in Dillon, Colorado on the first trip back east I think the previous year. Nevada is pretty flat and not as mountainous. Interstate 10 is a lot easier, but one has to drive about 800 miles down south from here to get to it. The Great Plains even if there is not too much snow still can have a lot of ice. I think on a another trip back, I discovered Eisenhower Military academy in Abilene, Kansas, where I found a new starter motor fork at the Buick Subaru dealership there, and I put it in at night next to the Eisenhower museum with a few cadets wandering whom that idiot from www.nantucket.net was. The Hearst ranch does have a Nantucket cove village on the ocean side of the Pacific coast highway, and there used to be a Nantucket restaurant in Malibu for what it may be worth. Basically instead of eating at fast food restaurants which can be expensive, I would go to grocery stores and buy Colby cheese, yogurt, and orange juice to survive the transcontinental trip. Interstate 10 is supposed to now have a lot of illegal alien bandits and wild deer. Once on the west coast, one can cruise the costal highway looking at the ocean. Laguna Beach and Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara were less populated areas to hang out for a while when traveling the coast. CIO

Having seen a great many senior citizens down size over my life time, I do not plan on doing anything except maintaining my simple routines as I know them from experience. I am feeling much better now that I have a little bit of heat going in the bedroom. Alas, artificial reality off the internet is not our local reality here in the bone yards of suburbia as the younger "Millennial" generation prefers to lead simpler urban lives and with many travel experiences. They no longer send post cards, but just post pictures on Face book for our diverse amusement. They turn on with a power strip. I woke up, and I ate a bowl of dry roasted peanuts. I finally woke up at 11 A.M.. I went outside. I chatted with a relative. I will eat breakfast of oatmeal with artificial sweetener and milk and a sliced banana, a toasted poppy seed bagel with Smart Balance spread and a 12 ounce glass of 40% cranberry juice and 60% cold Poland Spring water, a 10 ounce cup of my warm home made vanilla mocha frapucinno coffee, and vitamins and supplements. cIO

I ate a salad consisting of 3 ounces of Hearts of Romaine lettuce with a quarter of a ounce of watercress and one medium large almost rotten tomato cut into eighths and 2 ounces of Stop and Shop shredded six Italian cheese and a 5 ounce tin of drained and rinsed and flaked Bumble Bee solid white albacore tuna fish and 2 ounces of New York Texas Toast Caesar croutons and four sliced mushrooms and one fourth of a large sweet Vidalia onion diced seasoned with garlic powder, ground black pepper, Italian seasoning, with grated parmesan and Romano cheese on it and Wish Bone balsamic vinegar dressing and extra virgin olive oil and a 12 ounce glass of Fresca. I will now go outside again and throw out the garbage. CIO
01/13/19 Sunday 10:35 P.M.. I straightened up the white Captains chair area in the kitchen. I moved the spare www.perrier.com , Smuckers raspberry jelly, V-8 juice, olive oil and grape juice into the cabinet to the right of the white Captain's chair. I moved the spare nuts to lower right of the blue bookcase. I put the Cuisine Art on the lower left floor of the bedroom closet. I moved the cookies and crackers into the lower level of the white bookcase at the right entrance of the kitchen along with the kitchen scale and storage containers. I put the spare cereal underneath the right side of the white Captain chair. Thus the White Captains chair area is a lot neater and available for watching television or relaxing in the kitchen. The two broiler pans are also in that kitchen cabinet. However, I never use the www.ge.com stove. I mostly microwave or use the Farberware hot air oven. I will now go outside again. CIO

I used the bathroom at www.starbucks.com twice on those two rounds. I toured the www.apple.com store. I stopped by Zyn Stationary, and I played an Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, and I lost. I sat out in front of the Senior and the Arts Center and other places for a long time. I then drove to www.cvs.com on Greenwich Avenue. I toured the store three times, and I used the bathroom there. I bought for 75% off six 15 ounce Planter's Peanuts party trays for $3.44 each, two 19.25 ounce Planters Brittle Nut Medley for $2.06 each, two 14 ounce Progresso organic chicken and wild rice soup and one 14 ounce Progresso organic chicken noodle soup for $1.16 each, two 18 ounce Smuckers red raspberry preserves for $2.18 each, and a six ounce Swiss Miss French Vanilla Hot Cocoa mix for $1.09 less a $5 off $30 CVS coupon from their coupon machine and .07 tax for $33.76 total. I sat out across the street a number of times, and I chatted with a local. I then drove back down to the Board of Education parking lot. I chatted with two Starbucks regulars. I used the bathroom at Starbucks again. I bought a $2.07 medium coffee on my Starbucks card, and I put one packet of Splenda and half and half in it. I drank it outside at the Senior and the Arts Center. I chatted with an associate. I used my Trump phone to check out the web inside Starbucks where it is a bit warmer. News 12 said the Stratford, Connecticut Royal Shakespear theatre burned down. I then walked the lower Greenwich Avenue area some more. I sat out at various locations. I used the bathroom at Starbucks again. I then drove over to the Putnam Shell at 481 West Putnam Avenue, and I bought $16 of self service V Power premium gasoline for a dime a gallon off with my Stop and Shop card for $3.299 a gallon for 4.8496 gallons at odometer reading of 118119 miles for 61.1 miles driven since Thursday January 3, 2019 for 12.599 miles per gallon in local traffic. I then returned home. I filed this report. I will then go outside and drink a 10 ounce warm home made vanilla Mocha Frappucinno coffee. CIO

01/12/19 Saturday 11:25 P.M.. Earlier, when I went out, and I drank a 10 ounce warm home made vanilla Mocha Frappucinno coffee. Alas, nobody communicates with me in English, because a lot of the residents of foreign descent are not too familiar with the English language, and only know the propaganda on the local media, if one is interested in buying an over priced house that nobody else is dumb enough to buy. From what I know of the Art of the Deal is a lot of long term residents of the New York City area are letting the younger generation find their way around the Big Apple which mostly entails a lot of pededestrian type of activity. Since nobody communicates with me outside of a couple of family members, nobody seems to appreciate my experience of perspective which is not the Disney perspective for what it is worth. When the company called www.monsanto.con transferred my family here in 1962, Stillman Rockefeller who was the Chairman of Citibank was on the Board of Directors of Monsanto and Monsanto even shared a 40 story building in Manhattan with W.R. Grace and Company on the North Side of the New York Library and Bryant Park which is probably still there. The German company Bayer recently bought them. The Monsanto family are from Brazil. The local competitor www.dupont.com that makes dynamite and Gore Tex and Teflon also has a presence in this area, and I have seen Pierre Dupont and his relatives many times snooping around from down south. Rob Glore from Lake Forest, Illinois had a mother who was also a Dupont and liked Lady Bugs painted on the bottom of her swimming pool, so they figured out since the DuPonts owned the largest bank in Florida and were the largest land owners, they might have a warmer swimming pool, and the Glore family owned the largest lumber company in Wisconsin, so they might have had a few twigs to fix up Florida despite the weather hazards. I saw Rob Glore working as dog walker on Fifth Avenue after he gave up on Cayo Hueso. He had gone to school in Switzerland, so that family might also be involved in Swiss Banking. I do know from the 1970s, when Clint Eastwood made all of the spaghetti Westerns in Spain, and then they smuggled the film negatives out of Spain to distribute elsewhere, it was the Dupont family's way of getting some of their money out of Spain. I guess there are all sorts of other creative tax dodges in the world by various entrepreneurs. Even, the Rockefeller family spent a lot of money building planned cities in Mexico, which I guess was cheaper than heating all of Manhattan. We all get stuck in between the power struggles of these various competing families, and when push comes to shove, some of us always seem to survive, because we know from experience not to get involved. Low cost labor in what is called the third world which actually might be more modern has generated a lot of massive fortunes. Even though the Himalayan Salt Lamps were made in Pakistan, a minor company called Royal Dutch Shell www.shell.com was started in Pakistan where the Khan family have relatives. I still have not found out whether of not they are related to Gingus Khan or not. Gingus Khan was from Mongolia, and he got around the Great Wall of China with millions of cavalry on horses. From bits and pieces I know about history and New York City, so the so called movers and shakers are always using the term "Avant Gard" like they know something we do not know. In 1968 to 1972, when I attended www.lfc.edu there were 55 thousand military troops stationed around Lake Forest, Illinois. I did find out on the internet that Adlai Stevenson Junior's room mate at www.harvard.edu was the current Aga Khan. Also nearby in Libertyville, Illinois, the www.hsbc.com used to have their North American headquarters in a private community. Also the Chairman of HSBC used to be a next door neighbor of a relative, but he never showed up just a wild jaguar and a wild Bob Cat of some sort. Of course bankers and their clients tend not to give away money, and they are mostly in the business of making money, if one has not figured that out. Usually a few minor tax write offs get a few minor donations, to keep the general public at bay. For all I know that since nobody ever communicates with me locally the same old status quo exists here as it always as. It is just that we have all gotten older over the years. CIO

I moved the flash lights from the left kitchen entrance to the small white table at the apartment entrance. I moved the coin tip bank and the Dutch begging cup to the left front of the oak dining table. I moved the small red light lamp from the left side of the kitchen entrance to left window side of the oak dining table. I moved the large Himalayan salt lamp to the left side of the kitchen entrance. I probably will put the twelfth salt lamp on the same location of the far right oak dining table on the window side with the small lamp with the red light. I moved the larger salt lamp from the bathroom to the hallway bookcase, and I put the smaller one from the hallway bookcase in the bathroom. I will now go outside again. Tweaking apartments should be done in the light that one will use most of the time. As a night owl, I think in terms of the night time, and not the bright lights of Broadway or whatever the Big Apple people think about. CIO

I posted pictures of the final configuration of the Himalayan salt lamps http://scott-mike.com/salt-lamp/ The eleven salt lamps have 15 watt bulbs for 165 watts, and the nine 5 watt red bulbs are 45 watts, and the elephant light is a 15 watt bulb and the tube bulb by primary work computer is 25 watts, so that is 250 watts of even light through out the apartment, when I am working at nights which is most frequently. Thus I will not be using the extra electricity of the central lighting system, except for when I have to do some work around the apartment which calls for more light. Even though I have the night rate on my electricity bill, I hope to save some money on my electricity bill with the low lighting. Thus hopefully, I am more energy efficient. Most of the central lighting system though is only 15 watt white LED bulbs anyway, so the savings might not be there, but it is worth the effort. I noticed when I was out at Todd's Point this morning. Out southeast of us around Port Jefferson, Long Island; there was a huge plum of black smoke coming from where I think the Port Jefferson power station is out on Long Island, so possibly it is causing a bit of pollution out that way, or they are burning high sulfur coal or oil. I moved the four small flash lights from that table to in front of the Lazy Susan on the oak dining table. I put another one on the far side of the oak dining table on the window side. I put another one on the living room window shelf. I move one of the smaller lights to on top of the hallway center bookcase. I move another smaller one on top of the Farberware oven on the refrigerator in the kitchen. I moved another smaller one on the brass and glass table in front of the left living room closet. I moved the small elephant light from that location to the front edge of the primary work computer Brother laser printer to provide more light. I have a smaller one to the left of the Samsung television. I have another smaller one on the book case on the left side of the hallway entrance. Thus there are eight in the living room area, and one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, and one in the kitchen. I will now go outside and drink a 10 ounce warm home made vanilla Mocha Frappucinno coffee. I think these Himalayan Salt lamps although they come from Pakistan are like what the Gurus in the mountains of India might have used with candles in the old days. Possibly the Dali Lamas followers still use them in exile in India near the Tibet border. CIO

The new Netgear Switch turns on with the first switch from the far right power strip. Thus all of the LAN devices are connected to it except the primary and backup computers. I have the primary and backup computers on a seperate 8 port switch, so I can take them on and off line quickly to defeat the constant hackers that pry on idle computers. 01/11/19 Friday 2:05 A.M.. I reinstalled the Netgear FS108 on the primary work computer setup. I have seven of the black LAN cables connected to it for devices that only go at 100 mbps. The only black LAN not connected to it are the ObiTalk and the Sony player connected the Westinghouse monitor on the backup computer setup. The Netgear FS108 turned on with the rear switch of the center power strip on the primary work computer setup. I have 25 minutes and 40 minutes to go on two dry cycles. I went outside again. I put the new mattress cover on the mattress. I will put the washed old mattress cover on top of that with a fitted sheet on top of that to protect it. I will then put the other clean linens on the bed. CIO

He told me fifty thousand people work for R.C.A. Global Communications there on communications. At the Casino there, when we had dinner with his cousin Romsey, I saw a couple thousand young British people in formal attire, so I have a few witnesses that I met him. I did not want any strangers going through my address book and bothering people, I had only casually met over the years. To neaten up the far end of the oak dining table, I put ten of the www.microsoft.com Surface RT tablets in the center mahogany bureau drawer along with all of their cases, keyboards, power supplies, and wireless mice. I also removed two power strips. Thus only the ninth and eleventh Microsoft Surface RT 64 GB tablets are left on the far end of the oak dining table to have available for use. If I do not think I need them for emergency purpose any time in the near or far future, I can always easily sell them on Ebay for what I paid for them, since they all come with the Microsoft Office 2013 Office suite which a very expensive program. Thus I should also get that with the new net switfches on the primary and backup www.hp.com computers. However, most of the other devices are connnected with slower net switch or have LAN connections that only support 100 mbps. I can not leave them plugged into the D-Link Optimum wireless router though, because I like taking my primary and backup computers off line with the net switch when they are turned on, but not being used. One can do this very quickly. It takes longer to turn on and off the D-Link Optimum wireless router. CIO

Also the friends from Plandome Manor, Long Island moved to Short Hills, New Jersey to be near Newark airport to make frequent trips on Swiss Air to keep an eye on their household accounts.
